Didn't like any of the pet boarding places. My husband &I drove to Ft myers from North Port to check out Preppy Pet. From time we walked in, they met our girl, they fell in love with her, and she felt comfortable. Day of cruise we took her there she at first didn't understand why we were leaving her, but she did very well. When we picked her up wk later she was happy to see us. We had pictures of her being silly. They impressed me, the employees do love the dogs & my girl knew that she truly loved her. She is very laid back loves to sunbathe and she had a great time there. Yes we worried because we never leave her take her everywhere with us/she is a service dog/medical alert dog. So she's very intelligent. If she was unhappy I could tell but she was happy. I am picky of where we take her for boarding. I was very impressed by the whole place. She will be going there again dec 2025. Thank you Preppy Pet Ft Myers for taking care of our girl she's our little girl even if she weighs 84lbs she's precious very sweet girl.

Here's the quick story: we dropped off on a Saturday afternoon and said we'd come back on Sunday at 4 p.m. Their windows to pick up on Sunday are 10:00-10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.-4:30 p.m. by appointment only. So we agreed to pick up on Sunday at 4 p.m. with the employee on duty and the employee also agreed. We showed up on Sunday at 3:55 p.m. and waited until 4:15 p.m. No one was there and no one answered the door, which was locked. We called twice and left voicemails and we never received a phone call back. There was a sign on the door that said closed due to the Easter holiday. We picked up on Monday morning, the next day, at 7 a.m. and they charged us for the extra day, so total was $82 for the two days. They also charge $10-11 extra if you want "all day play." We asked why the employee said to come back at 4 p.m. to pick up on Sunday if they were going to be closed for the holiday and the response was, "didn't you see the sign?" They also keep all dogs in the back, and they don't allow anyone back there so no transparency which is very suspicious. I would not recommend this company and they've lost our business permanently. We will use another company going forward.

I was greeted by two lovely people, the owner and a new sales associate who took the time to go around and show me all the products they carried as well as ask about my Yorkies diet and health etc. They shared their personal experiences about "why" you may or may not want to feed your pet certain foods and also was happy to see the nutritional supplements with only the best ingredients for my pup available as well. 5 STARS to this store. Contrary to the other 1 star reviews, animals get and spread covid and other human pathogens, people still have not learned to be aware of their own personal hygiene, much less how dirty their pets are living on the ground 24/7 which is utter ignorance. Also if most non essential stores were closed during covid, are these really valid complaints? The store is charming, the staff are extremely knowledgeable about pet nutrition and frankly I brought my dog inside in a stroller because if pet stores, vets and kennels are loaded with pathogens so is any place people bring their pets and think they should run free and swap cooties. NO Thanks! We had a wonderful experience, my dog loves her food and fresh baked cookies (no wheat, gluten, sugar, salt options) and I will be a returning customer and ALSO get my own fresh baked "to go" items next time, which I thought was a great additional service. Ft. Myers is lucky to have such evolved and enlightened people working for the benefit of the silent, innocent and dependent animal community. BRAVO!

What a caring vet! The entire staff is wonderful and, based on prior vet visits elsewhere, I found…read morethem to be less costly. No current, state-of-the art, vet and facility will be cheap, but I prefer educated and well armed to take care of my pets over $$$. They were very helpful when I filed my pet insurance (trupanuon) too, which covered almost all of my pets vet bills. Cannot day enough good things about this vet!

This review is based om my second visit to this office. My first visit cost over $400.00 for a…read moreroutine check and shots, which included: weight,a stool & urine sample. No results were provided regarding levels. Because our pet had a slight limp an x-ray was taken and based on that alone surgery was suggested. This limp is a result f a Soft Tissue injury that would have been diagnosed correctly with an MRI or CT scan. Medications where prescribe and then dispensed by Dr Laura Jones' office to assist our pet with her limp ( we used these recommended medications through the entire course of treatment recommended with no difference in the dogs activity or pain level). Then we where given a bill for $400.00 to our HUGE suprise. Our 2nd visit was for boarding while away for the Thanksgiving holiday. We where informed that the fee would be $21.00 per night, which would have come to about $63.00 for 3 nights boarding. However, we returned after only two nights and was surprized to be given a bill for $136.00. We where informed it was for treaments which they provide to all pets they board. Also the "nightly" boading fee turned in to a "daily" fee. When we asked why the additonal charges, we where informed that it is their standered policy to perform the services and that all extra fess must be paid before they would release our pet. If we wished to dispute the extra fees we would have to wait until Dr. Luara Jones returned 3 days later, we could request a credit for services we didn't request or agreed with at that time, but if we would like to get our pet, the entire bill would have to be paid IN FULL. If not they would keep our pet hostage as well as charge us for the additional days our pet was there. I advise anyone looking for a vet, "DO NOT for any reason" go here unless you have a very OPEN WALLET. This Vet and her staff will gouge you for whatever they feel is OK without your permission or consent. Be Cautious...VERY Cautious! Make sure you know every charge they have a possibility they could charge for a simple overnight boarding of your pet.
