My husband and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary (2/10-2/12) with plans for a longer trip once Spring arrives. Our hosts (Mike & Kyra) were absolutely the kindest, most down to earth B&B hosts we have had in all our experiences at B&B Inns. They went above and beyond our expectations in making us feel at home... and their Valentine's brunch on 2/11 was both delicious and memorable. We started our stay in their 'Palladian' suite but after climbing the stairs to this spacious 3rd floor suite we realized we should have chosen a suite with less steps - and on our second morning they graciously helped us settle into their 'Churchtown' suite on the 2nd floor of their beautiful Inn. The location was excellent... close enough to interesting shopping (check out Urban Southern located just a hop and skip away) and dining (Shady Maple Smorgasbord is just a few miles away). Also close enough for a drive to Strasburg (antique shops and the Fireside Inn were our favorites), as well as a great deal on an Amish made quilt in Intercourse at Nancy's Corner'. Anyway- highly recommended Inn... you'll love their accommodations, their food, and their welcoming and warm hosting! P.S. We were pleasantly surprised to have an Amish family (Dad, Mom, their 4 youngest kids and dog) staying at the Inn our second night... we enjoyed lovely conversations in the evening and at breakfast... and they amused us when they told us they had come so they could watch the Super Bowl game! Lol P.S.S. They obviously belong to a very 'open' division of Old Order Amish to allow this- and yes, they also said they were fine with my video and photos of their family. :-) read more

This inn is absolutely beautiful!! I hosted a staff retreat here for an overnight and it was just perfect! We rented the whole inn and the innkeeper was so accommodating!! She was so kind and hospitable! The inn was so clean and comfortable even though they were doing some major renovations! We felt so spoiled and had everything we could ever need or want! It was so amazing that the innkeeper was so present and made everyone in our retreat feel so special! The rooms were cozy and the beds were SO COMFORTABLE! One of the comfiest beds I've ever slept on! The grounds were so beautiful and made me feel like I was in the secret garden! The food was excellent, the service was AMAZING and the effort that was put into making sure our retreat guests were comfortable was unmatched! 10/10 would recommend this Inn to anyone!! Where to begin?...We found this gem driving back a month prior after revisiting a B&B in another part of PA where we had gone for over 25 years. Well, this place run by Laurie and her daughter Kendall is awe inspiring. The moment you walk in you're family. Really, no cliche - you're really family. The little things make the difference - the mini fridge stocked with beverages, snacks in the room, Wi-Fi, flat screen tv etc...It's all there. This had to be our single most enjoyable time at a B&B. My mom and I come to the Lancaster area every December for the Belsnickle tour of the bed and breakfasts all throughout the area. We happened to tour the Twin Linden last year, and after meeting Laurie (and her daughter, Kendal), we just knew we wanted to stay with them on our next visit! Upon check-in, Laurie bestowed us with the best early Christmas present--a room upgrade to the Sarah Jenkins room! The large king bed (and super luxurious sheets) were divine, and as a new mother, I appreciated the extra space! Laurie even accommodated me needing to use her refrigerator, which was extremely generous. She truly felt like an old friend, someone I would have loved to spend more time with. The breakfast was amazing, too--she doesn't give herself enough credit with her culinary skills! We can't wait to go back, and we recommend you do, too! read more

We came to the Inn at Twin Linden very last minute for a one night stay. From the time I booked on the phone to when we left the Inn, Laurie made our stay pleasant and enjoyable. We had everything we needed in our room (The Palladian Suite) from a little refrigerator fully stocked to great snacks and a warm fireplace. We really enjoyed the set up of the room which included a nice sitting area with a view of beautiful farmland, a comfortable bed close to the fireplace, an area with a jetted tube and then a large bathroom. Laurie has all the details taken care of and provided us an amazing three course breakfast. We can't wait to return again for a little get away! Thank you Laurie! read more

I stayed at this Inn in 2018 while attending a local equestrian training event. I had a wonderful stay and Laurie was fantastic. I booked the palladian suite and it was fantastic. Super private with a gorgeous view of the countryside. Away from the street so very quiet. The room was huge with a full living area and sleeping area. A giant soaking tub big enough for two and a full shower. Laurie was super accommodating because of the schedule for the class I was taking. Do the hours I would be missing breakfast but she was so kind to have some takeaway goodies for me every morning so I could eat them on my way to class. She also helped me order food in one evening when I arrived very late. The accommodations were wonderful. The bed was extremely comfortable. And the room felt like my own little apartment. I would love to stay with her again next time I come visit for this class. read more

Absolutely love this place. I stayed in the linden room back in July, the room was clean and cozy, also had a cute fireplace and comfortable whirlpool tub. Very romantic feel. The 3 course breakfast was delicious. Fresh home cooked meals. When i returned home I was disappointed to to open an oj juice carton, thats how I spoiled i was about the fresh food experience. The dining area has individual sitting tables so you don't have to sit next to strangers. Norm and Sue were super friendly and helpful, providing maps to the markets, and attractions. I will definitely go again, hopefully very soon before the winter comes. read more

Laurie is her name. And she said it's too bad for us. We had an emergency and had to go to New York. Hi. We live in Pennsylvania about 30 miles from the Twin Linden. I booked through Hotwire and dealt with them and they said "sure we can have your money refunded." Almost $200.00 for one night. The owner basically said oh well, it's not my fault you had an emergency. Sorry no refund. This is coming from and very peaceful and beautiful place in PA near Lancaster. I have never seen such non-hospitality from an In owner. We have never not been able to make a reservation in the past, but don't do it here. You'll just get screwed! To everyone at The Inn at Twin Linden, YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES FOR KEEPING OUR MONEY WHEN WE EXPLAINED OUR SITUATION TO YOU. A FAMILY EMERGENCY COMES FIRST. There is so much to say about this Inn. Laurie the Innkeeper is a sweet woman who makes you feel welcomed the minute you pull into the driveway. The common areas of the Inn are beautifully decorated in Victorian furniture. The bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and extremely clean as are the private baths. The little personal touches such as the evening cordials and baked snacks and turn downed beds awaiting your return to your room were just perfect. There are snacks and drinks in the common area should you want a quick snack. The 3 course breakfast made with fresh locally grown produce and foods was simply delicious. Fresh orange juice and fresh ground coffee is waiting for you in the morning. The back patio area and gardens are serene with fountains and winding lighted paths at night look beautiful. The lower back lawn with the mountains and farms as a backdrop is simply gorgeous. I definitely plan on going back in the near future. read more

I was terribly disappointed with my visit to the Inn at Twin Linden. Upon arrival, we realized that a new owner had recently bought the inn, which obviously accounts for the great reviews from prior years, and my less-than-stellar review now. There was no phone in the room (how are you supposed to reach the innkeeper/staff without a phone in the room...cell phone, I guess). There was also no hand soap in the bathroom, even after the room was cleaned the first night. The TV seemed to be quite outdated (there was also a VCR) and the TV was super small. The staff didn't make us feel like we were guests at all; we were essentially on our own. All in all, I would not recommend this inn to anyone, nor would I ever stay there again. read more
