    Peaches and cream croffle
    Akash J.

This place was just croffle. I mean, croffle-amazing. Uh, I've got croffle on the brain. A croissant mashed into a waffle iron, and optionally topped with fruit and cream: that's a croffle. It was great but honestly I feel like the cinnamon sugar or plain ones would work better than the fruit--they're a little heavy but still delicious. My son had a plain croissant and said it was flaky and crisp, the best he'd ever had. (His other basis is Costco croissants, and this was definitely better!) Service was fast and friendly, seating was limited (we took our stuff to go) but the cafe area was cute. We'll definitely return for iced coffee!

Known for their croissants, this place has a charming vibe with tables inside and a couple outside. I highly recommend trying the banh mi sandwiches as well as the baguettes to go. I recently used on of their baguettes with bruschetta and it was perfectly crisp on the outside and pillowy on the inside.

Finally got to try this place. It is lovely. It is definitely not the original Boulanger, but this one has their own variety and great for the Media area. More variety, delicious, clearly posted wifi. Lemon chicken nicely packed so that it doesn't spill and quick service. Flavorful sandwich and coffee is on-point. Pastries are flavorful as well. With limited days, I wish they were open more in the evening as well- especially Sat evening. Maybe a crowd from the Media theater where they hold plays catered to older crowds might come out. People are friendly. They should consider TooGoodToGo for their leftover pastries and such.

Oh, this is dangerous now. This place is closer to me than the Philly location and they take credit. 15lbs, here I come. Haha, but in all seriousness, they have the best croissants. The outside is crispy yet fluffy on the inside. I came here for my wife since she was craving their sweet sticks. Oh, you never heard of it?! Just try it!! You won't be disappointed. As for the viet coffee and banh mi.. get those too. The iced viet coffee is so addictive. You would never view coffee the same again.

At last!!!! A real bakery has come to Media. I'm proud to be the first to review-- had been a huge fan of their South Philly location but didn't get there often due to distance. Flaky, buttery, crisp croissants--- this is the real deal.

    Macaroons and Banh Mi chicken

I don't typically leave reviews but this was really great. I popped in late in the day, everything was sold out except the sweets and banh mi. People inside were taking highly about it. While I was there, 4 or 5 different people came in to see if they had anything left to buy- really good sign. I was there for maybe 20 mins lol. Staff was very nice and place is clean. Got macaroons and a chicken sandwich. Was a pretty pricey but macaroons are the real deal. I was in Paris last week and it's on par with the better patisseries over there. Wasn't expecting much with the chicken but that was also amazing. Definitely just became one of my favorite spots in the town.

Buuuuut the cookies are one thousand times better than their more famous competitor, so I will continue to buy their cookies. Speaking of their lousy competitor I won't name, the cookies here are always cooked the whole way through and yet still maintain their soft centers. I love how the edges are crispy and the center is doughy (but fully cooked!). It's more like a brownie in consistency than a cookie. The Firecracker is their best offering in my opinion. It is their s'mores flavor and it's more like a graham cracker blondie than a cookie, and it's super buttery to boot. I also really liked the Purple Haze, which is a white chocolate chip cookie. It's probably their most gimmicky cookie, but it's well done and the white chocolate gives the flavor more depth than you realize. The chocolate chip and sugar cookies are also really good, but I would go for one of the more unique flavors going forward. Great cookies, for sure. The branding is just kind of off. I like them anyway.

The space appears brighter and more inviting than before, and their menu although small had additional specials. The young man who greeted us at the door was also our server. When I asked him about the French onion soup, he said it was their most popular appetizer, so we both decided to try it. Toasted French bread and a delicious butter flavored with a bit of tomato was lovely as we enjoyed our own wine. (The restaurant is still BYOB.) A complimentary "shot" of mushroom soup was hot and creamy. When the French onion soup came out, we couldn't say enough about it. It wasn't overly cheesy or "bready" as it just had a few toasted croutons on top. The soup itself wasn't too salty as onion soup sometimes tends to be. As an entree, I had the special which was rock shrimp with a Fra Diavolo sauce over pasta. It wasn't as spicy as I had hoped, and I would have loved bigger pieces of shrimp/more shrimp, but it was still good. My husband enjoyed his harissa lamb ragout over cavatappi even though his was spicier than expected and, similar to mine, could have had more lamb. Our attentive server made sure everything came out at the right time. The restaurant was quiet and comfortable, and we enjoyed a rare weeknight out. I'm sure we'll be back.

For the price Fond charges, you can get great French food in NYC. I'm a bit disappointed since I had high hopes. I think if they increase the portions and work on their presentation this place could be better.
