Not only was the cake absolutely superb and beautiful but the customer service was excellent. The nicest couple work here and are truly artists. We asked for a triple chocolate cake and it was relish! The ombré effect he did was stellar too. We searched and searched so many cake places in Temecula and there are some super pricey placed but this one was very well priced compared to competitors and stayed on budget. With that you worry, am I going to get what I pay for? But our cake is beautiful and yummy! Score!! This place is a gem. Small store yet full of cake and baking supplies. They sell a wide variety of candy melts, sprinkles, cake decorating tools and supplies, chocolate and candy molds, etc. Store owners and their staff are very helpful and friendly. Great customer service!!! They have cake stands for rent too! Every time I have a party for my son I would always rent 6-7 tiers of cupcake/cake stands from them. Its great to rent from them because my parties are usually every Saturday and they allow me to pick up the stands as early as Thursday and let me bring it back Monday. Wow, cannot rave enough about the kilted cake! I found them because of Instagram photos that blew me away but was even more impressed when I got to know them first hand. I called inquiring about a tasting and mentioned it wasn't for me as I am gluten and dairy free but wanted to send my fiancé. To my grand surprise they offered to make a gluten and dairy free cake and have me come in. It was DELICIOUS!! I really couldn't believe it. And they were so helpful and understanding as I went about choosing what kind of design. We had a cake tasting the other day for my daughters wedding cake and it was wonderful. They were so organize had every flavor out and they were so patient and welcoming. The girl even offered us soda and it was wonderful. We went out to breakfast right afterwards and decided to cancel all of the cake tastings and go back there and order the wedding cake. Waited with excitement to visit this cake supply/bakery as the reviews are amazing here on Yelp! Sadly, their first impression will be their last as my experience here was hurtful. My mom (who lives out of-state) & I walked in, I smiled at the cashier behind the counter who briefly looked up from her phone & didn't bother to smile back or acknowledge us. We chalked it up to the time of day & perhaps she was having a bad one.. We began looking at the items they offered, getting gitty about them having what we were looking for as my son will soon be graduating from the Marine Corps boot camp and we wanted to make him a cake to celebrate. We noticed that other "regular" patrons would enter & they would receive exceptional service, the cashier even put her phone down for 5 mins to direct this individual to the item they needed! Still passing us and not even a smile on her face.. Sending a message to me & my mom as though we were a bother.. Being in customer service myself I know & understand the importance of that service is, especially to a business owner. That's why I was shocked to receive the same, you're a bother cause we haven't seen you before & we don't need your business attitude came from the owner himself. My mom asked him about cupcake liners & his answer was - "I'm sorry, I will assume we don't have any although we usually do but I don't want to keep you.." We never said we were in a hurry, we roamed the store for at least 20 mins so we had the time for him to look - but he didn't want too... Needless to say I put the items I had in my hands back & advised my mom to do the same! I have a successful cake business & will NEVER shop here.. I will advise anyone who speaks about this business to think twice as they show favoritism & find it useless to make great first impressions for potentially exceptional & loyal customers! read more

This company deserves 0 stars. My sister hired them for her wedding (10/2/21) and prepaid almost a year in advanced. 1 month prior to her wedding, the wedding coordinator contacted the company to confirm the correct date. The employee stated they had the wrong date (10/3) but would change it in their system to the correct date (10/2), and also sent a confirmation email to the coordinator as well. The day of the wedding arrives and the cake was not delivered nor was the coordinator or any of the bridal party able to contact this company. They never changed the date!!! The day after, they attempted to deliver the cake to the venue and then only contacted my mom to find out what happened. The head person in charge attempted to pass blame stating that the wrong date had been put on the contract and that it was not their fault. However her tone changed VERY quickly once she found out about the email proof of confirmation that they had received the date change and would note it in their system. They offered my mom a refund but refused to deliver the cake to my sister. They stated that we could purchase the cake back from them and that they would not deliver it. The audacity to ruin my sisters wedding, try to thwart blame, and not try to make up for THEIR mistake. It has been weeks and no refund has been issued, my mom has had to call them multiple times and still nothing. They could have offered to deliver it or even to give my sister the cake she ordered and designed rather than let it go to waste. These people are rude and unreliable, I would not recommend. read more

The customer service here is phenomenal! I sent a lot of emails in the beginning before I choose to commit to having them do my wedding cake in June 2020. Every email I sent they always took the time to answer all of my questions in detail as well as always responding in a timely manner. I have not had time to do cake testing and they packages up and entire box of fillings, frostings and cakes for my fiance and I to try at home to make our decision. Everything was labeled clearly and they made this entire process so easy! I was able to pay a deposit and completed my payment early with them so my family can just pick it up the day before our wedding. I was able to send them a ton of photos, and they sent me other photos as well to help create our wedding dream cake. I have been here twice and I really loved my first visit and the girl who helped me was great. The second time, however, a different girl was working and not only was she not helpful but she was, in my opinion, not appropriately dressed for a place of business. She was wearing a headband with "cat ears" on them for some inexplicable reason.. very strange.. It was not Halloween ...And she also had on this huge white fur coat and glitter on her face.. Great place for cake-enthusiast of all levels! From cake boards to gum paste flowers, this is your one-stop-shop for your basic Cake needs. Prices are fair and everything is pretty well-stocked. The smell of fresh goodies exuding from the bakery, makes the experience all the better. I stopped in to pick up a few last minute items and the baker/clerk was very knowledgeable and welcoming. This place not only has everything you need, but the staff is friendly. I first came in here a couple years ago when they had just taken over. (Formerly Pila's Pantry) I'm sad to say I'm no longer in the area and even to visit Pila's Pantry (Their "sister" store) is a chore, but I refuse to shop anywhere else. Very cool and well stocked little cake store. It doesn't hurt that it smelled like fresh baked chocolate cake when we walked in. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They even carried fabric pastry bags- my personal favorite and not many stores carry them. They have every cupcake topper you can imagine for around 15-25 cents each and matching sprinkles and pastels of any theme/color. Great selection of cupcake collars and cake boards as well as colored and regular chocolate pieces for melting. We will definitely be back. Their prices are definitely competitive and their quality of cake is FANTASTIC. I showed their baker what i was looking for with a photo and the cake came out identical to the photo. They were very professional and took their time walking through the cake details upon ordering. Delivery was very smooth. On time, and set up beautiful.
