I'm not an expert at photo studios, having only been to a few "instagram-friendly" photo rooms in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, which don't amount to more than themed sets. My experience at the Jesus Wall studio was different in that this was the first time I went with a professional celebrity photographer, who actually highly recommended it. The great thing about this place was that in addition to themed walls, couches, curtains, and white space, it also came with professional equipment such as key lights, props, and even a wind machine I got to use to flow my daughter's hair for portraits. It was equipped with everything that a professional photographer needs. There was even a makeup mirrored table to prep for shoots, which apparently was key for my daughter. The place is located in an interesting industrial-looking lot near downtown LA, and while there are a lot of parking spaces, they were quite full. However, just a few minutes of waiting yielded open spaces, as apparently there is a lot of come-and-go traffic. I enjoyed my experience here, and the proof is in the phenomenal photographs I got back. read more

Did my second big photo shoot at the Jesus Wall yesterday. I love this place. Like I said, this was my second time booking this studio space and it won't be my last. The decor is great, there is so much variety. Also, the furniture that Kevin has in this place is awesome. And the Jesus wall itself is unreal. It's a must have for any type of alternative photo shoot. I have to say that I was initially surprised by the hourly rate... Because it's so reasonable! Love this studio, I'm from the Inland Empire so it is a bit of a trek. This is a creative place, lots of room, the owner is always helpful. The trip up the elevator looks a little scary so I always escort my models from the parking lot to make them feel better. As soon as you are inside your like wow! Place is huge, he will help you set up and get started and be there if you need anything at all. Large backdrop area for photography sessions and there are several other unique areas around the studio to complete creative looks. If you decide to book this studio you'll definitely find what you're looking for. Professional atmosphere. We shot here at this location all day and loved it. The studio have anything you ask for. Hanger racks, hangers, changing area, vanity mirrors, crafty area, seating, plenty of lighting and equipment, electrical plugging and outlets, central air-conditioning and ventilation. I did my first big shoot here at the Jesus Wall yesterday. The student is larger than I expected and the options that this facility provides is definitely worth the money. The owner Kevin was very helpful with explaining how to use certain equipment that I was not familiar with. There is plenty of parking and there is a cafe nearby if you get hungry. I highly recommend this studio because: 1. It is not overpriced like other places 2. There are many props and backgrounds that will provide you with a lot of different looks. 3. We had a great experience at the studio! So many amazing backdrops! We did a shoot for our dark humor / funny engagement photo series and we're so glad we came here. There is a clawfoot tub (which we used - ask in advance if you want water in it), a pretty wall of hanging string lights, different colored curtains, and other awesome furniture/backdrops. I shot at the jesus wall yesterday and it was perfect. Kevin supplied me with everything I needed, used his strobes and made sure it was all set up for me. One of my favorite studios for sure, lots of different backdrop options. I only used the cove wall this shoot but I'll definitely be back to utilize the awesome jesus wall and claw foot tub. Would recommend. Update: I shot here again yesterday and it was even better than I remembered. This studio is so versatile, clean and fresh cove wall, so many lighting and background and prop options I found myself running out of time. The highlight for me this shoot was the bathtub!! Kevin was lovely and for a reasonable fee he helped me fill and shoot in his incredible claw foot tub. I've been wanting to do a water shoot for so long and it turned out exactly as I wanted it to. Highly Recommend Kevin Break and "The Jesus Wall" I needed to use the white seamless and the studio lights and Kevin was really kind and very helpful with everything. My fancy "crew" felt comfortable in the space, and lunch from Barbara's next door was fast and yum. The shoot went great and the clients were SUPER happy. I had looked at another studio in Hollywood area with a white seamless and it was crazy expensive...Fine for Annie Leibovitz, but this is the place if you are on a budget. My husband booked a shoot here last Sunday, and it was fantastic. First of all, there were almost too many options for the shoot. Because of that, we know that we can go back many more times, and still have plenty of options. Kevin was the ultimate professional, and made sure that we had everything that we needed. We loved the flexibility of being able to move whatever we needed and move between any and all backdrops and areas. They do have a make up area, and bathroom for changing, which is a plus. Okay. In a pinch, The Jesus Wall Studio is not a bad place to have a photoshoot. They have lights, backdrops, furniture, props, chairs, stools, makeup corner and more. However the owner is a little bit strange. The prices are competitive with other photographic studios. I brought my own team of photographers, hair people, stylists, artistic director and assistants. Would I hire this studio again? Probably. But only as a back up plan. read more

Being a photographer who has used many studios, I was impressed from the first moment we spoke. I was a new comer to this studio up until yesterday when my shoot took place. I was very impressed with the place and loved the vibe and atmosphere. It's located in a very private building next to a convenient and quaint cafe. We shot in peace, had a lot of fun, and felt very comfortable. The parking is free, and the freeway is accessible. When I first saw the pictures on line I was already excited, but stepping foot on the set and seeing it with my own eyes, brought my happiness to a whole new level. If you think the photos on line are impressive, prepare yourself to see it in person. I was in awe! There are numerous backgrounds to work with, brilliant color scheme, and variety of furniture you could change around for set up. The owner lets you move whatever you need to fit the mood and tone for your pictures. My favorite was all the many wonderful props. I brought multiple outfits for the various backgrounds. The owner, Kevin, left my team and I to work on my shoot, and stepped in to help when we needed him. Sometimes, when my photographer seemed stomped on an angle or lighting he suggested things from his professional experience and it made the shot even better. You get a great look of his own work hung around the walls near the entrance and the make up area. I even wish he did a shoot for me himself. Seeing his work gave a personal vibe to the place, you can tell he puts time, effort, and thought to the place. OMG - this place is fabulous, really I want to live there. I got such a great VIBE when I first walked in and it just continued until I was gone. I'm ready to go back again. I took my kids to shoot with a photographer [Reinaldo Garrastazu Photography reinaldogphoto@gmail.com] who actually suggested we meet there - I'm glad he did. First time meeting photographer so speaks volume for the kind of place he chose. I was extremely pleased with the service of both gentlemen. I will be recommending both of them from now on. The studio is full of life, options, light, props, backdrops, prepping stations, etc., etc., etc. The guy who runs the place is incredibly accommodating, super sweet and just an all around cool person. He was great with my kids - oh, did I mention that it is kid friendly too? GREAT GREAT Place and usually my Yelps are not good. Go figure This is a nice spot, pass it on! Once you go you will get it. Fabulous experience. Shot a music video with a client and this location really impressed. The selection of lights, grip gear and backdrop possibilities made it easy to work. Our overall budget was reduced due to the gear he had available. We are a self taught small crew and there are always things we are learning and we had a positive experience with Kevin advising how some things worked. Things to improve? Parking can be a bit tricky, esp for loading in and out but if you work with Kevin it's all good. read more

did a shoot in here earlier this month, I loved the decorations and background options that had provided in the studio, they were beautiful, inspiring and truly one of a kind. I booked a session for 1.5 hour and at the end it was extended to 3 hours, I loved the flexibility of it and it was really affordable. the only thing is that the owner seemed to look unfriendly and I was kinda scared to talk to him (unlike the experience of other reviewers), perhaps he was just having a bad day (??) but all in all, I'll still recommend other photographers to rent this studio. read more

I've worked in many studios being a photographer, and very rarely do you find a location, that has multiple shooting areas, backdrops, gear etc. On top of that Kevin the owner was super helpful, and a very sweet guy! He got everything taken care of. One thing that stood out, is he was very good at explaining making sure everything that could have a question or will, was already answered. Very good business. This place was great! My sisters and I rented the studio to take a family photo for my mother and some graduation pictures. Kevin, the manager was great. I brought my own camera but for some reason the pictures were coming out over-exposed, so he offered for us to use his camera. The studio is spacious and the backgrounds are great. The only downside was parking. It was very crowded and I had to park down the street. read more
