He lengthened a strap so now i can wear s pair of expensive shoes. Without the extra length the shies would be useless.

This is a wonderful place that explains in detail what the cost are. The shipping . The heel sizes. They send you out an envelope. And if you do two pairs at a time there is a discount . We are getting ready once again as I write this review to send 4 pairs in. My husband works in these . Excercise's like crazy. Walked all day in the job he just retired from a couple years ago. Mows lawns in them. Etc.The heels hold up! If I posted a picture of the boots all the shoes he wore out. The heel is still there! lol. Their work is a perfect the heel matches exactly on the shoes and Danner boots . On the Nike tennis shoes etc. Ilya and his company and staff were God send literally . When I found this company online years ago after my husbands hip surgery that didn't go as planned. And he ended up having one leg shorter than the other. it was a miracle to come across this online after searching back in the day . Every doctor back then just referred you to an orthopedic store for lifts on the inside of the shoe which it didn't even make sense. Then I found American Heelers! I wish I could shout it from the rooftops to every person that had to have a lift! I'm so grateful! You won't find a nicer person than IIyla. He's honest and his character speaks loudly in a world that doesn't take the time anymore. Don't hesitate or feel uncomfortable to ask questions. You will be forever grateful you found this company! I know my husband is. :) American Heelers.

I really wanted to support a "small family business," but after two separate attempts, I'm done. My…read moreexperience as a US disabled veteran needing modifications for leg length discrepancy has been incredibly frustrating and costly. First Experience: The quality was subpar from the start. The slippers they modified broke almost immediately. When I reached out, they were "receptive" to a fix, but all they did was apply some glue--which failed again right away. I eventually gave up and just glued them myself rather than dealing with their back-and-forth. No refund was offered, despite the enormous shipping fees they charge. Of course, they will make excuses in their response to this review such as they didn't have to honor it or it was outside their return period but it was clearly defective work. Second Experience (Recent): I decided to give them another chance with a pair of Birkenstocks. Because I was traveling, I provided very clear communication regarding a change of address if the turnaround was a week. They completely ignored my instructions and shipped them to the wrong address. They will claim they went by what the form said but it was clearly written there that if they were sending it early, to mail it to a different address. I even emailed them to confirm and gave them the address. They still ignored it and wouldn't even acknowledge their mistake. Instead, having excuses how they can't satisfy individual changes due to their volume. Why respond by email you will then? Customer Service: Instead of acknowledging a simple clerical error, they acted like they did nothing wrong. It took me threatening a credit card dispute just to get them to refund one-third of the shipping cost so I could get the shoes redirected to the right place. After I did that, they said they are firing me as a costumer and had the guts to send me a threat of bad karma by messaging. Shows super unprofessional. If you are a small business, you should be able to honor what you say in your emails and provide quality repairs. I cannot recommend them. To my fellow veterans: If anyone knows of a reliable alternative for heel additions or is looking to start a business in this niche, please speak up. There is a huge need for a company that actually values its customers and does quality work.

I haven't seen this kind of costumer service and knowledge of a product in a long time!…read moreWalked in and was promptly greeted by Kristen who took her time to analyze and explain everything about about the way I walk and jog, after the results from their FIT machine! Than brought me different type and brand of shoes to try! Never once tried to push a product or just make a sale. There were more costumers in the store and one could tell they are more interested in giving you as much knowledge and answering all your questions than pushing you to just buy something! They seem to take a lot of pride on what they do and that makes you feel good about walking into a store like that. I ended up buying a pair of running shoes, socks and a sole insert that goes with my specific foot arch. Probably the most comfortable running shoes I have ever had, hope it will make a difference! Don't think twice about walking in there, even if you never jogged or worked out before, they will take their time to put you on the FIT machine that analyzes everything about your feet and show you the perfect shoes, and most importantly, let you make the final decision based on their advice and expertise! This will definitely be my go to store for all running, jogging, workouts shoes from now on!

They busier than normal for evening but were all very pleasant and walked us through the process of getting signed up and going for the fitting. Maggie listen to all my needs and treated like a queen. She made sure I was 1000% sure with my shoe purchase. They had a nice selection of brands to choose from. The pricing was fair and I even qualified for a health care worker discount. The other two young ladies working that even were amazing as well. They all communicated exceptionally to make this shopping experience everything I needed and more. I can't wait to shop at fleet feet in the near future. I love a good shopping experience and good customer service. Great job team.

The problem is the old timer who owns and runs the joint, he's a jackass on another level. I don't care how knowledgeable you are, if you are such an ass with an even worse tone of voice and condescending as all hell people won't want to do business with you. Tried to tell me that though I was diagnosed with flat feet when I was born that it's my boots that are the problem and caused me to have flat feet. Also irked me that the old timer dang near hit me in the face with his cigarette when he came out to assist. I was calm and polite even with him cursing and being an ass and telling me I'm full of shit and have no idea what I'm talking about with a diagnosis I've had my entire life. When the old timer finally hangs up his tools I'd definitely be willing to give it another shot with the young kid or if the old timer is willing to apologize for being an ass and conduct business like an adult.

When I told him I did not want to try on a different size, he started screaming, and cursing me out! saying "you screwed me"! And it just got worse from there. Even with a store full of customers, he continued yelling and cursing. Prior to me buying the pair I was returning, I had asked him to reline the back of the heel of my less than six months old, $250 work shoes. The way he "repaired" them, caused my heel to slip horribly at work the next day. (he glued in a piece of leather, without bothering to fix the padding on the top inside of the heel that keeps your heel from moving up and down) Because I walk anywhere from 10 to 15 miles on concrete per day, I developed horrible blisters. When I took them back in, he got rather obstinate, complaining that I really need to get a new pair of shoes instead of trying to fix these (again... They were less than six months old Red Wings!). His second "repair" was actually a peel and stick pad for the underside of a shoe's tongue. While this worked SLIGHTLY better, it still had problems. By now I could barely walk at work. Over the weekend, after a friend recommended speaking to Ann (who has 30 years in the business) at Lucky shoes in Canton. She was fantastic! Turns out, Bill had recommended the wrong. size. I needed a full size bigger and. 4 E width. You know, I've been in Shoemaker's a few times over the years and on more than one occasion I heard him berate or get nasty with another customer. I honestly thought at the time that it was him joking with customers that he knew. Turns out he's just a cranky old man.
