The opal middle and garnet pedals made for a delicate and unique ring that she fell in love with. She wore it a few times and then one of the garnets fell out. She gifted me this ring after my daughter was born because she didn't have the patience to get it fixed. Once I got it, it sat in my jewelry box. When Mom passed away on 6/9 of this year I felt it was time to fix this ring. I brought it into Muellers on 8/10 and met with Amy. We discussed resizing the ring and also finding the missing garnet. She assured me she could do it! I got multiple calls from Amy relating to her search and we decided to match the color of the garnet vs matching the color and cut. Amy then recommended fixing the prongs and strengthening the other prongs to avoid further loss of the garnets. I picked up my ring today (2 days after she called and said it was ready) To say I wasn't pleased would be an understatement. This ring is so beautiful and the quality of work beyond what I could have hoped for when I brought it in. Ben was the only one who found a way. He removed the original tension setting entirely to create a blank canvas, then molded and recreated a brand-new tension setting from scratch specifically designed for my new stone. He managed to do this while keeping the rest of my original ring exactly the same. The result is so seamless that it doesn't look like a modification; it looks like the ring was originally designed this way from day one. Because my ring is over 20 years old with numerous side diamonds, Ben performed a full inspection and caught several issues I hadn't noticed. He secured loose stones and corrected a faulty previous repair, fine-tuning the piece until it was objectively a brand-new ring. Ben was also a great partner in sourcing my diamond. I was very particular about the specific grading specs I wanted, which made it challenging to stay within my budget. He navigated the search and found the perfect stone. He looked at it and said that he can get it done within 20-30 minutes and shared the cost upfront which surprisingly was very reasonable compared to what I thought it would cost. And long behold, he sure did fix it within 30 minutes. He shared pics of the work performed also, again skilled and honest!
