I waited for more than an hour to be adjusted because there was a new patient. Originally, there were two (patients; he is earlier than me) of us. The other patient left because it was that long. However, because I want to stretch my back and I dont have the luxury of going there anytime I opted to wait until... My concern is Dr. Melissa Rodriquez did not even stretch my back even with a request and I told her it has been the way the other doctor does it and can she please do it. She said she is a doctor she does not over do it. I asked her if the other doctors are overdoing it. She said she does not know but thats her protocol. I arrived before they were closed & they had the doors locked & turned me away. I arrived at a similar time the week prior & was never informed of this must arrive 15 minutes before closing policy. I have a chronic pain illness & the hour round trip drive in Los Angeles was a lot on me... so for me to arrive & have this new policy sprung on me & be turned away in pain, was so unethical of a health care provider. I would've been happy to abide by polices I was aware of, but because I was turned away in pain & the strain that this had on me, when all I needed was 2 minutes of there time to relieve my physical suffering... I will never return to this location & have cancelled my membership. read more

First time I came to this location (1/31/26) during working hours, the door was locked and no one answered when I called. I left a message and waited for about fifteen minutes before leaving because there was no response. The second time I came to this location (2/8/26) there were five people waiting when I arrived, the doctor was working on people and working as the receptionist (because there was none for the day) selling packages. It was, therefore, double the time for each patient. I left without any service for a second time at this location because I, unfortunately, do not have an extra hour in my schedule to wait. Scheduled two appointments.. the first time they canceled day of saying there was going to be no doctor in which doesn't really make sense to me. They told me to reschedule so I did however when i showed up the doors were locked no one inside and the lights were off. I waited outside in the rain for 15mins and still nothing. I went in this morning in desperate need of some relief in my back. It's to the point it's difficult to do everyday tasks. So I made an appointment, show up. I forget the Dr. that helped me but she was an older woman, super nice. I'm trying to put myself in her shoes, and I'm trying to understand why she tried adjusting me if she couldn't get the job done. She did the consultation & then proceeded to try to adjust me. Now I'll be honest since the start I was a little skeptical because she's an older woman and typically I need someone that looks a bit more strong to do this type of work on me. But because I'm desperate I'm gonna follow her lead & let the professional do the work. Now she starts trying pushing on my back and all that and nothing is working so after 3 attempts and now my back feeling worst than it did in the beginning. She decides to recommend me to go to the lake wood location because there is a "bigger man" there than can "probably" do it. Now this is where I'm a bit frustrated because personally when I do consultations for my job if I don't think I can do the job correct or help I wouldn't be trying from the start. I'd recommend someone that would get the job done better from the start. So here I am paying for a service that I didn't even receive. I left hurting more than I did before walking in. I felt so frustrated and in more pain leaving I paid and just left because if I talked in that moment I wouldn't have been as nice as this yelp review. Super nice lady but there's not strength in the adjustment she provides & instead of being honest up front making me pay for nothing then recommending me to go pay again to get the service she couldn't provide done. First-timer here and I wanted to give it a try to have an adjustment, since my last Chiro visit. The front-desk guy asked me if I already had any accident before and if it's work-related, and I said yes but it wasn't work related and just a minor fall in my backyard, some 4 yrs ago. Then I also had a carpal tunnel surgery over 6 mos. ago, and that was it. To my surprise, I got denied and was told to go somewhere else. So frustrating that I came here to be fist on their opening hour, just to be thrown away for unknown reason! He freakin' didn't even tell me the reason (or was it because I didn't have membership yet? Or did I look that I am not capable of paying? :)) Too bad, I was referred here by my Dentist (and a good friend) to give it a try. I give this place two stars because I went to get treatment for my back pain. They paperwork stated there is a possibility of paralysis and or stroke from the treatment. In order to be seen. They asks patients to agree to mandatory arbitration which leaves the patient no recourse if they cause the patient paralysis or a stroke. There was no way to opt out of the mandatory arbitration on their form. So i could not be treated if I didn't agree to arbitration. Companies should never ask their potential clients to waive their rights to legal recourse. Most patients probably don't read the forms they sign. If you read this review before going to the joint for care. Make note if you sign their paperwork to be seen you are waiving your right to legal recourse and agree to arbitration instead. read more

He was very friendly and paid attention to detail of what was in my records and asked me follow-up questions. I highly recommend going to him if you're new to the area or a regular. At the Joint, the price of 4 visits a month equals 3 free visits for the price of the 1, compared to some chiropractors. I also love the convenience of just dropping in wherever I am (LB, Cerritos, Lakewood.) But, can you say "free deep tissue massage?" Go to Cerritos to see Dr. Neil Andres, and he will prep you by relaxing your muscles. He is also a body builder and uses his skill and strength to leave you relaxed and mobile. If you are closer to The Joint on PCH/LB, then see Dr. Andy Ly who is also a great masseur (he lives at the gym too) and enjoy the views of the ocean at that location! read more

Spotted this place before the actual opening and got around to redeeming my complimentary adjustment just the other day. I haven't visited a chiropractor in over 5 years and desperately needed it. Having one so close by makes it easy to finally go consistently! I was having neck discomfort for a few days.. the "slept wrong" sort of feeling and had a big knot at the base of my skull. Lower back pain came outta no where, it was the worst I ever experienced and was barely able to walk and in pain. I seen the $29 price and decided to try it. After only 3 visits i am pain free and able to walk and enjoy life again. Okay I have been in extreme pain for months without having a cervical injection which is pointless as well. But the doctor talked to me walked through my symptoms and did a full adjustment.
