I have never gotten professional portraits done and I was wanting something that captured my essence as I've become more aware that I'm not getting any younger. My goal was to bottle up this moment in time of who I am and who I've become. I relied on Jamie's creative eye and eagerness to experiment and explore. She did not disappoint!! I've done two shoots with The Inspired Capture, a holiday shoot and a portrait shoot. The results of both were amazing! For the holiday shoot, photographer Jamie set the scene with cotton-ball snow and oversized ornaments. I came with poses ready, but she helped me adjust them to capture my best angles and features. For the portrait shoot, I wanted to be more natural and elemental; we stripped things down in an intimate boudoir-style session and focused on subtleties, such as facial expressions, hand gestures, and light and shadows. I felt perfectly comfortable being undressed in front of her; she put me right at ease and was professional in every aspect. I am in love with the photographs I received; the raw pics looked incredible. I chose to edit and finish just a few, and the editing process with Jamie was also easy. She's so communicative and incorporated all the small changes I wanted to make to finalize the photographs. I will definitely be working with Jamie again, maybe next time on a video reel. I've been in group dance classes where she's captured movement, and, as a dancer herself, she also does a great job knowing how to highlight the body in motion. I also want to work with her on some portraits of my companion animals, and as she is an animal lover, I know she will be wonderful with them too. read more

I was given the opportunity to work with Jamie for a shoot to showcase a brand of heels. First of all, her organization and communication skills are top notch! She sends emails with detailed information about the shoot, what to expect, the vibe of the shoot, map guide on how to get to the venue, and so on. She also sends a reminder email closer to the shoot date. She's also very easy to work with. She gives pointers and ideas as to what types of moves would work well with the vibe you're going for (it was a poledance videosoot). I had no idea how obsessed with myself I could be.. until now. Jamie is a video-gician and now I am obsessed with myself. I first discovered Jamie's work through Instagram and saw that she filmed dancers in LA who I really admire. When I found out she was coming to San Francisco to shoot at my home studio, I knew I had to jump at the chance to film with her. Jamie filmed a 2 minute choreography of me at San Francisco Pole and Dance, a place very near and dear to my heart, and she captured all the magic perfectly. Prior to the shoot, we connected and talked about the concept and the mood we wanted to capture, which I really appreciated! There was a specific emotion I wanted to capture in my dance and and she understood it perfectly. This was my first time working with a videographer and I now understand how important it is to work with someone who makes you feel comfortable.
