Ordering online was super easy as their website is simple to use. And yes, the complimentary bread is included! (Just make sure you select "yes" when you order.) I got the 8oz top sirloin, medium rare and it was so tender and juicy. I chose the twice-baked potato and it came with some veggies on the side. If you're ordering steak, I highly recommend adding the blue cheese crust for $4, it's totally worth it and pairs perfectly. For dessert, I went with the Billy miner pie. It's mocha-flavored ice cream on a chocolate crust, topped with sliced almonds, chocolate, and caramel sauce. It's sweet and delicious. Location: Great spot parking is in abundance and it's attached to fairview mall. Service: Splendid! Shoutout to Our waitress Emma she was very sweet and attentive ! She's a GEM! It was amazing to go back to the whole dining experience, especially with a place like the keg. The most important aspect of this experience was the staff, they were simply amazingly welcoming, caring and certainly friendly but most importantly they were patient as we need the vaccine passport and they assisted us in getting via the app (we tried before but it wasn't working) and luckily it works at the entrance of the restaurant. Now let us talk about the food, overall, it was good, but I think there is room for improvement on the kitchen side especially with the price tag that the dishes come with. Don't get me wrong, it was a very positive experience where mistakes were acknowledged, and corrective action was offered and in some aspects were taken. So yes, I will be back again to the keg maybe in a month or 2 when the whole out of the Covid-19 dusting is over and things normalizedish. read more

This was a revisit after an absence of around 6-7 years. The food is better, but it was still not properly cooked, and not as tender as other rib steaks I had in many other restaurants. My rib steak was actually not burned this time, but unlike any good rib steak I've had elsewhere, it was thinner and obviously not tenderized or marinated that much. However, it tasted fairly good, but more like an amateur cook's rib steak than a professional chef's. My father's filet mignon was a bit burned on the outside again, though it was delicious, yet a bit too pink inside for a medium well-done. We also ordered dessert which was good but over-priced. Without any drinks at all other than water nor appetizers, we paid $165! The prices are again exuberant and do NOT reflect a good quality steak bar. The service however, was very good and attentive. The waiter was very professional and helpful in answering any questions. We were told that the sirloin steaks were much more tender, and other dishes looked pretty good too. However, we will hesitate to go back due to the excessive costs and average quality. The ambiance is dark and fairly simple. No fancy paintings nor colourful stuff on the walls. read more

It came with salted fried mushrooms ( to salted), ceasar salad ( tasted dry), I ordered extra gravy for mashed potatoes (was not on menu, but waiter brought it). My manager and I were in town for business and decided to go to The Keg for dinner since it was near our hotel. It was a Wednesday night and surprisingly, pretty crowded. We put our names on the waitlist and waited for about 10 minutes or so and then were seated. The server was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. She mentioned that she was from the US, so we all bonded over that briefly. We had drinks/wine and ordered our entrees. We ordered the tuna tartare and calamari as appetizers, and both were absolutely delicious! I ordered the 7 oz. filet mignon, which was bacon-wrapped, and the twice-baked potato and a Caesar salad for my main course. Y'all...this was the best filet I've ever had! The bacon really gave it good flavor although I didn't eat the actual bacon, and the potato and salad were equally good. The sautéed mushrooms, peppers, and green beans that came with the meal were also really good. This was an amazing dining experience from the food to the service to the ambience. Visited Pointe Claire recently for work at a major aviation manufacturer. Searched for the best restaurants in the area and consistently the Keg was rated the highest with the best reviews. My research was strengthened when work colleagues gave a glowing review of having gone the previous night. They raved about the service and food and they were right. The Keg was convenient to our hotel and we lucked out with good parking. We worried as everyone told us we needed a reservation but we just beat the rush and were able to walk in with no worry. Having been our first visit to this popular Canadian chain, we put heavy stock in the recommendations of their servers. Our server was perfect, honest and gave really great menu advice. I went with the Sirloin Oscar. It's an 8oz sirloin cut served with shrimp, scallops, asparagus, and Béarnaise sauce, at ($37 CDN / October 2018). Pricey yes, but a great portion and worth every penny. We enjoyed a great Cabernet, and a small sample of their mini desserts. The restaurant was extremely busy and filled up with a long wait after we were seated. It was a mix of business groups holding 30-person events and many many birthdays. It seemed as if everyone was walking in with flowers and gifts to celebrate at this special place. Huge thanks to all the hostesses, servers, managers and heart of the house cook staff that made our first visit a very special one where we can't wait to return. It's so hard to believe that a chain can provide such quality experience, products and services and be consistent. Having finally visited I'm now not surprised at this brand's popularity. I haven't written a Yelp review in over a year, but my last visit at this Keg was one that needs to be shared. While the drinks and food were great as usual, I had to give lower my rating because the service was shocking. I wanted to only bring it down to a 3-star rating, but considering the level of inappropriateness that we witnessed, I had to go with a 2 star. Please note that my group and I were sitting in the bar area, which we acknowledge and respect can get quite busy. Regardless, the waitress would come by and try to take away our unfinished drinks so that we would order more. Oddly, trying to get their attention was very difficult especially when trying to get the bill. However, the real offender that forced me to write this review was how they handled sending us food we didn't order to our table. The waitress placed a plate of calamari at our large table, which some people slowly started to munch on. We were all sharing platters, and no one realized that no one ordered calamari. The waitress then came back and informed us that it was another table who ordered it and took it away. The problem is that she then took the partially eaten plate to the other table who ordered it. We were all in shock. Even if we knew one person at the other table, you do not take a partially eaten meal from one table to another. You bring them a new plate. This is why I had to bring down my rating from a four to a two. Whenever we organize a work 5a7 we go to the Keg, but after seeing such unsanitary behaviour we may have to reconsider our go-to place as it's hard to order food after witnessing that. We have had phenomenal times there before, so we may return, and hopefully, I will be able to change my rating. read more

Takeout during covid, not dine-in experience. Ordered two steaks and cheesecake desert. Steaks cooked to perfection, kept in thermo containers so warm upon arrival at home. Great idea. Ordered online for pickup -100% hassle free. My only negative comment-cheesecake was gross. Bottom crust felt as if it was straight brown sugar and not crackers. The filling itself was soft like fluff and bland taste. Honestly-definitely not worth the money. Small container of chopped strawberries...nope...psyche! This is a great chain of steakhouses. I've been to the one in Toronto and it was excellent. When I saw my hotel was close to here I had to go. First off the service is fantastic. From the check in to the waiter everything was great. Now on to the food I love the mushrooms Neptune they are very good for stuffed mushrooms. I didn't order them but saw many get the nachos and they looked amazing. I ordered the classic prime rib which comes with a salad and I ordered the wedge. I love dressing and a lot of it and it came with the right amount and was very good. The prime rib was cooked just how I ordered it medium rare and was so good. Ventured out Wednesday night for dinner with a close friend on the Keg terrace. Thrilled they were open and that we could eat outside. Tables were at least 6 feet apart and we felt safe. Friendly and welcoming hostess at the entrance... awesome and courteous service from our server Steven made it a wonderful choice for West Island dining. One of our dishes was not up to par (possibly the sudden change of wind & temperature cooled off our dinner quicker than expected), however, JP the manager took it upon himself to get us a piping hot replacement in record time. Short and to the point... The Keg serves up delicious food, all at a reasonable price considering the portion sizes. Add amazing service and this place is definitely a go-to. You can chose between the louder, more business-casual bar area or the regular dining area for a quieter evening. There is also an upstairs, which I think is for larger groups. There is something for everyone! Quick story... I ordered the rib steak, medium rare. It came more towards medium. The waiter noticed, without even being prompted and offered to replace it. The steak was still excellent, so I declined the offer. Instead, to our surprise, the waiter brought us a huge piece of mocha ice cream cake for dessert, as an apology for the inconvenience. That is a defining feature of a 5 star restaurant. read more
