The Barker Lounge is top tier! They have a great, clean atmosphere and a cool vibe. You can tell the employees truly love the dogs. My pup (2 y.o. BEWARE: Heartbreaking Experience at The Barker Lounge Fort Myers I boarded my dog at The Barker Lounge in Fort Myers from 8/28 to 9/2. I had used them before without any issues, but this time was a nightmare. When I picked her up, she was limping. At first, I thought she might just be stiff or shy from being away. But once I got her home, I found scabs on all four of her paws. This was extremely upsetting -- I check my dog thoroughly before drop-off, and she was completely healthy when I left her there. I called to speak with the owner, hoping for concern or at least accountability. Instead, she told me it might be from "allergies" or something unrelated -- with zero proof and no responsibility taken. When I reminded her that my dog was fine at drop-off, she dismissed it and showed no empathy whatsoever. She also refused to accommodate me in any way for the cost I paid. This experience was not only physically harmful to my dog but also emotionally upsetting. The lack of care and accountability is unacceptable. read more

Dink LOVES it there and comes back from a day of play or a week of boarding happy and healthy and always pulling me into the door to return! Also, grooming was fantastic too. It took us a whIle to get in and have her initial puppy date. This place is clean staff is friendly and I knew my dog was in a safe place. They have indoor and outdoor activities and outdoor is covered also so not direct sun. They have cameras and staff has walky-talkies to communicate. All I wanted was a grooming. On their website they say in order to book a grooming you need to sign their legal contract. Um okay. This contract is ridiculous, it states they could break your dogs legs, maim them, destroy their eyesight, psychologically abuse your dog, and they would not be liable. Also, they're stating they can take pictures of your dog and YOU while you're in the store, and use it for their own marketing purposes. F this place, I'd never give up my rights to my own image just to get my dog groomed, and I'd never bring my animal to a facility that takes no responsibility for the health and well being of the pets that are there. read more

We love the barker lounge! Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and communicates effectively. Both dogs are pumped going to daycare/boarding and come home exhausted. Staff posts pictures all day on social media and you receive the cutest email "from your pup" while you're away. All dogs are evaluated on temperament and group sizes are capped to prevent overstimulation. We recommend the barker lounge to everyone and are so happy we found this business! read more

My pup loves this place. He is so excited when we gets there and is so happy at pick up. He loves this place so much. Make sure you are proactive in reserving slots because it is a very popular place. Staff is great. Facility is great. After picking up my dog he is usually full of energy but quickly passes out because he's been having so much fun playing with the other dogs. He just did his first couple of nights boarding there and he seemed to really enjoy it. He sent me an email saying how much fun he was having! The staff gave us a card with a recap of his time there. We love the Barker Lounge (Sunny tells me by coming home really tired). The staff is friendly and instantly makes you feel comfortable leaving your pup with them. My two dogs were there for a week. One of dogsp was suppose to get a bath and a brush because he is long and fluffy and I keep him maintained properly and regularly. Well after driving 12 hours back home to get them. My dog comes back matted/pelted. He was suppose to be a bath and a brush and they completely neglected him. And now he has to be shaven when we've worked very hard to keep his coat nice and fluffy. The woman on the phone said I QOUTE "I HONESTLY DONT KNOW IF THEY DID IT". Like EXCUSE ME? You charged me for it and my pet didn't receive the service i payed for? CHARGED ME FOR IT! AND NOT ONLY THAT BUT MY OTHER PUPS PAWS HAVE SECOND DEGREE BURNS AND BLISTERS. SO NOW I HAVE TO SPEND MORE MONEY TO FIX WHAT YOU GUYS COULDVE PREVENTED IF YOUD DONE YOUR JOB RIGHT AND ACTUALLY TAKEN CARE OF THE PETS STAYING THERE. TERRIBLE PLACE.. Will not be coming back and i will be sending a report to the BBB about the neglect of the animals esp the neglect on my pets. 500$ for fucking what, neglect & a vet bill. Bullshit. read more

Barker Lounge Fort Myers, FL My dog, Tucker, goes to Barker Lounge for day care and overnight boarding on occasion. It is a great place and he loves it. I used them for the first time in early March for grooming and must give the groomer an excellent review. She asked me how I wanted him cut and I told her like a teddy bear not a poodle. She is the first groomer that gave him that look and we are are so pleased at the job she did. I've had 4 pugs through the years & was always weary about sending them to Daycare. When I got my recent Pug I decided to try Daycare... Ruby has been going to Barker Lounge for a few years now . She loves it ! The people are wonderful. Very patient w not only the dogs but "helicopter " owners as well . I'm never worried when Ruby is at daycare... Guys, I'm pooped!! Mom let me stay here for a long weekend while she and dad went to Key West. I'm not mad, because this place is SO.MUCH.FUN. I came here for one day for a meet and greet day a few weeks ago which was super fun. I love it here-there are a bunch of different areas for doggies to play and they put us in groups so we have friends to play with. I got my own little room to sleep in once playtime was over after we ate and went potty, and the next day we got to do it again! Mom said they sent her an email while they were gone with an update 2 days into her trip with a few pictures of me smiling and playing, and that made her feel a lot better :D Also when dad came to pick me up they gave him my report card with how I did and who I played with. Usually there aren't a lot of Westies around, but we had a gang of three! It was so much fun! Mom said I can come back here next time they leave to go on a trip, especially since it's so close to home :D I can't wait to come back! Now time for a nap... read more

We took our 11 yr old Shichon in for the first time for a full groom. It had been a while since he'd been groomed so it was going to be more of a challenge. I don't leave reviews very often but this place is great! I bring my dog here a few times a week. He is so excited in the morning when he realizes he is going to doggy daycare and when I pick him up he is exhausted from having so much fun all day. The staff is super friendly and even know my dog's name when I come in. The facility is VERY clean. They even have a doggy spa service if yo want your dog to get cleaned up before you pick them up. This is my dogs first week and I'm already so impressed by the barker lounge! Ellie loves it! They are so organized and even have play groups color coded. I've been taking my dog to the Barker Lounge for the past two or three weeks I have gotten at least three phone calls about him being a problem. Every time they'd call me they would change their story. One would call me & tell me one thing then the next person would say to me "no it's not that it's this". The problem as I see it is that they do not know what they're doing. Any good dog trainer could have alleviated the issues that they said there were or else they are putting him in the wrong situation. I visited several dog boarding/day care places before coming to visit The Barker Lounge. I stopped in unannounced and asked for a tour. I was taken to the back right away and found that the area where dogs play and sleep was super clean. The owner has a schedule for the dogs and they are separated into groups based on temperament. I always feel a sense of peace leaving my dogs at The Barker Lounge. I know that they take care of my dogs as if they were their own. read more

My dog Gus loves it when he gets to go to The Barker Lounge because he gets the chance to play with the other friendly dogs there. When you go to pick up your dog they have a filled out report of how you dog was during his or her stay. This building is very cute and decorated with inviting colors and paintings. For us humans the have a couch and TV set up as well as a Keurig and free cups that you can take home! All workers are very nice and friendly and just enjoy hanging out with the dogs. The Barker Lounge is awesome! Our dog loves playing here any time we are gone for the day. They do a great job of making sure your pooch is comfortable and can hang with similar friends in a play group, frolicking around the various amenities in, out, and poolside at the facility. It's truly a VIP lounge for your dog. The staff is phenomenal and they even post updates on Instagram and emails. I love the convenience of being able to book a spot in advance online when I know we'll need them. We've also used their grooming services and our pup has come home sparkling clean and smelling great with a bow on the collar and smiles ear to ear. read more
