I recently had the pleasure of working with this amazing boudoir photographer and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life! From the moment I arrived, I felt comfortable and at ease. The photographer was so professional and made me feel beautiful and confident. The photos turned out amazing and I am so happy with the results. She was also very accommodating with my schedule and was able to turn around the photos quickly. The price was also very reasonable and I was very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend this boudoir photographer to anyone looking for a unique and empowering experience. This is the last review you have to read in order to book Cristen...she's everything everyone has written. (Book your photo shoot now)! I have to admit I had my doubts (despite all the stellar reviews). Boudoir photography is mainstream, but it still was something I had never tried, and I was nervous about the entire process. I wish I had done this sooner! She does amazing, gorgeous work. She's affordable. She's friendly. Her studio is warm and cozy, plus she has an adorable dog! (I LOVE dogs). I used a Groupon (like many reviewers here). I want to warn you that she doesn't book weekends. Thankfully, I was able to do mine over a Monday Holiday. She's super easy to communicate with - over text and e-mail. Her home studio has plentiful, easy, free street parking. She does hair first, and then makeup, and then takes the photos downstairs in her bedroom and upstairs, in various areas (where the windows and light are just lovely). She does offer more photos and packages right then and there (over the 10 that come with the Groupon). Another warning, you may feel a little overwhelmed because you have to decide at that moment. So, just be prepared. I didn't have the packages in my budget and respectfully declined. Regardless, the photos I received were simply wonderful. Heads up - I received my digital photos about 2 1/2 weeks after our shoot. Well, well worth the wait. These photos are a treasure and such a gift to me. And, such a great experience with Cristen. Wonderful experience with my recent photo shoot with Cristen. Recently I was a little depressed about aging and getting older, and I wanted to preserve my youth in the form of a boudoir shoot. Looks fade, but photos are forever especially when they are Digital. I found Kristen via Groupon and saw all of her raving yelp reviews and decided to use her for this very special gift to myself. I have done or do our photo shoot in the past, so I kind a new what to expect. However this time I decided to do full nude as a way for self expression, and feminine empowerment. Definitely a little scary and so I really need is someone who would make me feel very comfortable at the same time take photographs that makes me look good. I've been wanting to update my review from years ago, but keep forgetting to, so I apologize for the extreme delay to Cristen. She did end up following up with me via email apologizing for the delay on the photos and refunded me for the additional package that I really didn't want to purchase, but felt pressured to get for the sake of wanting any decent photos from this shoot. She provided me with finished edited photos (part of the Groupon deal) and also offered to provide a do-over for a second shoot, so I truly appreciate her willingness to make things right. I think I should've spoken up from the start about not receiving her introductory email which was supposed to list all the added package options so I wouldn't have been thrown off guard at the end of the shoot to make a decision on the spot. As a woman who had just given birth a few months prior to doing the boudoir shoot for the first time, it would've been nice to feel that extra sense of comfort and assurance that you are beautiful and you don't have to pay extra to see beautiful sexy pictures of yourself. read more

Cristen is the most amazing, feel sexy photographer ever!!!! I had asked her a month ago if she could help me with photos for my future hubby to give to him on our wedding day. The experience with Cristen was amazing! She is so sweet and she instantly becomes a friend within the hour and a half you have with her. She made me look bomb!!! My hair and makeup was simple yet beautiful. Her area of shooting is so perfect for all shots that she sets up for you. Cristen also poses and styles you for all shots and you will feel sexy in every pose!! Update: I have just received my pictures and OMG!!!!!!!! They are absolutely breaktaking!!! To boost my confidence I took a leap of faith and I couldn't be more grateful. Cristen is the MOST AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER EVER! You can't go wrong. I bought a special deal years ago, and have her take my photos every year since. She makes you feel incredibly comfortable, has the greatest eye for angles, poses, and the photos are truly spectacular. I felt beautiful, and looked even better. My friends were so impressed with the quality of the photos, they go now too. She is great at hair and makeup too. Trust me, book the shoot! You will not be disappointed. You don't have to have a "perfect body" either! I have some meat on my bones and she made me look like a moviestar. Super sexy and classy! I will never go anywhere else. In fact I did try another studio once and they weren't half as good and they charged me triple! Her prices are wonderful too! Your significant other will love, love, love the pics! Wow wow wow where do I even begin?! Let me just start off by saying I've never done any photography like this before and I left feeling like Beyonce! Cristen is absolutely incredible to work with. I wanted to do something special for my fiancé as a wedding gift and what better way to show your man what he's committing his life to than a sexy photo album?! Communication with Cristen was a breeze from the absolute start. Her prices are explained clearly and are more than fair. I scheduled a few months in advance with her so booking was easy (it pays to be a planner y'all). The day of the shoot she did my hair and makeup which turned out fabulous and while prepping, we chatted like old college buddies lol Seriously she has such a warmth and comfort about her that I almost forgot I was nearly naked the whole time! I received all of my edited and raw photos as well as the personalized photo album in about 4 weeks and they turned out better than I could have ever imagined! CG Studio. I've been shooting with CG Studio for a couple of years now and I just love her work she does makeup and hair. She makes everything easy to do as far as posing and with your outfits what goes together her quality work is amazing. I just love every photo she has taken of me over the last 2 years. The experience is easy and enjoyable from your makeup to your hair to your outfits to the location We have a lot of fun just laughing when I can't get the pose down. It's amazing how many poses you can get your body into when you have someone directing you the way it should be done. Cristen is simply amazing!!! I had recently gotten my boudoir photos done with her, and just to let you know, I've never done this before in my life. So going into this I was really nervous. I found her through Groupon which had amazing reviews. I called and made my apt. Which was super easy and she seemed really sweet over the phone. Once I arrived she welcomed me into her studio with open arms and was so sweet and humble. She did my hair and makeup and while she was doing all that we got to know each other a little bit more and she made me feel so at ease. I brought my own lingerie and she picked out the best 3 that would look good on me. Throughout the shoot she made me feel sexy and confident, something I really haven't felt before in front of the camera. After the shoot was done she went over the packages she has which is more than what Groupon offers you but at such an amazing price!!!! Her packages are such a great deal compared to other boudoir photographers!!! She told me what the process was and how long it would take to get my photos. WOW!! Where do I start?! Cristen was beyond AMAZING! I did my maternity photoshoot with her and she made the entire shoot feel so easy and fun! She made me feel confident and comfortable that my husband was extremely impressed with my poses but it was because of her and her great tips! She has the PERFECT setup and lighting at her studio with beautiful yet simple props/decor. She made the entire environment comfortable, from keeping the studio cool and even offering us drinks. I had a sparkling water and my husband had a couple beers, which made him feel even more comfortable with his poses. LOL After the studio, we went to a canyon to get some outdoor shots. I was once again very impressed with her creative eye and knowing the best spots for photo backgrounds and lighting. Cristen is a AMAZING photographer. The finished product will make you want to go back for another session. This I promise. She is a super cool girl and is very accommodating and willing to work with you to make you comfortable. She's experienced and will help guide your photo session to maximize your best poses and looks ever. What's great is that she will also do your hair and makeup. That's a plus cause as the photographer she instinctively knows what will work with her camera. She is also a very good communicator which definitely helps in planning the shoot and making it all happen. Sadly, I had a photoshoot with Cristen but unfortunately the photos at that particular shoot got messed up and unsalvageable. (not gonna go into details). She called me and offered another shoot ASAP and apologized and kept her word on making the next shoot even better! I would not go anywhere else moving forward for a boudoir photoshoot. She makes you comfortable, she's a great communicator, she's accommodating, she's got the triple threat (hair-makeup-photography), and her studio is clean and gorgeous. Get ready to feel at home and meet a really cool chick! She will make you feel like you're working with a friend, not just a photographer. I had my first boudoir photo shoot with Cristen yesterday and it was AMAZING! It doesn't matter your shape or body type. Cristen will make you feel like the sexiest woman on the planet When you first arrive, she asks to see your clothes/lingerie you brought for the photo shoot. She asks you which is your favorite as that's what's most important. It's all about how you feel. I brought a few bra/panty/garter sets, teddy's and thigh high's and 4 inch sexy heels. She does your hair and makeup and then starts taking pictures. The poses she asks you to do are easy and very figure flattering. I bought a Living Social voucher for $150 but found out I could have done it directly through her at the same price. That price includes 10 portraits. I paid an extra $100 to get 40 pics. She'll also put them in a boudoir book for another $100. I highly recommend doing a boudoir photo shoot with Cristen if you want to feel beautiful and sexy in your own skin. The only thing I'll do differently next time, will be to make my eye makeup a little darker. read more

I got the Groupon for a 60-min session with hair & makeup for an amazing price, which was almost too good to be true but Cristen's gallery and rave reviews gave me confidence it would be a positive experience, and it definitely was. I was so nervous about getting boudoir photos, I imagined how awkward it would be to disrobe and pose in front of a total stranger, having no idea how to move or where to stand. Cristen instantly dispelled any notion of awkwardness as soon as I walked in the door. She has that rare combination of being warm and friendly, able to put you at your ease right away, but is also absolutely a professional. She knew exactly how to direct me into the poses and had a fantastic attitude during our shoot so that I felt completely comfortable to just let go and enjoy it. The studio offers several different settings to choose from, and the lighting during our early afternoon shoot was perfect. I also appreciated that she wasn't pushy with super expensive photo packages at the end, and was flexible to work within my budget to provide a final product that is simply stunning. WOW! Cristen is AMAZING!! Boudoir photoshoot was one of my bucket "to-do" list especially I wanted to celebrate my beauty and youth while I'm young. And there I found the BEST boudoir photographer in Los Angeles! How did I get so lucky to find her for my first intimate photoshoot!! I also wanted to do this for my boyfriend and our Anniversary, and I'm so glad I did! I found Cristen on LivingSocial and from the start to end, she is very attentive and knows exactly what women want. She is so gifted in making a woman look so beautiful inside/out! I just had my shoot with Cristen, and my experience was spectacular from start to finish. I treat myself to a glam/boudoir shoot as a birthday present to myself (highly recommend) every year from a different photographer, and I used to coordinate professional shoots, and Cristen is among the absolute best people I have worked with. Her hair and make up skills are outstanding, and as others have mentioned she works quickly (I've sat in makeup for over an hour before). My lashes stayed on perfectly (always an issue with me usually). She made me feel extremely comfortable showing me poses, and she was very open to my concepts and executing what I wanted as I didn't just want a standard boudoir shoot. Her space is lovely and offers a variety of set ups, including some great out door shots. I will definitely be back! read more

Where do I start ? Had the most amazing experience and want everyone to go to Cristen! Did this as a Wedding gift for my husband , gave it to him first day on our honeymoon, he immediately wanted to call Cristen and thank her lol . I told my husband I was doing a make up trial which worked out perfectly since the session included makeup and hair , she did a great job !! then came the the outfits, I had brought way too many but she was soo sweet and picked her favorites. I felt very comfortable during the entire shoot and it showed it the photos. When I got the pictures, I couldn't believe it was me. They came out amazing! I CANNOT recommend Christen more. I knew I wanted to do a little surprise present for my hubby to be, but I had never done a shoot of this sort and was feeling like I would be an awkward person doing so. I walked in and immediately felt so warm and welcome by her and her ADORABLE doggie. I felt so at ease at her place and she truly just made the whole experience THE BEST. It was just as if I was taking some photos with my best girlfriends. She was beyond great in just telling me how to pose, demonstrating (loved) and giving me the positive vibes and uplifting commentary to make me feel sexy, beautiful and just myself. Really liked Cristin and her work. She did my make up and hair. While is doing it, you are having a chat like as if you are old friends. Naturally you feel at ease for the photoshoot itself. She does a great make up, not over the top, perfect look. For the photoshoot, she coaches for the best poses, best lighting poses etc. I had 3 outfit changes, but you can do more, if you like. I got all my pics a few days later and picked my fav for the photoshop. They looked great! Would definitely recommend. Treat yourself and feel great :) read more

From the moment that i made the appointment after purchasing the deal on Living Social, i felt very comfortable with Miss Cristen. She sounded very pleasant on the phone, and eager to work with me. I booked my shoot about 3 months out because i wanted to loose a few more lbs since this was the first time that i ever did something like this. I really didn't know what to expect but after i received her email, prior to the shoot, i was confident that i had picked out outfits that i felt comfortable with. So when i met Miss Cristen she was so nice and joyful, she really made me feel comfortable as soon as i met her at the gate. Once inside i showed her my outfits i brought, and she selected which ones to start off with. So she did my make up really pretty, it made me feel like a diva getting ready to go on stage. During the shoot Cristen is very professional and helpful when it comes to posing, and smiling. She really has an eye for capturing sexy and seductive photos. At first i didn't know if i was posing right, but she does a great job at directing and getting the very best out of your shoot. At the end she offered her packages and i opted for the most expensive one since this was a gift for my husband. So i paid her with my credit card and she said i could expect to receive everything within 2-3 weeks. Once i received everything i was blown away. My husband loved them so much that he booked another shoot with her because he said he wanted to make a calendar. Well i just finished my 2nd shoot in 6 months with Miss Cristen and i must say these came out even better than the 1st time. I honestly don't understand how, when we loved the first shoot pics just as much, but i mean Damn; They came out good. Cristen is really good at what she does. I had such a great experience with Cristen. I decided to do the shoot as a wedding present to my husband, and he absolutely loved it. She created a book for me with a whole bunch of images and it turned out perfect. Cristen was super easy to communicate with and was always willing to answer any questions I had. The day-of she talked to me like we were old friends while she was doing my hair and makeup which really made me feel comfortable. This helped a lot since the whole experience is very intimate. The whole shoot was just her and me so it almost just felt like we were friends just hanging out. She helped with all the poses and made me feel like a pro the whole time. I had an absolute blast with Cristen! I was so worried and nervous going into the appointment (I am 41 years old and by no means a model!). Cristen immediately put me at ease; she did a fantastic job on my make-up and hair taking the time to get to know me a little bit as she prepped me for my session. By the time the camera came out I was totally at ease with her. She showed me how to pose to accentuate my figure and 'hide' the flaws. The whole session was light and easy and the results were incredible. I really went into this for a couple of sexy shots for a birthday gift, but decided to upgrade my package and I am so glad I did. 10 stars!!! I cannot believe how amazing it was to meet and work with Cristen! From the moment I stepped foot into the door she made me feel so comfortable. Doing a sexy budoir photoshoot is not exactly in my resume of "mommy duties" haha! I'm only young for so long so why not capture what I have left on film? The place is beautiful, seriously. She give you space to change into your outfits. Helps you with choosing what outfits looks best for what setting, works with your ideas and help push the sexy bar. I couldn't believe doing a budoir photoshoot was like going to a yoga class mashed in with Pilates. I literally had so much fun flexing and stretching haha! Seriously didn't even feel a bit shy around her. Oh and did I mention she was never pushy on what extra stuff I should get. She even referred another business and even said to save some money you can try groupon. Geez!!! How much more down to earth and cool can she be?!!!! The other- plain and simply, high caliber of professionalism, authenticity, and warmth that I've had the pleasure to experience after hiring KLK to work their magic for my engagement and wedding photos at The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel, this past July. Firstly, my fiancé is not a fan of taking any kind of photos (downright hates the mere thought of it), but Paul changed that all for him during our short engagement and wedding photoshoot so that deserves an extra thank you, as I thought that was not possible. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera. After interviewing 5 different photographers, we knew from our first conversation that James was the one. He is incredibly friendly, easy going, and knowledgeable. We agreed to do an engagement session, 1 location for 90mins to see if we'd be comfortable working with James. It couldn't have gone better. Initially, we were a bit stiff, but James gave us tips on how to act naturally, suggested poses and hand positions that made us feel and look relaxed. The time flew by and we actually ended up going to a second location with a wardrobe change. Overall, it was about 2 hours. James did not mind at all. In fact, he probably could've gone longer if the sun hadn't set on us! Our photos were edited and received in less than 2 weeks! James was kind enough to print a large poster and sign that shipped to our house in just a few days. He price matched any package/prints from other photographers. Having gone through our engagement session seamlessly, we hired James to shoot our wedding as well. He and an assistant were on site for 10 hours, tending to our every need and keeping us on our timeline. After our planned family/wedding party photos, we hardly even noticed them working as we proceeded with wedding events. After the wedding, we received many compliments on how great James was and several guests asked for his contact information. Within a couple of days, we received a preview of about 20 photos highlighting our big day. We were thrilled! Every important moment was captured so elegantly! The full magazine of photos was available for download in about 1 month. James then worked with us to print a high quality photo book for our coffee table. You can't go wrong with James--his high quality work and work ethic speak for themselves. The process was super simple. You can make a reservation, but we just walked in without any issues. We did the white background setup for 15 minutes, which was perfect and definitely a must if you're taking photos with little kids. There were a few technical difficulties during our session, but the staff member was incredibly accommodating. He paused the timer and gave us those minutes back so we didn't lose any of our shoot time. The pricing is great too! The package includes 2 people and 3 printed 4x6 photos of your favorite shots. Additional people are only $5 each, but they didn't charge us for our toddler or newborn, which was such a nice surprise. One of the best parts is that you get access to download every single digital photo from your session, not just a select few. For some reason things just didn't align well with my baby's naps and feedings that day so it was hard to manage a tired baby but they managed to get real good photos of my baby and the family. My baby didn't really smile much yet but they were still able to get smiling pictures of her too. Very professional and works so hard to get the best pictures. I was truly grateful for this studio and loved my experience. Also the picture quality was amazing!! The backgrounds were cute and the clothes were so adorable too!! The price point is reasonable and I'd say cheaper than some others for a better quality. I think the turn around time to receive the photos were faster than we expected too. Truly appreciate working with this photographer. He really seems to love what he does and we are blessed with these amazing photos!!! Couple things to note/tips: 1. Go when your baby can smile. Yes after their neck strength gets way better too. My baby still can't really smile yet and she's 4 months old. I really wanted to push having 100 day photos when she was 3.5 months old so neck strength and expressions aren't expected. 1a. Also go when your baby is well fed, pooped, rested, good condition, etc. makes a world of difference. 2. They give you a looooot of photos to choose from. Be prepared to be pleasantly overwhelmed with photos. If you get decision fatigue then ask your spouse to help. Cause I loved getting the full gamut of photos. 3. They have a wardrobe but if you want your baby to wear something specific, bring it! Their wardrobe is pretty cute tho and fits with their backgrounds. 4. They have set backgrounds to choose from in their studio. The backgrounds are really cute but if you're looking for something specific, unique, tailored to you, the studio setting might not be for you. But tbh all 100 day, dohl, event photos basically look the same...so I would think it's odd to expect something different. I've seen tons of beach engagement pics. Tons of dohl pics with the same backgrounds and balloons. So why complain about a studio pic with similar styles and backgrounds or lack of variety? You're already the unique and different baby/family. So there's that. 5. Bring a toy or something that can get your baby's attention. I realized belatedly my baby likes to stare at herself in the mirror. She also likes her little fox doll. If your baby has a preference for a toy, perhaps being prepared like that will help with the experience! 6. Match your clothes with your family and partner beforehand. Clothes, accessories and shoes too so they look cohesive in the photos! Belatedly realized my husband's shoes didn't match any of our family's and my son's also seemed a little too bright. Oh well.
