Dr. Jay is great. Does a great job adjusting me but also takes a direct interest in my overall health and has made some great suggestions to help some other issues I have experienced. While the chiropractors do a fantastic job, their receptionist or what they call a lead wellness coordinator does not. This take my shit attitude made me cancel my membership and walk out in distress yesterday. Very rude, impolite and disrespectful customer service. Great idea for chiropractic care and reasonable. I was going to Dr Costa and one day he was out so I tried Dr Mann's, wow what a difference. Dr Mann's adjusted me and took extra time to better understand my ailments and tried to massage the nerve. I suggest trying different Dr's and find one that works for you. After an adjustment today by Dr. Manns, I walked to my car and thought, "I feel so much better." This inspired me to write the Yelp review in hopes that others will go to The Joint for help as well. I have degenerative discs in my upper cervical spine, and my neurosurgeon tells me that the longer I can wait for surgery, the better off I will be. A weekly or bi-monthly adjustment helps me so much, and Dr. Manns is The Best! I love the convenience of dropping in without an appointment; the doctors' schedules are posted in an image on their Facebook account if you want to go to a particular doctor. My second visit to The Joint in Acworth was on March 6th it was a little warn inside so I was perspiring a little and the thin piece of paper on the face rest broke off leaving my face resting on the face rest unprotected. A day or two later I noticed a blemish on my face, I was treating it with otc medications as it kept getting worse and looking more like a blister or burn on Friday the 10th I went to a Doctor to learn it was Impetigo which is a highly contagious skin infection. I am currently unemployed, and have no children, Impetigo is common with children, and I had a very bad back so I wasn't going anywhere that wasn't necessary. I went to The Joint to tell my Doctor about it and she immediately started telling me how I didn't get it from her table, how I could have gotten it at the grocery store, or if my immune system was compromised I could just get it like it is floating through the air. A very sick lady wearing a surgical mask came into the Joint on the day of my first visit, after she left the receptionist sprayed Lysol on the door handle on the inside but not the outside door handle or the chair the lady sat in and I am pretty sure not the face rest on the doctors table. People must love The Joint they are very busy, person after person about every five minutes putting their face on that face rest only protected by a thin piece of tissue paper. I have been to grocery stores thousands of times in my life and never caught any infectious diseases, I can't prove I caught impetigo from The Joint but it seems like the most likely place. read more

After years of chronic pain and migraines, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. After research, chiropractic care was recommended for moderate relief. I was will to try anything for any type of relief. So after reviewing The Joint's website and plan options, I signed up. I initially signed up at the Chastain Road location in Kennesaw. I spoke with the lead chiropractor, explained my condition with chronic pain and fibromyalgia and was adjusted. I did not feel as though it actually helped. I came back same adjustment even after I explained the last one did nothing. After several more visits I was FAR from satisfied and contemplating cancellation. I was out shopping and walked into another location on Cobb Parkway in Acworth. I was going to try one more time. I spoke with the chiropractor there Dr. Lance, I explained that I have chronic pain due to fibromyalgia. He took the time needed and actually worked on the areas of concern along with advising me on other areas so I would feel better overall. I felt as though improving my health was his ONLY concern. I left satisfied and feeling some relief. But being the skeptic that I am , I said that was just to keep me, since I did express my disappointment with the other locations.Well it's been several months now and I see Dr. Lance weekly! He has continued his EXEMPLARY chiropractic care and I would recommend this location, along with his soft tissue massage which has helped me tremendously! I drive a school bus, and due to the constant up and down bouncing I have developed back problems that interfere with my day to day life. Being a 23-year-old plus size guy, its a little more difficult to adjust me. I had tried several chiropractors and had bad luck with ALL of them. I never walked out feeling better,and for some reason I almost felt worse. Plus who has 40.00 for a co-pay? Needless to say by the time it was finished I was a hunchback, could barley move, and was in constant pain. I had finally found a doctor who actually could adjust me, and who I came to love... However, they shut down which resulted in her moving to Texas to open her own office. I was terrified about having to start looking for another Chiropractor. I drive a school bus, so therefore I didn't have the funds to afford a 40.00 copay every week. Thankfully the doctor who moved to Texas, recommended The Joint of Acworth. I was hesitant at first, and terrified of going back to being in constant pain. However, I had avoided it long enough, and decided to give this place a try. When I walked in, I was met by the most caring and compassionate office staff, who helped me sign up for the monthly plan at 49.00 a month. This included 4 adjustments each month, that I could use at any time during that month. That was a better price then I had at my previous doctor! Then I went and met Doctor Lance... He took the time to talk to me, find out what I did, where my problem areas were, and talk to me about what he was going to do. He was so friendly, and I felt as though he actually CARED about me and what was going on. After the consultation, he had me lay down, and adjusted me.... When I stood up I felt like a gymnast ready to do whatever I needed. I didn't feel like if I bent over, I was gonna get stuck and stay there... The PAIN was gone, and for the first time in months, I felt normal! I cannot thank Dr. Lance enough for the care and concern he has taken with me over the past year. He is the BEST doctor there, and I have recommended him to all of my co-workers, friends, and even strangers. I found my doctor, and I will sit in a waiting room for however long it takes to see him. He takes time to get to know you, your issue, and his adjustments are spot-on. He might be a little uncanny to some people, but his methods work. I am living WALKING proof of that. Ive been going there for a year, and I still go weekly, just because my back problems come from my job. Dr. Lance has truly helped me, and because of him, I am no longer held back due to my back issues. I recommend him to you, and to any one reading this. If you do not like him, try another doctor there, but I promise you, this place can fix you right up! read more

This is the absolute worst chiropractic center I've ever seen. My husband was in a car accident and went in for treatment, the "doctor" didn't even look at him. He looked at the chart, never referred to my husband by name he didn't even take xrays. The "doctor" didn't even do a real adjustment with his hands, only the compression gun. The next business day my husband went for real medical treatment and discovered that the extent of the accidents impact was quite severe and required 10 weeks of rehab. read more

I've been going to the Acworth location for over a year and have seen several of the doctors. My favorite is Dr. Evelyn. She is wonderful! The only downfall for me is sometimes there is a wait. I go after work on Monday nights and I just want to get in and out quickly. Oh, and Tamara who works at the front desk is wonderful too :) And they always have candy! read more

If I could give this place no stars I would! My 79 yr old mother went here to see if she could get some relief from her back pain. They actually worked on her without an X-ray!! Who does that especially to a 79 yr old frail woman? That is just out right dangerous. Needless to say she got zero relief and unfortunately was in worse pain after. Then I find out that she somehow was convinced to pay for a "membership" that would require a 30 day notice to cancel. Now if that doesn't scream scam I don't know what does. I called to find out how to get her out of this and the girl that answered the phone was rude and very distracted requiring her to have to call me back. When she did call back she explained the details of the "membership." I explained my dissatisfaction with this situation. Then I was told that we would have to come in to fill out paperwork for cancellation. Just another bit of ridiculousness in my opinion. I went that afternoon to do this paperwork and I will say she waived the 30 day deal and cancelled it. She didn't offer me a copy of what I signed so I thought about it after I'd left and went back to get a copy. She seemed put out by me asking for it. While I was waiting I questioned her on what my mother had paid for this "membership" which wasn't being refunded and after she told me I let her know that I would make certain that I would let everyone I know about this racket and I left. After I got out in the parking lot this lady came out the door yelling "what did you just say?" I was a bit shocked that she'd come out like that and I turned around to repeat what I said and she then yelled "I'm not yelling across the parking lot," ummm...ok she was the one that came out the door yelling to begin with. My shock was unexplainable. This place has no business touching anyone without making certain your healthy enough to be adjusted and whatever else they do. I also can't believe anyone would fall for this crazy "membership" they somehow convince people to do. Just awful!!!!! read more
