I came here with my husband for first time client chiropractic adjustments. I have aches, pains and a randomly partially numb foot that brought me in and my husband just wanted an adjustment because its been a long time since he had one. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The office experience is as described in a lot of the reviews, the front desk kinda seems miserable to be there and the process to get signed in takes a long time on your phone and they dont have working wifi so you have to steal access to another local businesses wifi to fill out the required paperwork outside of the business or you cant do it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That was very unprofessional and strange. The actual chiropractor was educated and he did a good job. It alleviated my aches and my foot is improving (i think/hope). The last thing I didnt love was the recommended follow up from the chiropractor seemed way overboard. It felt wrong to be told you have to come so often. I could be wrong but somehow my husband also was recommended to come at least weekly when there wasn't anything wrong with him..... Overall id try it out if there is a deal but for the ongoing price I might try a different place. read more

I'm giving this practice 2 stars solely because the chiropractors themselves are skilled and effective. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, the front desk receptionist has been consistently unprofessional during every visit I've made over time, and nothing has changed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This past weekend, I was told the visit would cost $110 and that it would be better to return another time since I'd "need to do paperwork anyway." When I checked later, the listed price is actually $55 per visit. This review is long overdue. Dr Ivan is the 1st Dr that has given me beyond the moon adjustments for my neck and back. I remember the first couple times I was so tight and in pain, I let out a loud yell and the second time I cried bc nobody has been able to give me that kind of relief. I recently traveled to AZ and Texas and visited the joint in those places; none could compare to Dr Ivan. I won't go anywhere else. When it first opened here years ago there was one main doctor and receptionist for a very long time. Both were great. For years now it's been a revolving door of chiropractors and receptionists; the care quality has plummeted. They have had terrible doctors over the years, and one good one. Don't accidentally subscribe thinking you are getting a pack of visits! I believe we were scammed in this way and no notifications were sent after nine months of inactivity because we thought we had used the visits we paid for already. We came here in an emergency because our usual chiropractor was fully booked for the next few weeks. Since we have a chiropractor who is nearly family to us we have no reason to sign up for any subscriptions so we opted to go for the per-visit deal. We were also leaving the country in a couple of weeks for a month-long international trip. All the more reason not to sign up for any subscriptions or packages. I am also personally against subscriptions due to the fact both my wife and I are very busy and don't stay up to date on all the transactions going through our accounts so it's just easier to pay the upfront cost and not risk forgetting about a subscription. Well..... they signed us up for a subscription anyway without us knowing... We were in a bit of a hurry between appointments and signed the documents on a tablet to get started. (I assumed liability docs because of the nature of the treatments) No. This was the subscription documents. (My fault I guess.. but seriously!! Have some respect for your customers) 9 months go by and we finally realized we had been getting charged every month for $89 each month. Total is $810. We got NO notifications through email or text that we were still being charged. We had never used any of the visits of course because we didn't know we were on a plan with them. My wife has been regularly visiting our normal chiropractor. There is no way we would have consented for this. THEN YOU CAN'T CANCEL without coming in person! We called to cancel but were informed we had to do it in person.. The place isn't super close to our house so we had to waste our Sunday afternoon trekking out there to sign documents IN PERSON! None of this is super bad on it's own but added up all together I wish we had never come across this place. It would be better if they didn't exist and a more honest company was in their place. So for this reason I am leaving the review. I almost never leave bad reviews or reviews in general. I would have accepted an automated email after 3 or 4 months of inactivity and would be a lot more lenient but this is predatory. I hope others don't get in this trap too. This company is predatory for these reasons: 1. No notifications were sent out even after we hadn't visited for months. 2. Signatures are taken on a small screen tablet making it less likely for anyone to read. 3. You CAN'T CANCEL without coming in person! 4. I believe we were NOT properly explained what we were signing up for. I know this is on us but we are very careful about this stuff and we should NOT have trusted them when we signed the documents and didn't read it thoroughly. On top of that, I see a lot of reports of even getting charged after going out of the way to cancel in person. I am putting a stop through my bank to make sure. She did not approach us and explain to us about the different promotions that they have.She also looks tired and it seems like she does not want to deal with us. I live in downtown LA so I don't really have a Joint near me so I bounce around to different locations depending on friends I am visiting or events I am at. I have a friend who just moved down the street from this location so I decided to stop in and I'm so glad I did because I reconnected with one of my favorite chiropractors, Dr. Escobar. I used to see him regularly when he was at the Wilshire and Highland location. What a great surprise to see him here! He is so kind and I always feels so much better after an adjustment from him. I highly recommend Dr. Escobar and I will return to this location. It's a very clean office and positive vibe. Friendly staff and plenty of easy parking in the parking lot. When she asked for me to take a seat on the table to check my blood pressure, she got very annoyed with me for some reason because I sat on the wrong side of the table and then, rudely with a tone of voice like im some child that just disobeyed her/also with a dirty look on her face, tells me to sit on the other side, then from there forward her tone of voice was very demeaning the rest of the visit, like she was mad at me for some reason. I'm happy I found this place. It's super affordable compared to other chiropractor clinics. That helps me to maintain my spine and neck and don't leave money on the table. The staff here are very friendly, personable, and most of all, knowledgeable. You don't want just any chiropractor touching your back. The only one I trust to do so is John. I feel awesome after his adjustments. He also gave me a few tips on how to fix some issues I faced, such as stretching exercises, which I appreciate. Walked in on a Saturday with my sister and her bf for last minute adjustments. Dr. Choi was amazing! 5 stars for the adjustment and 5 stars for his cheesy jokes. He works at this location Fridays & Saturday's. We had a great time and were lucky they were able to squeeze us in before they closed! Jenny at the front desk was also super sweet and helpful. Shame on me for trusting a discount chiropractor. I went in for neck pain and ended up with 2 herniated disc's in my lower back and I'm still recovering. I went in to cancel my membership because I don't ever want to go back and the girl in front doesn't even offer and apology, doesn't even bat and eye, just hands me the tablet and sends me on my way. Ive been going to Joint Chiropractic for about 2yrs now. I love how its so easy to just show up, get your back cracked and then your out. In and out, super easy. Prices are very reasonable. i think its cheap, definitely if you buy a bigger package. That's what i do and i think its only $26 a session. Cant beat that. read more

My five stars are specific to this location and to Dr. Deborah. I've been a subscribing patient of TJC for a few years now, and it can be very frustrating at times - doctors change (pay them more, Corporate), hours vary, and some docs are not good. Having said all that, if you've got a crazy schedule (I'm a Set Medic), enjoy an affordable chiropractic visit, and believe that routine adjustments keep you going strong, give TJC a try. They have an introductory offer of $29 so you can check it out for yourself. This location is not the one closest to my home. Dr. Deborah is well worth the drive. She has been practicing here and in the UK for nearly 20 years. Dr. Deborah's adjustments are deep and gentle (one of my complaints with the "bad docs" is how rough they are). I was in the process of resolving a way too rough adjustment from the Nordhoff location when I was first treated by Dr. Deborah. I had been worried I wasn't going to get better, and that Dr. C had really injured me at the CT junction. Within three visits to Dr. Deborah (I try to go once a week), I was doing great. Months later, the pain has completely resolved and I no longer fear it returning. If you want to stay on top of your spinal health, and have a hard time keeping regular M-F appointments (hello film industry peeps), I definitely recommend Dr. Deborah at the Woodland Hills location. At the time of this review, she's there Tu-Sa. I don't know who the Sunday & Monday doctor is, they might be great too. The women who run the front desk are very nice and helpful.
