Then the city negotiated a new contract, and we got beautiful new cans. The city still pays, but everything must fit in the cans. But I digress. Sanitation services here are all handled by private companies. I was quite horrified by the prices given by some companies. Okay, my actual reaction was along the lines of, "You must be joking." Sadly, they were NOT joking. Then I called Go Green. I did get the crabby lady. Not impressed. Did not get warm fuzzies. Called Winters. Ack! They must think that EVERYONE has hedge fund money. Ridiculous. Called Go Green again. Got a charming, sweet, young person. And they're half the price of Winters! I didn't opt for the garage pickup. I'm not lazy. They said they would deliver my trash can on Saturday, but it did not arrive. I called on Monday. The driver had had some personal stuff on Saturday. But I did get my can later that day, so yay! They do have some rather strict rules, but also laxity regarding separating recycling. They do it for you. They will occasionally pick up an extra can, like after a party, but if you do that regularly, it's another $10 or $20 a month. I forget. You can order an extra can for $10 or $20 a month. Not sure which. Lone Tree gave us two cans *sob* Well anyway. I'm very happy with Go Green so far. I *could* go to the dump, but ewww. I don't have a truck, and don't want stinky garbage in my car. This is the way.

I gave them a credit card, that I asked them not to charge while I was waiting for my job to pay me, I even gave them my debit card number. they lied to me to tell me they would give me a call before the charge which I never received, then the refund took over two weeks! they then had a change in leadership, and the new manager calls me for a past due claiming there was no payment information when I had given them my debit card over 5 times to confirm and check. in addition I made several attempts in person to settle my account and they claimed they would not accept cash or check. Now they overcharge my account and made excuses that it was my bank when it's their billing system, I tried to give them feedback that the customer is always right and they shouldn't be telling people to call their banks when it's them. They claim they have no control over their billing system and that the customer is never right! the nerve! I wish I never signed up with them but now I'm stuck in this one year contract which I never received any notice or information about. they are full of lies and excuses!

I live on a narrow private dirt road that is kind of tight, but have had dumpsters delivered here before, over the years. They sent someone named Stu to eyeball my road beforehand and when he called back later, refused to deliver here citing that he needs 35 feet ( whatever that means), could damage his trucks, a lowish hanging power wire bothered him, too BUT he could send a smaller different type of unit that was more expensive and no door. (makes perfect sense) I then called my regular trash service, National Waste Services in Bayshore. When i started to explain my road situation, they said ''don't worry, we'll figure it out''. The dumpster arrived this morn. There was some maneuvering involved but one man managed the whole thing by himself. Very friendly and efficiently and even managed to not ruin his truck or electrocute himself. So, to anyone in a similar situation as me, call Stu at Nordic if you'd like their rule book read to you over the phone...Call National Waste Services if you want the dumpster. Guess that's the difference between a company that doesn't need your business and one that does.

He took full responsibility and apologized. We even had to call the police because the power lines were laying on the main road. We then called the manager Stu Fuhlbrugge who claimed that it was our fault because the wires were low. The thing is, this was the second dumpster we had rented and the first one was picked up without any damage to my power lines. We had to hire an electrician to fix the electrical connection into my house. Stu promised to pay some of those costs. When we presented the heft bill - $3000, he shrugged it off and said that he wasn't going to pay for it and he had never agreed to us that. He had prior claimed that Norsic was a good company and in the area for 89 years and that they honored their commitments. Well, I never saw any evidence of that. This is why companies have liability insurance - to pay for such accidents. I now have to deal with this extra electrical cost. My contractor was very disappointed (after working with them for years). He has decided to never work with them again. Norsic may have the most dumpsters in the area but they also have the worst customer service and severely lack business responsibility. You know what to do - stay away. There are enough other dumpster companies who'd bend over backwards to have your business.

Absolutely And Totally " BRILLIANT ! " This Company was…read more founded by two brothers named " Scott and Matt " , and they are very hardworking American. men ! The reason I'm bringing this up is simple. I'm English, with an English accent , and many people nowadays actually ask me what language I'm speaking, because they don't understand anything I'm saying, nor I them . With all the stress you have moving , you need to understand each other, especially if your objects are very precious to you , to how your articles should be handled, to asking them if they'd care for lunch, or if they'd just like a Margaritas . My moving men were Mike and C-Lo. WOW ! These lads knew what they were doing ! It was incredible ! Over 10 hrs they worked , and I mean WORKED, only taking 1/2 hr for lunch . I said they could take longer, but 30 minutes to the dot they were back on the clock . I paid for their lunch, which was not requested , but I insisted. It was the leas quite amazing how much junk one has, isn't it? Its amazing how much Junk you still wish to keep isn't it ! Mike and C-Lo packed, sorted, put Labels on everything, , then " Bubble wrapped all the " fine China, pictures, antique clocks from Great Britain, right down to me beautiful dancing shoes, plus pots , pans and the microwave oven . Even me " old George Foreman grill " was tucked away neatly . Me " Cutie Bears" books were heavy , but watching C-Low and Mike it seemed like it was nothing at all to them . We chitchatted with them the whole time whilst they were moving , about baseball, to how much they loved their job, and how they truly liked working for Matt and Scott. There's a change for sure. The last movers I had were muttering away in some language I didn't understand , but I could tell they hated their job . Moving is an art , very few people can do it well ! Then from our old place to moving to the " new place" it was one flight up. NO lift ( elevator ) , and it's 10 PM. Mike and C-Low didn't complain , nor did they stop working. They unloaded everything, PLUS PUT THE BED BACK TOGETHER , because I , yes lazy ME, was tired and wanted to LAY down! C-Low had another job to do the next morning, but stayed with us until every single box was unloaded and accounted for . How their women put up with their hrs. I have no idea. The owners were on the phones in their Office, and could be relied on , if we needed them. We didn't ! Moving is one of the most exhausting, and mentally draining activities people have to go through in their lives. YOU NEED THE RIGHT MOVERS, and I found them! They should put on their trucks " We AIM to Really Please ; and We Always Really Do ! Your girlfriends and wives will be 100% satisfied with our work , as We RISE to each and every occasion. " They never asked for a tip, but I gave each of them a $50 .00 ( American dollars , not 50 British shillings ), and I didn't think that was enough, thee way they worked. Both C-Low and Mike were very thankful . I told them to take their girlfriends out , but being in New York ,Long Island it might just cover enough for their petrol ( gas) and a Guinness. I had called very few other moving companies, but when I heard Scotts voice, yes HE answered the phone, no recorded message, I knew I hit the jackpot. He came by the next day , on a Sunday for a free estimate of cost . They are licensed and Bonded and may I add, really cool and Cute. Well, Cheers and GOD bless to everyone who reads this .
