1/5 Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a very long time. We specifically stopped at The Iron Grill because I wanted my dad to try the wings, which I had enjoyed in the past. From the moment we sat down, however, our server was extremely unfriendly and seemed irritated by even basic questions. We asked him to explain a few items on the menu, and he either didn't know the answers or acted as though we were inconveniencing him simply by asking. We ordered three orders of wings, and approximately 10 minutes later our server returned to tell us they were out of wings except for enough to make one order. We went ahead with the one order, and unfortunately, they were terrible and nothing like what I remembered. The biggest issue, though, was the flies. I am not exaggerating when I say there appeared to be well over 100 flies inside the restaurant. There were easily 20+ flies gathered along each side of the backs of our booth, and throughout the meal we were literally trying to protect our food and drinks from flies landing on them. It was extremely unpleasant and raised serious concerns for us about the cleanliness of the establishment. We also weren't given silverware or napkins until we asked for them. The drinks were another disappointment. I ordered a Pendleton and Coke, my dad ordered a dirty martini, and my girlfriend ordered a Washington Apple. All three drinks tasted watered down and were poorly made. What really sealed the experience for us was the service at the end. Our bill was approximately $120. I am normally a very good tipper and would typically leave $20-$25 on a bill like this. Despite how poor the service had been, I still left $10 because I have never been comfortable leaving nothing, and I also didn't know whether tips were shared with the kitchen or other employees. Our server then came back to the table, rudely tossed the receipt and change down, and said, "Here is your receipt and change." There was no thank you or anything else. The three of us just looked at each other in disbelief because it seemed very obvious that he was unhappy with the amount of the tip. After being treated that way, I picked up the $10 I had left and we walked out. This became the first time in my life that I have left a restaurant without tipping. As we were leaving, it also appeared that our server was discussing us with another waitress and other staff members, which was a fitting end to an already terrible experience. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, especially for a place I have previously supported, but this experience was unacceptable from beginning to end. Between the attitude from our server, the lack of basic service, disappointing food and drinks, and an unbelievable number of flies throughout the restaurant, I can't recommend The Iron Grill based on our experience. I understand the restaurant is under new ownership, and I sincerely hope the owner takes feedback like this seriously because there is a lot that needs improvement. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be returning or giving this establishment our business again. read more

Tried multiple times as I've passed through. It's as local as it gets to support any business in a small town. Absolute raw burger. Second try just as raw. Even said to just throw it on the grill and burn it. The rest is standard nothing, special that my 12 year old could have prepared. Service is sub par with overly direct attitude. Simple orders shouldn't be a struggle, and to throw profanity around a restaurant is unprofessional. read more

This is our place of choice when we dine out locally. The menu is excellent, food is good and service is friendly and efficient. I am on a quest to try everything at least once, and so far haven't been disappointed! I have had salads, burgers, bowls and steaks at this point, all were delicious. We are retired so have more flexibility but typically just do two meals a day. Because of that we have adopted the habit of arriving earlier for dinner and notice things can get busy as the evening goes, especially on Friday and Saturday..... the sign of a good place! read more

Stopped in for a drink and a snack. Great bar seating, a few booths, and several mobile tables typical of these small town haunts. Sat at the bar. The servers were busy so took a few but once they got to us, service was prompt and friendly. The wine list is better than I expected (Oyster Bay, Browne). Not high end but solid. The menu is diverse but not too big. Lots of house made items. We ordered the sliders and they were awesome -- fresh meat, well seasoned, good BBQ sauce. The chef clearly cares a lot. I am pretty sure this little place may have been amazing at one time .... But it is t now. We stopped in after a hunting trip, there were 6 tables with 2-3 people at eat table. Two servers and a bartender. We waited 45 minutes for a bowl of clam chowder. (It tasted like thick glue) .Then we waited a total of 65 minutes for a very expensive plate of 6 under cooked buffalo wings. Slimy, cool on the inside and the batter was soggy. We watched as one guy left because he had "been forgotten about" per his loud disdain. The bartenders response "what ever, he is t a local anyway". Two ice teas, a pretzel, wings and chowder was $65. We will chalk that up to donating to a local charity. I do NOT recommend! Don't bother and if you do go , bring lots of cash for this outrageously expensive place. read more

I have been here a couple of times and the food is way over priced for what it is. It's truly nothing more than ur basic bar food of burgers and wings and such. The service is ok if you sit at a table and it's better if you sit at the bar. The atmosphere could use some updating as well. We always have excellent service, food and beverages when we visit the IG. The staff are always friendly even when the place is slammed. Patty and her team do a wonderful job. Never have had a bad experience here and we've eaten there regularly since they opened. From their burgers to salads, pasta and steaks, they truly make quality food. read more

This is a great find in the small town of Tonasket, WA if your on the way to or from the Canadian border. I highly recommend if your looking for American cuisine made from scratch and is absolutely delicious. Great service, comfortable atmosphere and conveniently located on the main road through town. Any of their food options would be a great choice but I highly recommend the 8oz bacon wrapped Filet with seasonal veggies and baked potato. Great job Iron Grill! read more

Wow. We were out for a drive and stopped in for lunch. Excellent atmosphere. Tasteful western theme without being over done. Clean as anything. Very helpful waitstaff. Not overly present but always available. She was also able to make a hot buttered rum during a time of year those aren't common. Food was excellent. I had a great chef salad and my wife's burger was excellent. Not good. Not ok. Excellent! We will be back. I wish we'd have found them before now. read more

How does this place not have any reviews yet? We have been here twice while visiting Tonasket and walked away happy both times. The first time we just had drinks with friends and our bartender was very friendly. The second time, we sat at the bar again and ordered a couple of appetizers. The wings were very good, but the lettuce wraps were mediocre. We were there on a Thursday, so we got to enjoy Open Mic night. Looking forward to going back again and trying their entree menu. The food coming out of the kitchen looked very good and the restaurant area was packed. So glad there is a place like this in Tonasket. read more

The Iron Grill was a great place with quality food. The fish & chips were halibut, and were excellent. Now they are cod, and are just average. The burgers were quality beef and were excellent. Now they are lower quality pre-made patties, and are just average. We didn't mind the higher prices when it was higher quality. Now we are hesitant to return. Wish Iron Grill would return to high quality food!! read more
