The Keller Pointe - Swimming Pools Near Me - Keller, Texas

Rating is for the outdoor pool only. Keller point has several outdoor play areas but you'll have to be strategic of when you enter and the ages you are trying to entertain. Fridays 10-12pm is currently the toddler ( kids under 5) time and it's nice they keep all the waterworks off so kids can play and parents can see/hear easily. Toddler time is best for the littles, 1-3 year range, my near 5 year old has outgrown the small slide and "baby" area. There are two large slides that open during regular hours but the height requirement is 48" which kids tend to hit between 6-8 yrs old. For us, since my kid is about 5 there wasn't much more than swimming here to do but the lazy River and splash pad. We stayed about 2 hours. There is a good amount of shade on site, an aid station and bathrooms. Until my kiddo is tall enough for the slides there isn't a draw to return. The toddler hours are $10 per family, great price especially for large families, for me I'm paying $5 per person where a family of 4 or more is paying half that per person. Would be nice to equalized the payments to (example) $2 per kid rate to make pricing fair. I like the fenced in area with single entry and exit point. Overall nice place to spend a couple hours once in a while, you can bring a cooler and make a day of it, will return after a growth spurt- or two. read more

I live Keller and I love the Keller point. Ok just to preface my review: All Reviews are personal and based on an experience one day at time and please remember your experience will vary. I love the Keller point. I'm retired and to keep in shape i ride my bicycle over to the Keller Point which I live close too, I shadow Box to stay in shape for hour or so and after that I do some road work on the indoor track. I would be getting in better shape if I in any way adhered to my diet!!! However I treat my diet as if it's something less than a suggestion and just assume I will live forever because even God Knows I'm awesome!!! The Keller Point is always clean and the staff is always friendly. I like riding the plentiful stationary bikes and enjoying myself. I am because I'm retired able to go when it isn't crowded. So try it out and enjoy yourself. read more

We have been a member of this gym for a little over a year. We signed up for a family account, the price isn't bad, I believe it was about 99 a month. The issue is we figured it would be good for our whole family to be active. Our youngest love to swim our oldest love to play basketball and then we could get our workout on. Wellll the indoor pool has been closed for over a year and every time we have asked when it's going to be open they say a couple weeks. Well it's been a YEAR and that's the main reason we joined so our younger boys could be active by swimming and they have yet gotten to swim. The gym equipment is nice and the indoor track is great but we we can do any of that at the other gyms for a cheaper price. We will be canceling our membership soon. read more

Keller Pointe is just all around outstanding!! The pools and splash pads came in handy with this summer heat. The indoor pool area is such a great option for the days where it's just too hot to be outside even in the water and also when the kids weren't ready to stop playing but had enough sun. You can bring in your own food and the cost is so reasonable. I understand why it changes to only weekends once school starts but I wish it kept the pool areas open weekdays a bit longer for those of us who have kiddos under school age. This is a great alternative for me instead of paying the same for a gym membership. Keller Pointe has everything you need in terms of gym equipment and facilities and then some. Very spacious locker rooms and restrooms. Shower area is also spacious and clean. I was impressed with this, as most other places are lacking here. It's a huge bonus for me that they also offer indoor and outdoor pool, track, basketball and volleyball courts, and many classes. Also there is a Stay-N-Play for your little ones while you work out. My only complaint is it tends to get crowded, even on weekdays. A lot of older folks and seems like retirees come here during the week and almost all the treadmills, stationary bikes, and ellipticals are occupied with a few exceptions. So you may or may not end up waiting for a machine or need to adjust your routine according to what is available. The area clears up around lunch time. The bench/weights area usually less crowded. read more

I guess an update is in order, since I did join, though I was only a member for a year, last year. A couple years ago I was in need of more activity, and Thuy more or less insisted we join The Keller Pointe. We took advantage of a yearly promotion when some extra things (classes) are thrown in. I primarily went to use the indoor track. At certain times the track is quite pleasant. At other times, i.e. when groups of loud rowdy youths are using the basket/volleyball area, it's quite unpleasant (at least to me, as loud shrill voices are my stressors). If the stressors are not present, it's a great track, it's just I've found I like the outdoors (no matter the temperature) better. Note: The indoor track is right above the aforementioned ball courts, though not 100% above, there is some reprieve as you pass over the exercise equipment. Oh, and no idea how the re-model is going to affect this. The weight area is OK. Lots of cardio equipment, weight machines and free-weights. Most of the equipment was well maintained, though occasionally something was out of order, and it seemed to longer than necessary to be repaired. Lots of TVs that you can listen too with your own headsets. There is a headphone jack on the treadmills with a channel selector. I never used the pool. Also, improvements are coming, based on the construction I see along Rufe Snow. I have not checked prices recently, but I hope they have added a plan for CWNKs (Couples with no kids). When we joined the best deal was a family membership, which included as many kids as you claim as dependents. That did not favor our needs. Bottom line: I think my math theory (see previews review) panned out, as I personally did not get my moneys worth. I don't think Thuy ever went. read more

I enjoy working out there BUT ... They are Very Expensive! Plus.. They won't let anyone else in your family come in or be your guest unless they are under 24... even if they live with you. To Whom It May Concern, Why does the basketball court get the least attention? I have been a member of Keller Point Sports and Recreation Center for over 12 years now and I am an advent basketball player. I strictly play basketball early in the morning, Monday - Friday. I have watched as the support for the basketball court and players diminish over time. As you know the court is used for various activities; however, basketball seen to be the least of the center concerns. The lack of equipment and maintenance, speaking of basketballs and nets. The balls are all old and worn out and most of the nets have holes in them from normal wear. As far as maintenance the floor is probably clean once a quarter if that. Considering the amount of traffic and activities it probably should be clean at least weekly. Currently we have a basketball goal that is down and there are no signs of urgency in repairing it. Having 2 courts, it shouldn't be an issue, we could go play on the other court. But those goals are NOT at the right height, one end of the court goal is lower than the other. So, to have a fair game of play, it is not possible. Lastly, we asked the front counter the status of the court and they said they have no idea. Is it possible to get equal treatment as the other activities in the facility? Please let me know, because I have been a faithful supporter of Keller Pointe and if not, maybe I can do something else. Paid over $600 for the family membership December 27th. Worked out until they closed it mid March because of Covid. Requested my money back now that they have opened with restrictions due to the fact I have two immune compromised family members at home. Begrudgingly they agreed after 2nd request. But got less than $300 back! Crazy math they applied where they charged me $60 plus a month, charged me for the full month of December!, and then a $60 processing fee. So for 2 1/2 months, they charged me over a half years worth of a family membership. Certainly won't go back when all this is over. read more

This is my all time favorite gym. The pool is indoor and outdoor so can be used tear round. No matter how busy it is you can always use the weights. They keep it really clean, I always see the cleaning staff wiping down equipment. The kids club sticks to the rules(10 kids per person on duty) so it never looks like a mad house. Keller pointe their gym and workout room are wonderful but one time me and my daughter went to Keller pointe and we were going to play volley ball I did not think to bring anything so I just brought my kids well they told us that we needed to give them our phones so that we could get a volleyball first I do not trust any teenager or old man to watch my phone so we left it is a horrible place and I do not recommend. read more

I have a membership here and I'm not sure about 9 months-12 months ago when this place got some bad reviews but I think this place is excellent with friendly staff, all the equipment you need, very nice locker room and nice pool area for kids and families. I was really frustrated with the gyms in the area. They didn't have enough squat racks, they were filthy, or they just cost way too much. TKP doesn't seem to have these problems. The gym is clean, people actually wipe down equipment (there are plenty of cleaning stations, making it super easy), and even when the place is busy, it's easy to get the equipment you need by either working in or waiting a few minutes. Though it costs more as a non-resident, the cost is about on par with the Globo gym down the street. Staff is friendly and attentive. I wish the hours for the kids area were a bit longer so I could workout outside of busier hours, but it's cheap and my daughter always has a great time there! I also wish the weights were better organized, but you run into that everywhere. It's hard to force people to properly rerack their weights. I haven't used to pool yet, but it looks really nice and I love the idea of an indoor and outdoor pool. My daughter especially loves the playground area outside. Parking is a bit of a challenge due to the nature of the public playground and dog park, as well as people coming to use the pool. Still, I have always been able to find a parking spot without much effort. I recently had to leave this gym because we moved just a bit too far away, but I will miss it. read more

This place is great for hiking with your dog. Ton of trails to explore, that are great for running. They also have a doggie park with water station for your dog. Also lots of poke stops and tons of Pikachus to catch. The also have some neat geocache to find. read more

Swim lessons, I have a three year old and a 1 year old and was shopping around for some place to take lessons. I was hoping this was it, and stopped in to ask questions. The front desk advised that I would need to talk with the head of the swim program to make sure they could arrange to have an extra person in the class and I could bring both kids at the same time. Signed up for a membership after the person acted as if it would not be a big deal and she was going to email them on my behalf as well to let them know I had questions. I sent three emails and they acted like they didn't understand what I was asking. I called to schedule after they said it would be fine and they told me I missed the cut off by an hour (needed to be by 5 that day for the session the next month). So we signed up the following month (after our 30 day trial ended locking us into the membership). Needless to say I never had any help as promised for the class. The instructor was awful with young kids and they never got comfortable with him (not his fault he was young and wasn't trained to work with children), so they both clung to me crying for the hour every week. It was stressful for all of us. It's not my kids, we have been going to a new place which specializes in kids swim lessons and after 4 sessions my oldest moved up another class and my youngest can swim under water for 10 seconds...both with no tears! The membership was a waste as I did it to get the discounted rate on swim lessons, now we never use it or go since I'm not comfortable leaving kids at the play center when I don't trust their training based on our swim experience. read more

I was hoping it would get better now that it has opened back up after quarantine, but that could not be more wrong. I found the manager very rude and disrespectful, and will no longer be coming here. Keller Pointe is excellent as a health club AND as summer water experience. In the summer the have an outdoor water area that is part pool, part lazy river, and large slide and snack bar. The inside pool area is similar additionally with lap swimming lanes. You do not need to be a member to go as they have a daily rate you can pay and enjoy the fun.the inside water area - with slide is open year round. In addition, there is a indoor basketball court, weight room, exercise room with ellipticals, and a second story track that you can walk or run. There is also a classroom where they have various exercise classes. There are also conference rooms for parties, meetings etc. read more

We had a birthday party at Keller Pointe. First the price for a party of 24, outstanding. Beyond price, everyone who works here is extremely friendly. Im talking Chick-fil-a friendly. They designated 2 staff members to assist with our party for 2 hours. They had setup all done before we arrived, and even put our drinks in our coolers. They also helped with a bunch of little stuff, it seemed like any time I needed anything they were right there. They did all the cleanup, food handling, even offered to help get stuff out. It was great, I would highly recommend it for a kids birthday party. read more

We were members for several years. It was excellent when I started going. About a year ago we noticed that the facilities weren't being maintained or even cleaned! The staff went from caring and considerate to rude and neglectful by the day. Apparently new management took over about that time and have been running it into the ground ever since. Do NOT go here. My daughter has been to two of her friends birthday parties and has had a blast going to both. The facility seems pretty nice & luckily they do have family bathrooms with showers in them so if you don't want your kiddo to change or reince out their hair in the locker room there is that option. Their non-resident member rate was more expensive in one lump sum than what we pay in a year in a month to month plan at our rec-center so personally we'd just do day passes for the amount that we would go visit here, but if your a resident & near by I'm sure the price is about par to what we pay. I didn't ask if they do a month to month plan like NRH does ... The prices for the parties seem really reasonable, all based off of 10 kids starting at 165 ... which the basic includes a drink, a party favor & the cake ... and goes up from there if you want to have them take care of a snack or pizza/hot dog etc. For extra kids at least with the basic its $7 per extra kid for members, $12 per extra kid for non-members. So if your expecting about 10 kids its a pretty awesome deal, if your like us & had 18 kids show up to your kids last birthday party it can add up. read more

Anyways we decided to take Peach to the annual doggie dunk at their outdoor pool today and it was total blast! ($5 for pre registered or $10 at the door. I wish they had had more vendors but they had a great turn out anyways, and everyone was super friendly. We really had a blast. Peach was completely wiped out when we decided to go home. Good News: Great facility Bad News: The pool lifeguards can be a little tedious with the kids... walk the wrong way and they are blasting their whistles. You rarely see kids older than 12 at the pool as a result. The administration processes are old-school. I'd rather put a stick in my eye than waste time filling out useless forms. The City of Keller could use some help here if they still rely on paper for a process like this that adds no value. When you renew your annual membership you will have to complete all of the forms you completed when you enrolled the first time, family names, birthdays, address, etc... In our family, names and birthdays don't change but maybe we are the exception. Certainly they have a database of some sort, print out my membership and I will edit any changes and sign any waivers. If you want to sign your kid up for a summer program you will have to do that in person, fill out more papers. More than half of the programs we sign up for are ultimately cancelled because the minimums are not met. Maybe if it was easier? read more

It is a nice and clean family friendly pool. It is decently priced and very relaxing when it isn't totally crowded. The life guards are good at keeping the kids in line, and so far I haven't seen anyone dressed inappropriately for a pool (like cut offs and wearing a bra as swim wear). We enjoy our membership at The Keller Pointe more than we have with any other fitness club. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It is a very clean facility which has to be a challenge with the number of people going there daily. The equipment is kept in good shape and changed out when worn out. The indoor pool is a great place to exercise. The outdoor pools are fun for kids of all ages. It offers a great value for our family membership. read more

This facility is overpriced, but we went there for youth volleyball because most places were not open. Today they told us they could not reschedule a game when our team had a players that were unable to attend. Every other sports facility for youth has made accommodations for youth sports because we are in the middle of a pandemic. The Keller pointe won't because they are just after the money. I have been coming to Keller Pointe since Oct, 2009. It has everything I need in a gym (minus racquetball courts, I suppose). But for swimmers, it may be limited on lanes. The Pointe offers classes, plenty of equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, nautilus, free weights) and has two basketball courts and a track. I know some people avoid free weights in the gym due to "big guys" being a little intimidating. Not the case here (and I'm not a big guy--everyone is either friendly or keeps to themselves). The equipment is kept in good shape--a lot of it is only a year old. My wife has gone to classes even longer than I've been coming. She enjoys Zumba, Yoga, Strength Building, and others. The Pointe has indoor and outdoor pools for the kids and a "hot tub" of sorts. Our kids took swimming lessons here, and one even had a birthday party. There's also week-long camps for the kids when school is out. Family dressing rooms are available in addition to standard locker rooms. Friendly staff and a large parking lot. read more

We paid for a day to check out their pool area and it was nice that they have indoor and outdoor pool sections. We opted to stay outdoors since the day was surprisingly mild, heat-wise. They had a good amount of lifeguards, constantly checking all the areas; made us feel safe, although nothing really is over 5ft, but still, ya never know. So, points for that! The pool area was clean, a little debris here and there in the water, but nothing bothersome. My complaint is there are pool rules, and my expectation is that everyone should follow them. The day that we came, a guy swam in his cargo shorts and a t-shirt, the one he obviously came in through the gate with, as he was walking around earlier asking if can borrow a phone charger from guests. It clearly stated, proper pool/swim attire, and yet he was allowed to do this. Where's the cleanliness in that? Please make sure someone actually checks and ensures people are wearing proper swim attire when they get in the pool. I hope this guy did not set a precedent for this kind of behavior. read more

I have noticed that every time I go, it seems really hot inside. I have asked staff multiple times if they can adjust the temp and I always get the same answer- no.. there are now only 2 fans and with all of the added space it does not keep it cool enough.. other members have also complained and asked staff to lower the temp but they say they can't adjust it. PLEASE add some additional fans and adjust the temp to a much lower temp. More members than ever and more space to keep cool. read more

Great facility. We have been members here for going on two years now. The place is always clean. They have plenty of life guards in the pools and the gym equipment is always in great shape. We have also had several birthday parties here for our kids and the staff has been excellent. If I were to have a complaint is that I wish they were open earlier on the weekends. read more

Joined when we moved to keller but rarely went - my credit card was stolen so the monthly direct debit was declined since they didnt have the new number. They never sent me a letter or anything, just sent my account to a collection agency and dinged my credit! I will never recommend them due to their business practices. read more
