It was incredibly overbaked, as the outermost 1/4" or so was very dark brown and hard as a rock. Like, it literally made noise if you tapped it. Yet the baker saw fit to ice it and sell it to people. Any decent bakery would have chalked this batch up as a failure and thrown them out. Though I have to admit, if you cut away the outside, the part that remained was quite good. I just wish they had better quality control and did not try to pawn off second-rate failures to customers, especially since their cinnamon rolls are like $5 each.
