I hurt my back yesterday moving a recliner (lame I know.) I could barely get out of bed this morning so I knew it was bad. My wife looked up local chiropractors and The Joint came up so we went. My wife's father is a Chiropractor in CA (where we used to live) so I'm comparing The Joint to him. The Joint was very clean and the staff was very professional - minus the lip piercing from the receptionist but hey, that's the style now days. I was in and out within 15 minutes and it only cost me $19. Dr Mike was very nice and courteous. My only concern was when he cracked my body he didn't have me release air, to keep me less tense.. I really liked how easy it is to set up an appointment here. The environment was relaxing and everyone was very friendly. Dr. Richards did a great job adjusting me and giving me advice for lifestyle habits. I canceled my membership a week before the date I need too and they still charged me. And it's going to take two weeks for me to get MY money back??? Wonderful experience! I was skeptical about chiropractors. Only a few minutes with the receptionist Jaclyn and I felt at ease. She answered all my questions and was very personable which in turn eased my mind before I saw the Dr. After the quick sign up process I was greeted by Dr. Morton. He took the time to get to know me and about my pain issues. After an adjustment and a treatment plan I was out the door. I'm looking forward to going back to fallow through with the treatment plan. I have been going to The Joint, off and on, as I can afford it or have need, for over a year. When I was 15, my grandmother took me to her chiropractor and I was hooked. Over the years, I have seen 49 different chiropractors. Some were true miracle workers, having me walking out of the office after using crutches to get in. Others were so bad that I could see why some folks steer clear of "bone crackers." This location of The Joint is the only one I've visited and I've been very happy with most of the chiropractors. A couple have been those "true miracle workers" and others have been above average. I know that every body is different and responds to adjustments in their own way; one chiro may be horrible for me and great for you. I particularly love Dr. Walter as he has helped me through a pretty painful incident with my back the past couple of weeks, customizing my care perfectly. read more

I went to the joint a while ago and Amanda I believe was her name was assisting me at the front she had a very bad attitude

I was greated by Emily. She was rude AF and attempted to diagnose me from the front desk telling me what I needed without me ever seeing the doctor. When o questioned her inability to diagnose a walk in she got extremely defensive. She definitely was rude and spoke down to me. It definitely seemed as if she behaved this way with me due to the melanin throughout my skin and the lack of such melanin within her own. She had purple hair and tattoos. That coupled with her lack of professionalism was enough for me to go. Apparently she is known to be this way as I patronized other businesses who confirmed her outrageous behavior, lack of professionalism, and insulting ways. I'm not sure why a chiropractor who has gone through school, passed several board exams would allow such a person to be the face of their franchised business. As someone who attended chiropractic school myself, he either endorsed this behavior or doesn't know how nasty she truly is. I do not believe that he knows how horrible she treats people. I called The Joint after I injured my back and had no idea how anything could help. My insurance doesn't pay for chiropractic care and WC Shannon explained the benefits of their military program and I was sold! She was very helpful and kind. Dr. Shawn was knowledgeable and made me feel so much better after one visit. I went to another location out of convenience and was not as pleased. Dr. Shawn was able to address the issue quickly while still ensuring he understood what areas needed work. I even got a call the following day to check how I was feeling! I finally tracked down an unknown and mysterious auto-recurring charge to my bank account, which my bank incorrectly reported as a convenience store purchase, to The Joint in Arlington Highlands. My wife signed up in early 2016, but even though she died a few months later, the charges kept coming like clockwork for well over a year. I have been very pleased with the service until today, arrived at 6:44 pm, after working a 10 hour day, tried to get my daughter signed up but was told "We aren't taking new patients", further prodding and the true answer was"We don't take new patients after 6:30 pm, of course you can't find that info anywhere! I could understand if it was busy but when there is no patients in the building and the sign says open until 7:00 pm! Truly disappointed with the lack of customer service, will be finding a different location for my business! My experience is most all chiropractors are better than the ones at The Joint. And today I called about 4 pm and was asked my personal info to look me up. Then after locating my name she tried to sell me all their package deals, I refused and she said ok you can come in anytime because today is usually slow anyway. After dealing with rush hour traffic I get there about 6:40 and there were only a few people in the waiting room. She looks me up again and tried again to sell me their packages. I said no and she says well we don't take walk ins after 6 but would check with the Chiropractor. She comes back and says sorry she's seen 90 patients today. I reminded her of what she said on the phSo much for slow day. Also a female walked in after I left right before 7 and got treated. I guess she bought the package. Update: I was surprised how quickly upper management responded indicating they do want to keep their customers happy. No doubt chiropractors are a necessity when you really need them and since they are the most convenient for walk ins I went to their Hulen location and was taken care of. read more

I was really amazed at how helpful Meagan was at the front desk. I got there and gave her my paperwork and then next thing you know I was called back to see Dr. Jones. He immediately started to adjust me and was quite good. I am still in a lot of pain so I will go back. I did pay for the more services. Somehow the prior negative reviews have been removed. I went here for lower back pain thinking I'd feel better. I ended up worse. Only one chiropractor could adjust/crack my back (the bone crusher he's been nicknamed) while the other I saw on a different day just gave up. They don't X-ray for injury, they didn't relax my guarded muscles before adjustment. The just run as many as they can in and out like cattle. They talked me into a 6 month plan and wouldn't put a hold on it while I was out of state almost two months, and don't let you carry over. Clean place, and the front staff are friendly until you want the charges held while you're not in the area. In six months I had an actual adjustment one time. The rest were just partial. I've gone to another chiropractor since and improved almost immediately and could walk long distance after 24 hours (I could barely walk 1/4 mile due to pain). X-rays were key in finding the issue. 6 months with The Joint couldn't do what my new Dr. did in the very first adjustment. If you just want your joints cracked, this is your place. Otherwise they just want your money. No patient care. read more

I have to join the crowd here and declare that The Joint at the Highlands, Arlington Tx is lacking in the customer service department. I went in on a Sunday afternoon about 3:25pm. I felt a pain in my low back a few days earlier but it continued to get worse. I was visiting with family for the holiday weekend when the pain became unbearable. I could barely walk without limping. My niece talked me into going to The Joint Highlands. When I walked in, I was asked if I was a new patient. I was quickly told by Alyssa, like a few have mentioned here, "we are not accepting new patients" and that she could schedule me for Tuesday. Tuesday!? This young lady definitely needs more training. She is the face of that location and gives it a bad name. I could not believe what I was hearing. You are looking at a person standing in front of you in pain and so casually turn them away. I thought they were there to help people. Truly bad business. I immediately turned and walked out. I walked back to my car in excruciating pain then remembered there was a Joint location in Mansfield. I called and spoke to Brittany. I informed her that I live in Dallas and was visiting family in Arlington. I let her know my pain level was very acute and I needed an adjustment badly. Basically, I wanted to know if she could get me in because I didn't want to make the drive to be told again I couldn't get an adjustment. She said, "O great, there is a location right in the Highlands there in Arlington. It would be closer for you. You can only imagine the disbelief I felt calling the Mansfield Joint location while standing less than 15 steps from the front door of The Highlands Joint. I explained how I was already at the Highlands but because I was a new patient, they couldn't see me. Brittany asked if she could call to see what was going on. After a few minutes, Brittany called me back and said Dr. Jones agreed to see me. I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Jones. He did get me out of acute pain and I was appreciative. Alyssa, on the other hand, and her lack of training has caused me to never go back again. For the amount of wasted time it took TRYING TO GET AN ADJUSTMENT, I could have just been ADJUSTED from the start! I will also encourage anyone that will listen to find another Joint location. Do not give your money to people who do not care about you or your back. No business is too busy for good customer service! read more
