Cute little coffee shop... well, let me correct that... it looks small from the outside, but reveals additional levels with quite a bit of seating once you are inside. Service is quite friendly and the coffee is great. We came here just for a cup of java, well in my case cappuccino and I must say it was delicious. They do offer snacks and baked goods, but we had just finished lunch. Next time we are in the area, we'll check out more goodies from here. read more

Wow! The best iced drink I've had in a long time (maybe ever)! After exploring Crawfordsville, my mom and I stopped in for a drink to enjoy on our drive home. The coffee shop itself is huge, with plenty of places to sit and work, and the baristas were super friendly. There were only a few tables outdoors, but still, a nice place to sit on a warm day. As it is fall, we decided to try their local specialty, the Chumpkin. As I stated, this is perhaps the best iced drink I've ever had. It is a combination of an iced Chai and pumpkin spice. Wow! It really tasted like a pumpkin pie. Plenty of pumpkin flavor, cinnamon, and more. I'm a little thankful it's an hour away as I suspect I'd be ordering it daily! I tried to take it home to share some of the goodness with my family, but once my son got to it, he finished it off. So, I guess I'll have to take another road trip with the rest of the family so they can give it a try! read more

Good atmosphere and has potential. The latte had flavor but the milk wasn't frothed at all. While sitting in the shop we noticed that the young gentleman that was making the lattes while we were there wasn't aerating the milk properly and so the end product was flat hot milk. Please train all your baristas to keep the quality of your product standardized. This will keep people coming back. read more

For folks who like to buy there coffee, find a seat and spend time quietly, you won't find a better place in the area. The long and narrow coffee shop has the order counter on your left as you enter and a few small tables along the right. About half way back, there is a staircase that leads to more seating upstairs (the kitchen for their baked goods are in the lower floor.) Maybe it was because it was an overcast day, but this north-facing shop was dimly lit and relied upon soft lighting. Very peaceful. I ordered my usual black coffee and though I looked over the pastry options, they only had two that day and neither had the visual appeal to make me want one. I paid and was given a cup so that I could fill my coffee at the "pumping station." The coffee, while hot, didn't scald my palate (Yeah!) and had a medium roast flavor (just a hint of bitter.) So, a good coffee, not the best I've had. The building itself is located across from the south side of the courthouse. It doesn't have a sign our front that you can see it from the side....just a window sign. I suggest looking for the covered extension that sticks out across the sidewalk to be able to find it more easily. Parking is free along the street. Review #3742 read more

A cute little coffee shop tucked in downtown Crawfordsville. The first time I stopped here it was hard to find because the sign is hard to see from the street. When we walked in we were greeted and the staff was friendly. I ordered a hazelnut latte. They have a lot of sugar free syrups as well as regular for flavorings. This is just the cutest coffee shop! The split level coffee shop is quiet, dimly lit, and immediately relaxing. I never even knew Crawfordsville had a local shop, but someone at work mentioned how much they loved The Joshua Cup and I was instantly curious--I went three hours later to check it out. I ordered their Iced Chai and homemade bakery item of the day, their Lemon Bar. Delicious! This is the cutest little coffee shop with speedy, professional, and friendly service. We were visiting from out of state to drop off our frosh son at Wabash. I enjoyed a truly great latte and initially loved sitting out in front on a warm Saturday afternoon. That was until the large pack of Harley Davidson riders were stopped at the red light and saw me discreetly plugging my ears. They proceeded to rudely and loudly rev their engines and choked us w/exhaust fumes for several minutes while they waited for the light to change. Only one of the ladies on the back was polite enough to mouthe an apology. And they wonder why they often get a bad rap. No reflection on The Joshua Cup, however, which was a great find and local treasure! read more

I ordered the Mexican Hot Chocolate which accommodated the time of year "autumn" and my friend had the Strawberry Italian Soda which he said was "refreshing." This was our first stop on a fall road trip planned out by Pack Up + Go. To be honest, I'm gonna daydream about the vanilla biscotti!! The coffee was delicious too. The sweet old building gave it a nice comfy feeling...definitely a warm atmosphere, I can almost imagine curling up in one of the leather wingback chairs and reading on a crisp fall day or a blustery winter's day. I'm a plain cup of Joe type of person, so I love that their house brew is made in a French press and the roast choices change daily. My favorite roast is Rage Against the Bean. The scones are made fresh daily by the baristas, and they are perfect with a strong cup of coffee. I'm not a fan of the overly roasted taste of Starbucks, so this is my go to coffee shop in Crawfordsville. The atmosphere is nice as well. If you want a quiet place to read, or meet a friend I would highly recommend it. I only took away one star for the tiny bathroom that is located upstairs. So, if you are in a wheelchair the bathroom is inaccessible. read more
