They have predatory business practices. I went in with a shoulder problem a total of four times not once was my shoulder addressed. Only later was it mentioned I may need to get a massage, but not from them since they don't do massage at all. So what was I paying $187 for them to do everything except my problem. True quality chiropractic care takes time, it looks like their business model is to get people in and out within five minutes. I am only writing this review to warn others with legitimate medical issues this style of chiropractic probably won't work for more serious problems. read more

I went to The Joint to get adjusted as I had been having some neck pain. It is located right in between Chipotle and Buffalo Wild Wings so I could see how if you went at the wrong time, parking would be a situation. The Joint only takes walk ins, so there is no appointment needed, which could be a good or bad thing. After filling out the paperwork I finally got adjusted. The chiropractor was very nice and explained everything that he did and why he was doing it. Up until this point, I would have given it a 5 star review. But after he was done adjusting me the man tried to sell me on getting their monthly plan. I would have appreciated this but it was ALOT and kind of in my face. He did offer four free adjustments if I signed up though. Unfortunately I just didn't get a great vibe after that and decided not to sign up for the monthly plan. read more

Not impressed.... Waste of my money & time.. not a clue what the DC's name was since he never introduced himself.. this place is total hit or miss.. mostly miss.. I have only found one DC that gives quality treatment.. if I decide to go back I will have to make sure that he is working that day..... otherwise, I will walk out., better yet, I think Ill try and heal myself and save myself money and the stress of shotty DC treatment.. I love this idea of a quick visit to the chiro at a great price. Long gone are my days of going to the chiro through my medical insurance, just to sit there for what seems like forever to be seen and a quick adjustment. When visiting one of these locations, you scan your membership ba rcode, head straight to the back lie on the next available table and wait your turn for adjustment! I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes, and to make things even better, they leave notes in their system for what the issues are and what has been done, to help with the next time you are in. they are open 6 days a week, and most nights until 7 pm, so it is great to be able to go after work instead of during work. read more

I woke up in the morning with a small kink in between my blades and I figured it wouldn't hurt to catch it quickly and get a adjustment so I figured I would try you guys, Bad Decision !!!!!!!!!!!! I went in first thing and got in right away, I explained my problem and he had me lay on the table, every thing was normal until now, except for the the fact that he asked no questions or anything just went right to it and gave me the hardest first adjustment, crack or whatever you call it, that i think i have ever had for a first adjustment, and i let out a scream like i never have before in my life and i think I scared the crap out of everyone in the place, he even backed off away from me and he said I think you better get a x-ray. At which i found out they do not do???? Witch really surprised me also. At that point I tried to get up off the table and could hardly move, and he would not even touch me. At this point I finally got help and got up and had no choice but to leave, I then went home and made a apointment with my primary care phycian for a x ray . I was visiting Reno and was in serious pain! I had a massage at the spa but it wasn't enough. Pain pills and ice weren't enough. I had to drive over 500 miles home and was worried. I had been a regular client of the Joint in Las Vegas because my friend, an amazing chiropractor, worked at the Tropicana location. So I decided to take a risk and try this location. Dr. Joe saved the day for me! He was able to pull up my Vegas file on the computer. He read my treatment notes so he knew my history. He sensed I was nervous so he shared that he had a practice in San Luis Obispo for 34 years before moving to Reno/Sparks to be near his grandchildren. He adjusted my necks, shoulders, hips and thoracic spine. I felt relief immediately -- a huge improvement. I had no problem driving home and didn't need anymore pain pills. I absolutely love this place and would not be able to survive without it. I had major movement issues in my neck and upper back and with consistent visits am now 100% better. We live in California and were passing through Nevada back from Utah. My daughter's ribs were out from volleyball conditioning and she was previously adjusted earlier that week by The Joint in Farmington, Utah. I say that so it's known she knows what it feels like to be out, and she knows what it feels like to be back in, even with the muscle soreness that immediately follows. We paid the drop in fee and waited for the next available chiropractor. I wish I caught her name for accountability purposes. She was brunette, short, and fit. She did what I assumed was an okay job on adjusting my daughter...until we went to leave and my daughter told me she still felt out. I get it that a chiropractor might not have supreme knowledge whether someone is completely back in, especially since my daughter was too shy to tell her to her face. I get it, it's fine. So I walked back in and politely asked for her to adjust her again, that she maybe missed a spot or two in a specific area my daughter was pointing out. She IMMEDIATELY took obvious offense. I wasn't critiquing her skills or supposed expertise, I simply said I think she's still out, can we please give it another go? She said nope...she got everything...she's just sore. I explained this isn't my daughter's first rodeo and can feel the difference of the pressure of a misaligned rib compared to a sore or spasming muscle. She still insisted on arguing with me. Blows my mind. Even if I'm crazy and my daughter knows nothing...appease the customer and smile and nicely say yeah let's get you taken care of...dont back up on your heels and act attacked. I can definitely be intimidating when I want to be, but I was not in this instance...I was just asking nicely for a complete service and was honestly shocked at her ruffled feathers. Special note: we've been to real, private chiropractor practices before and they took way more time looking everything over and aligning/adjusting/checking every part of the body...not just a specific area of concern and some quick neck cracks for effect. Well...the tall male chiropractor working next to her must have heard our exchange starting to escalate, because he quickly and kindly stepped in to diffuse it and said, "let's take a look!" (As soon as he stepped in, our original, offended chiropractor spun around on a dime and furiously started typing away on her keyboard, never to look or speak to us again....CHILL OUT, LADY.) He DID FIND a spot that was still out (or at the very least acted like he did for our benefit) and popped it back in. My daughter was almost in tears as we left from her sore muscles...but she could tell the rib was back in. It took a whole 90 more seconds. Not too much to ask, I don't think. Thank you, tall chiropractor dude. I'm sure they both are competent at their job and maybe she was just having a bad day attitude wise...but my humble advice to you would be to avoid the chick with the chip on her shoulder, go for the nice tall dude instead. He's the only reason I upped this to three stars. She was at best two stars. Attitude is everything. Special note for everyone in customer service related fields: the customer is always right. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE WRONG. :) Don't take a simple request for correction as a personal attack. Use to love this place be quick and easy can go in on my break since I work 7-7 but has now become a pain in the rear to just be able to walk in and do a adjustment ! If you mention for one second you had a work comp claim at one point the need documentation to be able to see you but if I would of never said nothing they woulda worked on me anyways ! Go in again to get adjustment sign says open oh but no doctors to work on your back at all ???? This was my first chiropractor experience ever, I suffer from chronic back pain, and came here at a moment of desperation, looking for any kind of comfort. They have same day walk in appointments, and the there isn't any wait. Once you walk in, they have three massage type beds set up in the back, they sit you down to go over the typical issues with people with back pain. Once this is briefly explained, they lay you down and check for abnormalities that can be felt within the spine. Not going to lie, the cracking of the back and the neck and the hip felt amazing, however, I realized this is not the best course of action for me. I think for other people this treatment might be effective, but it's not for me. The only thing I didn't like is that they give you a "treatment plan" where they give you a discounted rate if you make the decision to continue going to them right then and there, in addition, they ask you to set up the payments to be automatically taken out. They make you believe that if you don't continue treatment, then the spine will have the risk of loosing the curvature, and in addition you have a higher risk for getting arthritis. I don't think that all of this can be assessed by only feeling your bones by hand. It was a good experience to have once, but I won't be trying this again. read more

I went in because I drove by the place a few times and saw they had an introductory price on a consult and one alignment for $19. I have been having problems with my hip for about two weeks. It's really been hindering my workouts lately. As a new patient you watch a little video where you learn about the spine and chiropractic work before the dr comes in for the consult. Then he presses on a few points and such. I discovered that I had an alignment problem which was causing the pain in my hip as well as chronic migraines. After the consult he showed me an X-ray video of a women's neck who had similar problems as I do. Then I was able to watch a few alignments before mine was done. The dr made sure I was comfortable and confident with the process as well as talked me through the whole thing. He didn't even touch my hip, but the pain is already almost gone with just one alignment! I feel like a million bucks. Even emotionally I am feeling better :) For $50 a month you can be seen once a week. For the first month twice. I think that is a great deal! The inside is really modern, comfortable, and clean. I tried them for several months and in the beginning it seems nice and like it'll be helpful. But eventually it didn't really change anything in how my back felt. If anything, I felt worse with time. Any time I spoke about my pain it felt like I wasn't actually listened to and I got this condescending lecture on behaviors I was already doing, they just didn't let me finish explaining. So that assumption of my lifestyle and them ending up being wrong, while simultaneously not helping me target the problem was frustrating, and facing that while dealing with chronic pain is absolutely discouraging. Like I know they're doing their job and trying where they can but I just felt like a part in an assembly line as they crank through adjustments per day. Don't get me wrong, they're incredibly kind and I get how easy it is to transfer and attribute chronic pain to a professional; with this perceptual expectation they're supposed to fix it when no human is a miracle worker. I just, didn't feel like the actual problem was assessed, I felt like they didn't know what was going on so they just did the regular standard adjustments. read more

They use a community care approach vs. private treatment rooms, which lowers overhead and so they pass the savings on to you with excellent rates and plans. Additional adjustments for $12/ea. If you get a family plan, your dependents pay less. With my discount coupon, the first month was $39 and included 4 additional adjustments for a total of 8 in the first month. Compared with the $35 visits I was getting before, the deal is amazing. In other words, for $39, I'll get 8 treatments that would have cost me $280 with my previous chiropractor. But again, it's not the plans, it's the hands. That's what really sold me. I hurt my back on 12/14/17. On Saturday 12/16/17 I decided to seek Chiropractic Services. I called The Joint and was told no appointment needed, first come, first served basis. I immediately went there. I went into the lobby where another couple sat and was given paperwork to complete and did so. Dr. Jenison then called the couple to the back. People continued to walk in and get alignments and such in between his time with the couple that were also there for the first time. With the exception of the couple I was there long before all the other walk in clients. I continued to wait while clients that came in after me went ahead of me. I asked the receptionist what was going on. She said the Dr. had to review my information and would call me back shortly. Finally, I was taken to the back where he was still working on the couple. There was only one Dr on duty, we were all told that because it was slow earlier that day the other Dr went home. At one point Dr. Jenison walked over and hugged me, told me he'd be right with me. Is this normal? I did not see him hug anyone else. I was caught off guard and did NOT like it. More clients came in and received service while I continued to wait. Another client even noticed I had been waiting so when the Dr Jenison went to work on him he advised the Dr I was here before him. Dr Jenison responded to him by saying, "shes new so she can wait". Seriously.... Is this how new clients are treated? How do you keep a business by treating new people so rudely? I then asked how much longer and he replied not to rush him that it would stress him out. I listened while he went back to the new couple and finished up with them, he then offered them a package deal with discounts. After that he then came over to me, rather than going over what was wrong he lectured me about the paperwork and made all kinds of circles on it telling me I hadn't answered this area. My apologies but I thought this is stuff I would go over with him. Plus, most of it didn't even apply. He tried to accuse I hadn't filled in other stuff and then took it back as he noticed it was filled in. At this time he told me to lay down, popped by back, told me to ice it and come back tomorrow. He was very rude since apparently he now felt rushed. How is waiting 30 minutes while he treated numerous other clients that came in after me rushing him? The receptionist was so embarrassed and offered me the phone number to corporate. She apologized over and over and said it is supposed to be first come first served. She assured me that the other doctors are not like that. I can't believe I paid money to be treated so rudely,observed such unprofessional behavior just to end up with getting my back popped which has done absolutely nothing. Today I will contact a real Chiropractic Service. It is too bad because before this experience I was excited and already planning on returning due to the hours and convenience. read more

Dr. Camilleri is amazing! I started out at the location off of McCarran, and while the service was adequate I was getting constantly over-adjusted and it was causing me pain. Since I had already signed up for the $49 a month deal, I was committed to using the service so I opted to try the location over by Legends. I do not know why I didn't start here! Now, a quick detour: I love my old chiropractor, Dr. Joseph Day. However, he's become incredibly popular and it's getting harder to get into him. On top of that, I've lost my chiropractic coverage so I have to pay $40 each time I go. For $49 I can get four appointments on a drop-in basis which is what suits me best as my issues tend to arise in an acute manner. Now, back to the review! Dr. Camilleri pays special attention to each patient, and never makes you feel rushed despite the fact that you're in and out within 10 to 15 minutes (at the VERY most). He's knowledgeable, and answers any questions without making you feel stupid. On top of that, he's careful to adjust your body however it is your body has decided it needs to be adjusted; if this means traction adjustment, then so be it. He uses all the tools available to him. After only two appointments, I'm back to being able to function without pain, and I know that when I go back for my weekly maintenance he'll check to see what needs adjustment and/or fine tuning and do only what's necessary. One of the things I like best is that once he's done his adjustment he RE-CHECKS to make sure that whatever changes he's made are holding and haven't set off anything else. This is something that is generally lacking in the chiropractic world. I haven't had any reaction headaches, or soreness because of this. read more

I went in for an adjustment today. Mind you I have a kinesiologist I regularly go to. However, I couldn't make it to him for two weeks since his practice is in South Lake Tahoe. I expected to go in, tell them my issue, just needed an adjustment as my lower back was out of whack. I walked passed the sign in front of the business that stated "$19 adjustment." I had called earlier to confirm an appointment and was told to "just drop in." As I hobbled up to the front counter a pleasant enough young lady informed me that, we focus on long-term health, not quick fixes. Now the sign out front pretty much says quick fix as in a $19 adjustment. The ads in Facebook...Yep $19 dollar drop-in adjustment. Girl at the front counter....we don't do that. So, I hobbled back out the front door, passed the sign that mockingly told me I could get some relief, climbed back in my car to headband to work as my lunch hour was half gone. Thanks The Joint for Mis-leading a back in need. I would give more than one star but I couldn't even get passed the counter. read more

I love that they make the process so quick and easy. After you get signed up all you have to do is go in when you want to and you are seen instantly or within 5 mins. The only thing I will say is a negative is that they do not contract with insurance. So if you have insurance that makes your chiropractic visits only $20 per visit then you should go someplace that will accept your insurance. A one time visit here is $39 but they do offer payment plans that can make your visits as low as $17 but you have to be on a monthly payment plan for $69/month that will allow you 4 visits in that month.
