Overall a huge space with many different seating options. The flights were pre-poured which made ordering super easy and quick. The food trucks were tasty and fast as well. The variety of options was enjoyable as they had a coffee bar, baked goods, pizza, American and Mexican options. Another plus was they had free bottled water. I live next to many wineries and have not seen this at any others. Overall highly recommend! They even had live music and special glasses for Easter!

Ample parking, there is a short walk to the tasting room, where you can see the construction among the vineyard, as they expand their location. Despite the construction-there is a nice patio area, attached to a simple-yet pretty-tasting bar. We learned the pourers are wine consultants from Mendoza, Argentina, brought over by the winery owner to help develop a variety of wines. It really is a gem. I'm so happy the consultants were ok giving up their summers at home to develop quality wine in the middle of nowhere PA. $5 for 6 wines, we selected from 7 whites, 3 sweets, 7 reds. We shared: Albarino: 'tart' needed to be chilled more Cab Franc: pepper on the finish, lighter on the in-take Chambourcin: sweeter than normal Merlot: bold for a merlot Petit Verdot: too light Flagship Red: pepper from the Cab Franc, bold from the Merlot, a twist probably from the Malbec, but light tannin finish from the Petit Verdot From talking through the wines, we learned the Chardonnay was the favorite of our pourer, so he let us add it on-glad we did, we went home with a bottle: smooth, buttery, with a slight oak twinge. Great place to sit out and have a quality glass of wine, though probably better to just take home the bottle due to the construction views, but definitely worth supporting the winery either way! The owner really owes it to his consulting staff, they make the winery the wonderful experience that it is.

The wines are not your average PA wines, however they all were unique and very kind to the pallet. If you love wine, this place is a must stop. The wine maker has a very high level of experience from Mendoza, Argentina. He (nacho) is well versed in wine and has quite a resume. Make sure to check it out! Most PA vineyards and "winery's" are a lot like the proliferation of micro breweries - all the same and all not so great. Certainly there are exceptions. Cellar beast is taking a different approach - bringing west coast grapes to PA and making some spectacular wine. We did the Barrel Surf with the head winemaker, Matt Check. It was great. Matt explained everything about the tasting process for the day and his approach to wine making. Super fun for any foodie and wine lover.

It is located on top of a mountain and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. I came during the winter and it still looks stunning. I can only imagine how it would be in the summertime. I've been to Napa valley and I would say this rivals the beauty of some of the wineries in Napa. Save your flight money and just come to Pennsylvania to this winery. My wife and I had a tasting and some wines. I liked better than others but that's usually how it is at every winery. I really enjoyed two out of the five wines that I tasted so I bought a bottle of the wine that I loved and I ordered a glass of the wine that I liked. The woman who poured my wine was very knowledgeable and seemed to be really into the wine. She also mentioned that she was a cousin to the owner so it really gave me family vibes in this establishment. They also had a separate cheese company putting together cheese plates. So we definitely ordered that as well. This winery has a couple of goods for sale, potatoes, t-shirts, and tchotchkes. I definitely bought a bag of potatoes that is grown on the farm and they were delicious. Inside the winery there was a very cool vibe with a lot of people having tastings. Everybody was in good spirits. Did I mention that the views are spectacular while you're drinking. We couldn't drink outside because it was so cold but I would definitely love to come during the nicer months weather wise. I have zero complaints with this winery and I cannot wait to come back.

I really give 5 stars because of the service, the chill and open space/atmosphere. We tried a flight of wine and a few cocktails. Some of the wines I didn't really care for but some were great. The spiced apple wine hands down was the winner. We took home 2 bottles of it. The prices were very reasonable, I think we paid $15 for a bottle. We came back after walking around and trying a few other places. We will absolutely back if/when we come back to Jim Thorpe!

The lady who served us was so easy going, it is worth mentioning again how great the staff is. Their tasting bar area can get packed; so we found an opening and she served us right away and said we could go ahead an find an empty table, that she trusted we would come back to settle our bill when we were ready to leave. We were pleasantly surprised and purchased a bottle of red not only because we enjoyed it, but because we wanted to repay the kindness and trust extended. Thanks for a great experience!
