I have no idea what other people are talking about. We had an INCREDIBLE experience here. Everyone was so welcoming and pleasant to deal with. It was a first time here and they took the time to explain everything. The girl at the counter (I really wish I had asked for her name) explained the coffee, the tea, the treats, and how to get breakfast sandwiches. The owner was so kind when we were trying to figure out what type of bagel we wanted. We ended up going with the Bagel with the works (Salmon, cream cheese, tomato, onion, and capers.) My daughter got the onion bagel and she said it was amazing. I went with the egg bagel and well...we ended going to Walmart, buying a cooler and ice because I could only eat half. I was not going to throw it away, it was that good. We also got pecan sandies rolled in powdered sugar. I did enjoy them, I just wish that had more almond or nutty flavor. Stay away, they give cakes to people who picked a cake up and it was the wrong cake and called asked for it back, because it was another person's cake they were going to deliver it to them. Thats illegal. Once you walk out a door with food anything could happen. Went in to give back wrong cake and they gave the wedding cake and we asked for a refund for our troubles. The loveliest bakery and bagel shop - I would be here all the time if I lived in PA. Was on an East Coast road trip with my family and got stuck in torrential thunderstorms / flooding on the highway and had to make an emergency stop in Reading for the night. Got breakfast here before hitting the road. Had the most amazing lox bagel sandwich on a Black Russian bagel which has now ruined all other bagel sandwiches for me - it was soooo good - chewy, light, and so flavorful. So I was in the mood for a New York style breakfast. Wanted a bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel so I googled bagel shop near me. Dosie dough popped up and since I was in the area I said why not. Let me support a a small business. Ordered a breakfast sandwich (egg, tomato, onion, turkey cheese on everything bagel), donut and chocolate croissant. Tell me how it came to $16. Overpriced for one. I feel like she up charged me. Because the donut was $1.10 the croissant $2.75 and the sandwich $4-4.50. How is that $16??? I let it slide because I didn't want to make a "scene". The sandwich was salty. The bagel had too much salt on it which killed the sandwich. Had to put the insides on a different bagel. However the bagels as fresh. The donut had no depth. Couldn't tell between the frosting and donut. They meshed together and nothing surprising or great from the donut. I would try another sandwich but on a different bread. But I would use cash. The place was cute and quaint but wasn't for someone like me. Probably won't finish the sandwich. The donut went into the trash. Yeah this was a mistake I was better off going to McDonalds or Wawa. Glad to support small businesses but to overcharge me was wrong. read more

I absolutely love coming to Dosie Dough on the weekends and I love all their bakery items and coffee, however this past weekend I will have to say I was a bit disappointed with the customer service. I was checking out my bakery items and my boyfriend behind me also had two items. The woman at the cash register rung mine up and then her and the other two woman got caught up in conversation about something pretty inappropriate to talk about in front of customers. So my boyfriend was just standing there for 5 minutes because the woman walked away from the register and continued talking away with the other two. I finally got my coffee that one of the other workers was making and she was about to walk away too without ringing my boyfriend up even though he clearly had items on the counter ready to pay. Don't get me wrong - I love working and talking to my coworkers to pass times but there are appropriate times on when to do this and what to talk about in front of customers. read more

I've stopped in a few times the past few weeks and have grown to love Dosie Dough. They have a lot of good breakfast and lunch options, including breakfast sandwiches on your choice of bread (bagel, croissant, rolls), some great prepare sandwiches and salads, and of course tons of treats that could tempt anyone. Coffee is also really delicious with plenty of flavor shot options. My only downside is that my breakfast orders have been wrong, but honestly I still come back because I love it. read more

Overall, I enjoyed my bagel sandwich and blueberry coffee. However, the place is extremely overwhelming for a first time customer. There is no direction as to where to order a sandwich or latte or donut. Maybe the space is just too small but I really think it could be organized much better. This cafe was highly recommended but unfortunately we did not have a great experience with a particular customer as well as got stuck with a first day cashier. We spent a little extra time trying to get our orders correct and accounted for. All is well as we had a delicious breakfast snack after the event and enjoyed a few hot teas. We did not stay very long after an unnecessary comment by a customer but overall it was nice. This isn't a real bakery. They have a bunch of baked goods there which they sell, but they don't bake them there- hence it is not a bakery. Someone else makes their cakes and baked goods. The breads are all from Le Bus, which is great, but they almost always taste stale, even when they are supposed to be fresh. And from what I've heard, most of what they have is just thawed out and put in the case. If you are used to Jersey or Philly area bakeries where they actually bake things and have tons of crumb cake, elephant ears, doughnuts etc, then this place will be disappointing. It isn't awful, but just not an authentic bakery. read more

Great local deli/bakery. I run in here for coffee and a quick lunch maybe twice a week. They have great selection of natural baked goods and sandwiches. Their quinoa salad is amazing and their chicken salads are great. They are know for their bagels but o have yet to try one. Overall o would recommend anyone to spot in and try this place. When I boycotted Cafe Harmony, I started coming here, especially when I saw that one of their workers (Cafe H.)was now here at DD. My favorite food items are the chocolate long john, and this one bagel-cranberry/walnut, I think. It's only there certain days. But their bagels are the way I like them, soft inside and crusty out. Nothing special about the coffee, they have a coffee card, so they do stress NO REFILLS, which kind of sucks. And, all of their baked goods aren't baked on premisiss, spell check, lol... they have a house paper -yes! And there are some coffees, and dY old items for sale, as well as many other items. My knock here, is that the service is prompt, but just cordial, not overly friendly. It's just not a very cozy spot, but clean ad they open nice and early. It struck me as being kind of "clicky". The staff treat regulars differently than non-regulars. read more

Amazing bagels and sub par coffee. I always go here when I come back to the area to visit family and I look forward to getting a bagel with lox and the works. While the prices for bagels and prepared foods are more than I would like to pay, the food itself is great. The coffee is meh, I could make better coffee in my kitchen, but you're paying for convenience. They do have non dairy creamer on the coffee bar which is a plus. I've been going to this spot for several years. They always have plenty of fresh Green Mountain Beanery Coffee. Yum and several bites to choose from. My daughter always gets an everything bagel, toasted, with cream cheese. They have artisan breads galore and a bounty of pastries. I always admire the beautiful simple cakes in the case. There are little gifties as well as Wilber Chocolates (hint: better than Hershey) for sale. If you are grabbing a quick cup of joe and realized that you need something for lunch later, they have a case of healthy wraps, sandwiches, salads, and soups.
