Scheduled an appointment with Linda. Asked if she would be comfortable going off a video and watching it while cutting my hair. She agreed. Drove to appointment. I drove an hour. 30 minutes away she messaged and told me she was sick and couldn't cut it that day She said her boss could cut it. I asked if her boss was comfortable going off the video like we agreed. She confirmed she was. I showed up to the appointment. I was told Alyssa would be cutting my hair. I sat down. I told her what Linda and I had discussed and confirmed with her that she was comfortable going off the video. She said she was. She starts cutting my hair without washing it. I asked her if she was going to wash it. She said yes. She then washed it. As she was blow drying my wet hair with a curling brush I asked if she was going to cut and section it like the video. She said she was going to do that and then continued to blow dry my hair. She dries a good portion of my hair, but not all of it. She began making statements indicating she was not comfortable with the watching the video and doing the haircut based off the video. She asked if I was doing okay. I told her no and told her she was saying things that indicate she isn't going to be going off the video. She asked me if I wanted to leave. I told her if she wasn't going to cut it how it was agreed then yes I wanted to leave. She did not offer to finish drying or style my hair. She took off my cape, left my hair partially wet and unstyled. She walked to the front with me and demanded I make full payment. I told her I would pay for the wash as that's the only services she fully completed. She refused payment for the wash and told me she had my contact information. She told me I was free to leave. She called the Santa Rosa County Sheriff Department and they called my boyfriend and myself several times. They contacted Okaloosa and had them show up at my house. The police called my boyfriend and myself and they told me if I didn't pay what she asked then she would press charges and they would issue a warrant and arrest me. To avoid being arrested I wrote a check for $50 and dropped it off at her salon. Pictures of what it was suppose to look like versus what it looks like. This place is trendy and welcoming! I made an appointment over the phone, which was easy. I got my haircut with my 2 girls. We all love our hair! Alyssa was easy to talk to and made my 7 and 12 year old very comfortable. Price for my 2 girls' cut was $25 together and mine was $35. I'm going back tomorrow for highlights! Need a good stylist? August 25th, 2022. Hailey did such a great job on my hair! She was attentive from the moment, I called her and was able to get me in on the same day I called! Before I even arrived, she text me and asked for pictures of my hair and inspiration pictures of what I wanted. She NAILED it! My hair looked just like the first picture I sent her! If I had a critique, it might be that I wanted "money pieces" in the front and I didn't quite get that but I'm honestly fine with it because it turned out so great! I also had some dye that got on my forehead, which is to be expected, but still a bit difficult to get off. Those are knit picky things though. horrible, i called my sylist to let her know that i had strands of grey hair on my roots , left message no return call. called the salon the next day left message for her to call me back never got return call. third call, talked with her, said we didn't talk about my roots, not the point! you would think she would want to come up with a solution to make the customer/ client happy. she had no problem when i asked her what color she used , never once did she say come back in so we can make this right. first and last time ever to go here! and you would think the owner would call. poor customer service. had to leave 1 star to leave my review read more

My stylist Kianna toned, layered, blew dried and straightened my hair for only $67 (excluding tip). She was also very sweet and told me of many lunch and coffee places nearby! Morgan cut my hair after spending time talking to me about my needs & expectations. She paid attention to everything I told her about my p.i.t.a. hair and worked her magic! Really lovely salon. I went in for a haircut. Autumn was very friendly and thorough. And I loved the cut - for about an hour. The Kat House has an awesome policy about that, so I went back and wasn't charged a cent to get the cut exactly the way I wanted. I was very comfortable and very pleased with the end result. I LOVE my hair and this is definitely my new local go-to for beautification! Bonus: the sinks are newer and more comfortable than most for washing hair. Very disappointed. Been getting color & cuts for one-year, by the third visit color was finally spot on. Went in before Thanksgiving, came out too brassy, went back in a few days later to fix and left still looking like a copper top battery AND had to pay another $50 for formula and looks worse. I even provided instructions from my former hairdresser out of state and was told "I wouldn't like that"??? Owner never called back when I left a message. Brought my daughter here for an updo, it came out cute, but the hairstylist was rushing it was done in probably 35 mins my daughter said she was very rough. I think a little more effort could have been put into it & wayyyyy overpriced for an updo esp with someone who doesn't have long hair! Great atmosphere tho & very clean! I give 5 stars to Jessica! I have been contemplating going from long to short hair for about the past month and today was the day! I walked into the salon with no appt and took a chance that someone would be available. Well, I was lucky enough to get Brittany. I showed her a couple pics, we talked about the shape of my face and the texture of my hair. Fyi kianna at the kat house in navarre is amazing, I went to mirror mirror salon 6 weeks ago and saw jess (who now no longer works there I guess and now works at Doria Grace Salon in Fwb, i normally dye my own hair and trust me I'm mad I didnt) and she messed up my hair and cost me a lot of money which I'm really upset about, and told me I had to dye my red hair dark brown to get the red out which I learned today is bs. Anyways I went to another salon and the girl told me she couldn't remove my pink, and that she couldn't do what i wanted, obviously i left and i went to the kat house and kianna, gave me a million options on how to help me, it took a long time and wasnt cheap I wont lie, but it looks absolutely so good, I can't wait to see it in the sun light but right now it looks so amazing. Shes so sweet and so personable, makes wonderful conversation, and really takes her time. If you are looking for someone who cares go see her for sure!! read more

On first impression, the place is clean and cute on the inside. I went to the nail place next door for an eyebrow wax and they had a long wait. They suggested I try next door. Upon walking in, there was a bridal shower of 4 or 5 and they were having a good time getting dolled up. There was only one stylist there (don't recall her name but she was blonde). I could tell she was rushed/flustered. I asked if she had the time for eyebrow wax, just a clean up and she said "Sure!". Very friendly. The wax was cold so she turn on, waited about 3 minutes and began smearing the cold-yet-not-so-soft wax on my brows. When she was finished, no mirror was provided, but I still felt wax on my lids. Paid her $18, got to my car, pulled down the car mirror to find my lids were gone! So much wax was left on my eyes they glued my lids wide open and the stray brow hairs were still there! I had sprigs of missed hair and she took a chunk too much off one side (I have to color it in). So I ended up going home, removing wax, plucking my brows and looking jacked for a couple weeks. They may do fantastic work on heads, but pass on the brows. Lesson learned. read more

I went to see Mel today for the first time after giving my old hair stylist one too many chances on getting my chances to get my hair right and ending up with crazy hair. I saw Mel and she really spent time on getting to know what I was looking for in both the color and cut I wanted. She was able to talk me through what would work best with my hairs current state. It ended turning out great and just what I was wanting! The Only reason I did not got The Kat House 5 stars is because when I walked in, there where two stylists who could not be bothered with even acknowledging that someone walked through the door. They where more interested in whatever they where talking about than making sure that their paying costumers felt welcomed. Finally when one of them noticed that I was standing there for a while, she was a little short with me and could barely hold a simple conversation to figure out who I was there to see.
