Oh I was impressed! I did not expect to find such a well stocked market in Johnson City Tennessee. Every item that I needed for a Thai curry I was preparing, they had in this store. I even found my favorite Japanese candies and teas. read more

This is a cute little market with lots of snacks, ice cream, staple items and some fresh and frozen foods. Great for a quick pick up of items you need to make a meal. Cool little market. Parking is a bit of an inconvenience but nothing that would scare be away. I can imagine the kind of chaos if a 100 year old blind person was trying to turn into this parking space though. I've been here since they first opened. And my visit recently it was nice to see that they've up their inventory. Would love to see them stick around and do good business because it would be awesome if JC has a legitimate Asian market. Good prices, friendly service, and local family owned. What more can I say besides go check them out and pick up some fresh produce or snacks to show them some support. read more

I love this store. The owner & family are always nice, friendly & helpful. I am half Korean & new to TN. Her kimchi is so very delicious & fresh. It reminds me of my mom & her kimchi & cooking so much that even in my 60s I get homesick for my mom! It's always clean whenever I go there. I couldn't be happier to have found my comfort food. I'm going to go to her Korean Taco House in downtown Johnson City soon. I have no doubt it will be superbly delicious! read more

This store has a great variety for how big it is. I found all the things I regularly need for my cooking plus some new things that I'm interested in trying out soon! Everything is very clean and organized. The woman running the store was very nice as well and asked if we needed any help while my mother and I were browsing. I definitely plan on shopping here again and plan on bringing my friends. read more

Store is fine when it's open. Hours posted are 9am to 9 pm. I arrange my schedule and drive 45 minutes to be here when they open. And they are closed. Very disappointing. Now I will have to wait another month for what I need or make a special 45 minute drive to come get. And the owner arrived same time I did and didn't even care when I told him hours on site posted said 9 to 9. He just said ok. We're not open til 10. Poor management read more

The Kimchi Market - International Grocery Near Me - Johnson City, Tennessee

They are still building their inventory when I went it they had just been open a couple weeks. They have packaged goods and a small amount of fresh produce but it wasn't so fresh. The clerk said they had to go to GA to get their produce cause it doesn't grow in JC - she referred to the bok choy. Actually you can grow baby bok choy, you just have to wait for it to grow - I was growing it in Black Cow compost and it was coming up but I wanted some now. If we stuck around I would have gone to the Chinese Asian Market up in Kingsport but we're on the road again. Service was nice but I gave it 3 stars cause it's too new and not what I was hoping for in fresh produce. read more

All my favorite Korean grocery items and some produce. The kimchi she sells tasted homemade and not like the ones sitting in a standard grocery store. They are limited in selection of vegetables as they are working on it as they just opened a few wks ago--so will update this review as I see more produce come in! So glad to see this close to our new home. read more
