There were two ladies working in the store, and both welcomed us and said hello, asked if we needed help. Much improved! This is the store you go to buy sea shells, that's it! They have a few tee-shirts and hats but you come here to buy a shell or two or 10. There are probably thousands of different shells, from tiny shells to larger shells, some are pick yourself and some are behind a case. There are also decorative shells and very rare shells that sell for over $100. I do think you should stop here for shells, I also think they are expensive in ways. I am not sure where they purchase their shells but some that are super tiny, can run over $1.50 a shell. My wife bought one that was $2.00 and was smaller than a dime. But I guess it might be rare. I think most of these shells, especially the small ones should be 25 cents. My wife and her family like to do crafting so having a large mix variety of shells would also be beneficial. Overall this is your spot to go for sea shells. Plain and simple. It is the best spot in my opinion, there are a few stores around the island that sells shells, but Sea Shells has by far the biggest selection!

There was a younger lady and an older lady, but both were welcoming, greeted us, asked if we needed help and were just friendly. It was such a great improvement! This is your one stop shop for buying shells. All those seashells you want but cannot find, this is where you come. They have thousands of different shells, from tiny shells to larger shells. They also have decorative shells that either have been made into a figurine or painted. We always buy a couple unique looking ones. Sanibel and Captiva are known for their shelling but some of these you just never find, or at least we have never found. My only issue still is with the price. Some of the tiniest shells cost so much money! A tiny starfish the size of quarter might run you $1.50 or more. The prices just seem high. I would expect the tiny ones to be around 25 cents, but I think the cheapest one is 50 cents. I don't know where they get their shells from, but I do think its expensive. I also wish they had a big bag of random shells put together. I didn't really see that and you have so many options, it would be nice. Picking one tiny shell at a time can be a hassle and costs add up quickly. Overall this is your spot to go for sea shells, if there is something you really want, they have it here. A lot of unique shells, even some rare shells. I would highly recommend stopping here now that the customer service has improved!

They had a lot to choose from between shirts and shoes, which is what we were looking for. We ended up purchasing quite a bit and went twice. I got a pair of cute Croc sandals, my boyfriend got the sandals he wanted and we got shirts for family members as well as some other items. The shoes were priced very fairly. They were double the price at other stores in the area. Make sure to check the back of your receipt so you can use the discount if you go back. We weren't aware of the discount on the back of our first receipt so we didn't take it with us when we went the second time. Jose checked us out the second time and told us about the discount on the back so we knew for the future. We said we had already been there a few days before and wished we had been told by Massiel so we would have brought the previous receipt with us bc we spend about $100 each time. It would have saved us 15% the second time.

A few weeks ago, we went in to get my son fitted for his prom tux. At first, everyone was very…read morefriendly and we were excited for the experience. Unfortunately, things took a major turn the night of prom. When my son's friend opened his tux bag at the hotel room, there was a very strong cigarette smell coming from the tux. These are minors getting ready for prom, so that was pretty shocking and unpleasant right away. Then my son realized his tux pants were way too large. He noticed a pin still stuck in the pants (photo attached), pulled it out, and immediately stuck his finger badly enough to bleed. Leaving tailoring pins inside a finished tux rental is completely unacceptable and honestly dangerous, can even lead to disease. Also the pin was probably there because they needed to be altered. No other reason I can think of. Because the pants were falling down, we had to rush to Dillard's right before prom started to buy an emergency belt just to make the outfit wearable in time. I called Crystal, the owner, hoping for help or at MINIMUM an apology. Instead, she immediately became defensive and stated she was "too busy" and "with other customers right now." She insisted the pants fit him perfectly, which essentially implied we were being dishonest, despite the obvious pin left in the garment and the fact that the pants were unusable without buying another item. What shocked me most was not even the mistake itself, mistakes happen in business. It was the complete lack of accountability, concern, apology, or attempt to resolve the situation. As a business owner myself, I cannot imagine responding to a customer this way on such an important night for a teenager. And after my son brought his friends there. Gross. Prom is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and the added stress right before the dance was incredibly disappointing. I would strongly recommend others double-check their alterations and garments carefully before leaving the store or steering clear.

After trying it on and walking around the store I went to the checkout area. One sales person was checking out a customer. One was doing some paperwork and another was just straightening up things. Obviously standing there no one greeted me or questioned my presence. Not until I asked if I could check out did I get any service. My friend then stood by paper work person. No response. She moved to my line thinking she would be next. The sales person actually LEFT the checkout area after helping me! Ignoring my friend. I had to go over to her and get her attention. Very odd staff. Felt they were only attentive if you had an aura of money. Forgot to add my other friend would not buy anything in the store because earlier this month she was reprimanded by a staff member for taking a picture of a shirt she thought her mom would like but she is home bound and unable to shop.
