Probably took 5 minutes before someone acknowledged us, at which point some folks had left the bar towards the end of the dining area, so we claimed 3 stools there so that we could watch the World Cup game on their big screen TV to the side of the bar. I ordered a flight [$14, plus $1 upcharge for a seasonal nitro] to get a sampling of their offerings. The Bird Dog Brown, Big 4, Black Parade, and Bourbon Bock were all fine, but the Borracha stood out as the best and most original flavor of the batch. My wife and I split three items. The Jumbo Pretzel ($12) was a disappointment as they changed it from the last time we came. It previously was a large pretzel in the traditional shape that tasted like it was made in house, but this was a collection of grandiose pretzel bites arranged in a circle around a bowl of the provided beer cheese. It simply wasn't as good in flavor nor quantity I believe. The basket of Parmesan fries ($9) were a decent amount of fries covered in parmesan shreds and also had some sauce that covered the middle bottom of the basket that was OK. The star was the Fried Mushrooms ($10), which were beer battered portobello slices that tasted outstanding. Overall, a mostly solid combination of food and beverage to take in the game. Would absolutely get the Borracha and Fried Mushrooms again.

It took over an hour for a burger and two Philly cheesesteaks. My son didn't like the burger at all. The cheesesteaks were awful. A bunch of over cooked mushrooms and some cheese spooge and very little steak. What steak that was on the sandwich was over cooked ( actually burned). The hostess decided it was time to mop the floors even though there were still customers. Just an awful experience. Wish I could have the time back.

"Fish 'n chips" should be removed from menu: tasted like frozen filets deep fried in old oil with condiment-cup side of slaw.

Of course my daughter called traders point creamery to order a couple custom charcuterie trays. They're very good with pasteurized versus non-pasteurized options, different meats, cheeses, honey, and nuts. I have no idea what she paid for them because she would not let me help pay, but they were all very good. We also had some of the honey buns and French bread that came with us. We loved walking through the gardens and seeing all of the thriving plants, make sure you take the time to enjoy nature

The creamery / dairy is such a cool addition to the whole experience. They make their own ice cream and various cheeses. They offered them on a cheese charcuterie board for an appetizer. The place sits on a large and very pretty plot of property. The cows are adorable and they have my favorite cows - the cute and sweet brown Swiss and Jersey breeds. The restaurant is vast and the atmosphere is comfy and rustic. The food was great and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It was all well prepared. We tried the fish, burger, mac and cheese and scallops pasta dish. I had a filet steak and it was wonderful. The staff were very knowledgeable and so helpful and friendly. They have a gift shop and sell many cool handmade items like lotions, soaps and food. If I am ever back in this area, I will absolutely come back.

We did the scavenger hunt, completed puzzles inside the maze, and eventually wound our way through! It was a very hot day for the season, so the apple cider slushes and hayride around the farm were good rewards. They also served Native Bread cookies in the shop, so I had a pumpkin chocolate chip one. A very pleasing option for a gluten free and dairy free person like me! I bought cider to take home and it was fantastic and priced well. It cost $10 each to get back into the activity area, which was reasonable, but could get pricey if you're bringing a big family. So check rates ahead of time and save up! But we had a great visit and I'd go back for another fall adventure.

I attended the Sunflower Festival this weekend with my husband, sister and niece. There's really something for everyone. They have a gift shop as well as a neat and novelty grocery dept. There was a kids entrepreneurial endeavor as well where we bought some trinkets and sunflower pillowcases made by the kids who were selling them directly. Great concept! Whether you'd like to snack on delicious, fresh cider donuts while sipping on apple cider slush or have a smash burger & watch your wood fired pizza being made for lunch, the food and drinks are guaranteed to keep you in good spirits. The festival admission includes two fresh cuttings of any sunflowers of your choosing as well as three zinnia cuts. They hand you a pair of clippers and you then get to venture out into the "Fields of Gold"-- to quote Sting. It's overwhelmingly beautiful. The admission also includes tractor & train rides around the farm, access to the big slides (child sizes too) playgrounds and the opportunity to go apple picking for an additional fee. Prices are all pretty reasonable for an event like this one and parking is free. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They have activities for kids to keep them busy and entertained. 10/10 will be returning again next year.

Maybe you like me had forgotten about The Loft at Traders Point...or you just didn't know about!…read moreWell I'm here to tell you make the reservation and go! From the moment we checked in with the host stand we were impressed! We were quickly seated and greeted. Jonaz was our server and he was incredible- he made so many recommendations for us, pointed out what's popular, what he loves and explained more about the flavors working together on the menu than would meet the eye! We also got to see Pascal, one of the managers while we were there! If you frequented Patachou in Clay Terrace...you know Pascal! We enjoyed an incredible cheese board to start our meal! Fantastic drinks- as someone who is currently pregnant I LOVED that they had mocktails that were not super sweet, that seems to be tough for a lot of places to get on the menu! We also started with the Yeast Rolls which sound so simple but were incredible. Moving on we had the Harvest Salad- I had never had pickled rhubarb and it was such a great addition. The black tea vinaigrette was amazing, fresh and light- the team in the back of the house knows what they are doing and is putting the work in on creating a perfectly curated menu with flavors that WORK! For entrees I had the Foraged Mushroom Bucatini with salmon added and my husband had the New York Strip. It's been a minute since we've been somewhere that's served a perfectly cooked steak on the first shot and this was edge to edge perfectly medium rare for him. We shared a side of the Spring Green vegetables- I'll dream about them, they were amazing. Jonaz helped my husband pick out a glass of wine to compliment his entree and knocked it out of the park. Now I'm telling you- you're going to want to eat all your food but you have to save room for dessert! How can you come and not try any ice cream?! We had the strawberry ice cream to split and it was a great end to our meal. I will say as we were leaving we saw a server walk by with a Toffee Crumble Sundae (I think that's the name) and let's just say that next time...we'll be trying that! We will 100% be back! The store downstairs is adorable, and we want to try out their brunch!
