I was confused about these jeans with a thick band at waist and asked if they were maternity jeans. I was told they weren't. They were originally $99 and half price $49.50. I kinda liked them but will save my money for miss me's or similar jeans. Most clothes were $99 each. I did buy a scarf for $18 which was on clearance. I have avoided shopping at Jared for years because I kept encountering just condescending, snooty…read moreemployees. I do have to take a couple pieces of jewelry in every six months, though, to keep the warranties valid. I skipped the last inspection due to Covid concerns, but decided it could be done safely this time around. I went to take off my wedding ring and promptly got it stuck mid way up my finger! We tried everything to get it off (YouTube really does have videos for everything, FYI) and finally we had to cut it off. It broke my heart! We then thought that the repair would cost more than the ring but I love my wedding ring, so we would find a way to pay for it. We showed up to Jared and the doors were locked so they could control the entryway. They're taking excellent precautions and everyone was wearing masks. There are disposable masks and hand sanitizer right inside the doors if you need them. The woman who greeted me was SO friendly! I felt like a chump for having this cut up ring, but she made me feel completely at ease. She helped me find a new size that would work and then - best news of all - she said it was 100% covered under the warranty! She asked if it would be OK for them to have a few extra days to repair it when I thought it would take weeks. We got a reminder call to pick it up and the woman who helped me today was also very friendly and chatty. My ring looked brand new. It's shiny and sparkly and I'm so happy to have it back! This experience has been a complete turn-around from a few years ago. I only wish I'd gotten the other woman's name so I could give her proper credit.

When we were shopping for wedding rings all we knew was that we wanted something other than the…read more"cookie cutter". We wanted a ring that had some meaning. At the same time, we had a limited budget. One of my friends told me about Britta who designs rings. I checked out her website and facebook and fell in love with the style. Lot so the comments on the rings she has designed on her facebook page mention family stones that are used. So, I asked my mom if there was any rings from my grandmothers that I could use. There wasn't, but there was a ring full of small rubies from my great, great gramma's ring. So, with that we were off to meet with Britta. Britta has a studio space in the Northrup King building where she is available 1 or 2 times a month. Other than that, she works from her home space in Duluth. I had some vague ideas and Britta was great in coming up with much more specific ideas. She basically has some stones, or you can use your own, and then draws very detailed pics of her ideas. Then, you pick out the metal you will be using and then she can give you an estimate. I loved the first design she drew up but we went home and decided we couldn't afford it. So, I was really disappointed. I really liked the idea of supporting a local artist, but we had decided our budget was going to be small for this. So, I decided to contact her to just check if there are ways to make it less expensive. This was maybe what I was most impressed about with Britta. She had several ideas- she was not pushing us to do anything out of our budget and came up with a plan that we were very happy with. What we learned was that the metal is the most expensive part of making a ring. So, one of the things we did was to switch to palladium 500, instead of white gold. After doing some research of my own, I am very happy with the switch, but this is something I would have never known to consider before her suggesting it. I should also mention that Britta did our ring on a very short deadline- just over a month. So, right before our wedding, the ring arrived and I simply loved it. We got a new sapphire (from Britta) for the center and then used a ruby for each side from my great, great gramma's ring. The reason we did thought this would be meaningful is because our colors for the wedding were red white and blue. The ring looked perfect but I was off a bit in my sizing, so we met up with Britta again at the Uptown Art fair and sent it back with her to get re-sized. Check out Britta Lynn Design on Facebook.
