Yesterday, we made a road trip and purchased over $350 of product on my daughters' credit card but were treated with indifference. We carried bottles to the bar counter and felt we were in the way. We tried to purchase t-shirts which were virtually out-of-stock. Overall, we felt that the sale did not matter. The place was so nice even in winter and you could really see how great it is in nicer weather. It's really cute inside and you can see the distillery through windows, they have a nice merch section, and a big wedding tent set up, with its own bar and a window for the food truck. I'll let you know that if it rains on your trip and you're in the open air car, you'll be getting wet and we did in both directions. Not butt wet, but your lap if uncovered will be pretty soaked. The hour long ride was nice and leisurely and although the narrator hyped up a waterfall, it didn't live up to it. He also gave some history and talked about an old hotel that used to be along the line before being burned down. There was an old oil line that now holds fiber optic lines, the rock "tunnel" and some other named curves along the way. The diesel locomotive pulled one direction and pushed the other the way back. On the open air cars, you sit sideways family style on comfortable wooden benches. The car needed some TLC if you looked hard enough but was fine. We did not walk through the standard or first class cars, the snack car, or the caboose. The bars across where the windows would have been were almost reminiscent of jail cells. In the short sections of the ride when it wasn't raining the fresh breeze was quite refreshing. This ride would have been awesome at the right time of the Fall during the changing of the leaves. I bet they raise the prices then. The train offers numerous different themed rides so the experience can a bit different each time if you want to ride more often. For our open air car today, $25 each. So, $100. First Class was $54 each which also got you a "free" drink and snack. I'm sure those seats were more comfortable than the wooden benches. Something fun to do while in Jim Thorpe for the experience.

They say it's similar to the Swiss Alps, I am not sure since I have never been there. It reminded me of traveling through the mountainous countryside in Japan. As for which train car, if the weather is good I recommend the open air ones without glass windows. The views are the best and you are not pounded with sunlight since there is a top and plenty of trees to protect you.

The skies were blue, surrounded by green as far as the eye can see, birds were chirping and the warm sun beaming. The campground is beautifully maintained, everyone is very respectful of other campers. The sites are far enough away from one another that it really feels like a camping trip. It's also close enough that I can walk over to the next site to visit a friend. All the sites come with a small cabin. It's very basic but it's sufficient if you chose not to tent camp or if you bring kids or dogs and prefer to stay inside. I woke up to bunnies running all over the campsite. What a view and what an experience! A friend camping near the water spotted a baby brown bear! If you're looking for a fun camping experience with friends, family, your partner or just by yourself I would highly recommend this place! The views are amazing, the locations is clean and well kept, there's firewood that can be purchased on site, it's a quick 90 minute drive if you're coming over from Philadelphia.

We stayed at the Creekside campsite and definitely want to return. We had an absolutely fantastic and serene time on their property. I was very excited to get to see a Black Bear up somewhat close, which also can be scary if you aren't expecting it, but the owners let you know and it seems fairly common there. At dark, we also saw three chirping otters floating down the river together... very adorable. It is way more wild than other campsites, so of course leave your food and cooler in your car. Definitely BE CAREFUL when using the suspension bridge as it slants a bit and can get wet! Firewood will be under a tarp next to some crates along the beginning of the main camp road.

Ideally, you hook up your phone to the car via USB/Bluetooth or of course you can fly blind and go where you want as long as you're back by the end of the rental period. With that said, we loaded up the State Park Ride and kid you not, the first stop out of the nine takes you nowhere. You come to a small stone road that is chained off with nothing there except a small admin. building for the state forestry service. After that brief hiccup, we mostly followed the rest and had a decent experience particularly at Big Pocono State Park and Promised Land State Park. At the end you do need to return the vehicle with a full tank and yes, they want you to only use premium. For a sense of scope, we did the eight-hour rental and drove I forget how many miles and it cost about $17 to refill the tank before we returned the car. Overall, this is a hell of a lot of fun. I mean sure there are a few quirks as in the automatic car we used downshifted fairly rough and when idling at times you can definitely pick up the exhaust fumes from the engine, but that stuff is very minor and there is really nothing to do here except have fun and explore.

This place is clean, my girls commented the bathrooms were super clean, the grounds were well manicured. A pool was offered, a mini front office/store, and bingo. You will be assigned a key card to re-enter the grounds, there is a gate at the front with only one road for incoming and outgoing. Owners were very nice. There are a few rules and might sound a little strict but any sensible camper won't have any issues. I can see where the Pocono Speedway could bring in the party people, again I had no issues. We stayed here as were doing Camelback adventures which was conveniently 10 minutes away. 15 min away is a Walmart, CVS. I would stay here again, and cost was reasonable. My site had full hookup.

Vic was our driver and he was AMAZING!!! From the second he picked us up he was friendly, inviting and assured us we would have the best day - which we did! Each winery we went to Vic set us up in a prime seating location and assisted us in getting our flights. While we drank our flights Vic would come over with water for us and checking to see if there was anything else we needed. He also was a gem and took tons of photos of us- so we could capture the fun moments of the day! We loved the wineries we stopped at and enjoyed that each place had its own unique vibe. We enjoyed being able to have a flexible schedule and stay longer at some spores than others. Our group was celebrating our friends bachelorette and it was a great tour to be able to hang out and drink tons of wine and not worry about transportation. My boyfriend suggested visiting here as he plays guitar and has known about Martin Guitar for years and the fact they're fairly close to us, right in PA. There is a free museum and then there is the paid factory tour. It's $5 a person and only open M-F. They only take 8 people in each time slot and each slot is about an hour long. You get headsets (with sanitary coverings) and are shown around the factory floor while the staff builds guitars. It was such a cool experience and for the low cost of $5 - totally worth it. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and they really took us through every step. It was so nice to see workers doing everything in real time as well. The factory is fairly loud so I did need to turn the volume up on my headset fairly high. It's probably not the best idea for children but there were multiple children there and they do have special headsets for them. If you're looking to come and visit you do have to purchase tickets ahead of time and I would recommend purchasing them over a week in advance as when we went to book them the week of there were already many slots filled. The museum which is free to view was also so cool and took you through the entire history of the company and it's standing in the music culture from its beginnings in the 1800s until present day. There were so many beautiful guitars on display. Definitely a neat stop in Nazareth, PA.
