Being a holiday weekend we fully expected a wait for our food as is usual for SnowShoe restaurants. We are familiar with this scenario since we own a cabin nearby and frequent the village for special events and weekend getaways. We arrived at around 7:15pm. ordered food and waited...and waited...at around 8:20pm our waiter brought a tray of food out and proceeded to tell us that although we waited an hour they neglected to inform us that they were out of ribs, thus 2 of the 7 people in our party had no food. We ordered other items and asked to speak to the manager. As we waited for the manager my mother who was accompanying us found a chunk of aluminum foil in her pulled pork sandwhich. When the manager came to the table we explained our frustrations to which he responded with sarcasm stating yeah, we are busy it takes a while for food. He then blamed our waiter stating he had been informed several times about the rib situation.(Odd since the table beside us who sat down at the same time ordered and recieved ribs). The waiter was polite and did comp one of the less expensive sandwiches but added our newly ordered items to the bill. How a restaurant runs out of one of the signature dishes on a holiday weekend is beyond me. I'll chalk that up to piss poor planning on the rude managers part. Although we frequent the village we will no longer be a patron of The Juntion. Sad since it's been a favorite in the past. read more

My husband and I had the good fortune of eating at The Junction two nights last week. The first night I had the short ribs with mashed potatoes and green beans. The meat was tender and delicious! The mashed potatoes were very good and the green beans were a bit over-cooked. My husband had the burger and said it was good. The second night we both had the sliders and french onion soup. Both were delicious! There were three sliders per order and two were equivalent to a burger. We ended up taking three home with us. The Old Fashions were very good as well. The staff were friendly and efficient. We couldn't understand why it was not more crowded because our experience both nights was good, hence our return there. I would highly recommend The Junction for dinner! read more

Visited this establishment on our last trip to snowshoe as we are bar people we went straight to the bar and was greeted immediately by the bartender Caleb (awesome bartender) with a smile and upbeat attitude! We had the wings to start with they were solid! Yummy but the sandwiches and sides were a tad lacking so 5 stars for Caleb and 3 for the food. read more

Awful service, sub par food and a waitress that couldn't care less and couldn't be bothered to check on us. We went here around dinner time, got sat next to the server station right next to the door, tucked away in the corner, even though there were plenty of spots open next to the windows. Our waitress came around after a few minutes and took our drink order and after 10 minutes when she came back with them we put in our food order. I ordered a cup of venison chili ($6.50) and my wife ordered some wings. I couldn't tell if my chili was venison or not, it was ground up and really salty. I had to cover it with hot sauce just to bear it. My wife's chicken wings were covered in sauce, I mean like drowning and soggy. When we mentioned these things after waiting for our waitress for at least 25-30 minutes (she never came back until I raised my hands and started waiving at her) she acted like she could care less and says, "do you wanna talk to the manager?" Ugh. Chicken wings, cup(not bowl) of venison chili and 2 beers were around 33 bucks. read more

This place was pretty bad. We expected a wait coming to dinner around 6...they said an hour and half but it was only an hour. However, it took over 15 to have a waitress come to our table. When we went to order two of the meals "they were out" of. 45 minutes till our food arrived, one entree was wrong and needed to be sent back. She did give us our check when we snagged her but then we had to flag her down to pay, 10 minutes later...she then took out payment to the wrong table. Food was very disappointing. Please do not order the ribs - especially dry... there was no rub, or anything. Terrible. Service was absolutely awful. We gave the waitress our credit cards to split down the middle, without any complex instructions. She disappeared for 30+ minutes with our cards. Multiple servers and the manager had to search the mountain for her. Eventually, the server was located... But no explanation, apology, or discount was given. I think she was getting high. This place is at snowshoe ski place so it was packed and we had to wait for awhile, and they didn't open 1/3 of the place, but the staffs are very friendly. I have to say that I've eaten here a few times. Somehow, I keep going back despite the fact that I'm never really happy. I took my wife here for her birthday since we wanted to spend the weekend skiing. Where to start... my french onion soup was OK, but just OK The broth is too thick and the cheese was not very well melted Like I said, OK. The mac and cheese was advertised as having a nice blend of cheeses, finished with panko Well, mine had no panko and was room temperature. $15 for cold mac and cheese. I asked the server about the panko. He said he would check. Never saw him again. I told the waiter and he did go get me a new disk, or maybe he just nuked the one I had. It was hot, but was way over cooked, had no panko, and would have been nice if had a baked finish. Meh. My wife ordered the apple waffle pie a-la-mode. No ice cream. And it looked like it was left on the warming counter for 15 minutes. It was a soggy mess. The whipped cream was completely melted. Looked like an apple pie threw up on the waffle. And the waffle was not crisp on the edges, nor particularly warm. I think I'll make an effort to remember how incredibly mediocre this place is - at resort prices, and never go back again. read more

First of all we love our server Seth! He was so good the first day we asked for him when we went back the second day. On to the food. We had three people in our party and we all had excellent experiences with our food. I had the crispy seared salmon the very first night and it was DELICIOUS! My husband ordered the New York Strip and was very happy with it. Our friend ordered the Venison chilli and she too really enjoyed her meal. We had such a good experience we went back the next day! This time I had the Chicken Cobbler, my husband had the burger and our friend the gumbo. Once again we were all delighted with our food. This is definitely our go to restaurant the next time we come back to Snowshoe! read more

The Junction is a great place to eat. The location and window views are nice as well. I wish their menu had a few more options, but what they have is delicious. The prices are reasonable and the waiters are very friendly and casual. All of the ingredients appear to be very fresh. I would definitely recommend the Junction burger! read more

The food was great. Can't complain. But the server that took care of us was horrible. He was rude from the first moment. When we were all done with our meals we wanted a dessert but he didn't even ask us if we wanted anything else, so I went to ask for him so we can get out dessert and the supervisor cane up. She was even ruder. When the guy came to ask us for dessert at the end, after I had gone to ask for him, he asked me just like this "what's you want?". At this point I was like I don't want anything else bring me the check. As I was walking out I saw the supervisor again and I told her that I had never had a more unpleasant experience and she said very rudely "ok the dessert is in the house" and I told her how the guys came up to us and how he talked to us and she was like "well sorry". We went to eat here on a Saturday night. There was a small wait. We asked to sit at a high top table and were told it would be 10 mins. A party came in after us and got seated at a high top table before us. We then got seated at regular table in the dining room. When we ordered we were told that our burger could not be cooked medium rare and "the best they could do is medium". When the food came out, the burger was well done. The salad that was a quinoa salad had no quinoa on it. Our server never mentioned anything about the quinoa missing. When I asked, he said he would bring out a side of quinoa. He then returned to tell us that they were all out of quinoa. We then ordered a second $11.33 beverage and it was gross and watered down. When our bill came, we were expected to pay full price for everything including the salad that was missing the main protein. UNBELIEVABLE! read more

We ate here twice during our stay. The biscuits and gravy had a Fluffy biscuit and good down home sausage gravy. We went back for dinner and had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy and mac and cheese topped with pulled pork bbq. The meatloaf flavor was great and the potatoes with gravy were pretty good too. The Mac and cheese, however, was very dried out. Not a saucy cheese sauce at all. The pulled pork was good but I had to ask for extra sauce to give the dish some moisture. Service was good at the bar and table service was good as well. read more

We made the mistake of going to Snowshoe during MLK weekend. Every restaurant had at least 60-90 minute wait. We checked every restaurant and this had the shortest wait (barely) so we ended up here. We lucked out and got two seats at a bar (two others in our party had to stand). As the night went on we all got seats. The food is sort of American BBQ and actually pretty good. I had a special baked fish platter that was delicious. Our friends loved their BBQ. All washed down by great local beers served in Mason jars. Not sure why others complained about the service; we found everyone to be fantastic. The bartenders were super friendly as was the nice hostess. We'll be back if we ever go back to Snowshoe...but NOT on a holiday weekend. read more

Incredibly the most mediocre place ever. Not sure why management doesn't just put a little effort and improve the menu, food and service.

Do not get the cheesesteak, it is gross. It's covered in nacho cheese sauce and the meat looks microwaved. Also, the Mac and cheese lacks flavor. The wings were cold. The cheese fries are covered with nacho cheese as well. The beer and water were the only thing worth consuming. The ranch dressing was pretty ok too. I would recommend eating elsewhere. This is a toss up between two and three for me. Food is portioned so price makes sense and food is mostly good. Down side, everytime I go here they are out if something: a major menu item, popular beer, whatever or they are not yet serving dinner nut are open. Close between lunch and dinner if you dont want to serve a menu all day and for as much business as they do, no excuse to always be out of something. Keep staying hopeful, but find we visit other places more and more often. read more

We arrived at 10:35am hoping for a delicious breakfast (which was advertised until 11am). We were informed upon being seated that they were no longer serving breakfast. We said that was fine (although we were severely disappointed) and sat down with lunch menus. Once our server came to the table he informed us that we couldn't even order lunch until after 11. So they have a 30 minute period that they don't serve food at all (has anyone ever heard of that before!?). Meanwhile we got a drink, and watched and smelled all the delicious breakfast food being served and enjoyed around us. Mind you these orders were placed 5 minutes prior to our arrival. Absolutely ridiculous. Definitely would not recommend. We had our drink and went elsewhere to enjoy lunch. read more

We have been coming here for four years. It has consistently dropped in food quality year after year. We tried breakfast this time. Pancakes didn't taste like pancakes. Eggs where fine. Took thirty minutes to serve by that time three kids took off. Coffee was fine. Steak with eggs was tuff and overcooked. read more

Out of all the main restaurants, in the village, this was our favorite. Thanks to Nina, our anniversary dinner was perfect. Although, I was expecting to pay a ridiculous resort level tab for wine, liquor, and a full dinner, the price was much lower than I expected. We decided to eat here one night while at the resort because the menu online sounded tasty. First of all the menu they had online is completely different from the one in the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were told by the host that there would be a short 15 minute wait which turned into a long 30 minute wait. Two groups that came in after us were also seated before us as well. This was frustrating considering we were standing there waiting the whole time. After we were seated finally, we decided to order a couple of drinks. I got a margarita which was only $6 but it tasted like there was a gallon of sweet and sour in it with a splash of bad tequila. My friend got the Golden Delicious craft cocktail which tasted like a watered down apple lollipop with no really good flavor. After the disappointing drinks, I ordered the salmon sandwich with a "power salad" as the side (because I was trying to be a healthy person) and my friend ordered the Brisket Mac and Cheese. I tried to order the crab cake sandwich because it sounded solid but they were out of crab cakes...of course. They also charge extra for typical toppings on all of their sandwiches (lettuce, tomato, pickles etc.). I didn't get any add-ons so my sandwich came out as a piece of salmon between two slices of bread with some tartar sauce on the bun. The supposedly "power salad" that came with my entree was some spring mix salad out of the bag shoved in a cup with cucumber, radish, and tomatoes. All of which were undressed. The Mac n Cheese was descent at least. Then came the bill...my sandwich and "power salad" was $20, the Mac n Cheese was $15, the "craft" cocktail was a whopping $14. Completely overpriced and subpar food and drinks. Needless to say, stay away. read more

Wait for two was 35-45 minutes. We had the chicken parmesan and the shay burger with fries. We also ordered an appetizer of fried pickles that were supposed to be chips and was spears. We recieved the fried pickles AFTER we recieved our meal which was ridiculous. I told our server to cancel them once we got our food no need for an appetizer then and they still brought them and charged us for them. My chicken parmesan had an entire bowl of water from the noodles but other than that the chicken and sauce was good minus the water. We asked for ranch for the pickles and barbecue for the shay burger and never recieved any of it. We got our original drinks and never got a refill. Paid $8.00 for a draft beer that was skunked. Overall the food was good but the service was TERRIBLE. I honestly have ate at this place for the past 4 years and I'm not sure that I will be back. read more

There is so limited choice for restaurant in Snowshoe area. This restaurant is more like a bar for people to hang out (they do have beers), so don't expect the food much... Their steak is the saltiest thing I ever had in my life, making me want to throw up. You can not complain the overpriced menu, since this is common for resort area. They claim that "their system can not split the bills correctly on the same table"; so if people on the same table want to pay with their credit cards separately, all the check will have the same amount of bill though they ordered different things... read more

Had a great meal there tonight. Tasty appetizer of potato skins, good IPA ale, loved the shrimp and ham pasta, fried goat cheese, chicken cobbler, venison chili. The waiter was personable, service was fast. We requested 3 songs and the friendly DJ played them all so we got up and danced.
