This was a complex project due to the glue down installation of bamboo floors that had to be removed at the second level of the house. Portions of the first floor finished in polished concrete were also installed - all along a gentle curve.. The care and precision of installation was perfect, particularly working around a curved steel stair case that was finished in 3" floating black walnut treads. After a year of use and a long overdue review, I remain extremely impressed with the durability and beauty of these floors. The entire team was fantastic to work with, particularly Steve and his install lead Cesar. When you have a single guy on the install team that makes all of the cuts, you know they have their process down pat. We did not have a single punch item on the job. After our personal experience, we had Steve provide floors for my daughter's house in Mercer Island, Washington. Steve advised on locating a certified flooring installer and the results there were fantastic - a custom herringbone pattern and color perfectly fitting the mid-mod house. He was hired to remodel the kitchen and replace the water lines throughout the house, but he immediately pointed out some serious issues with the house once they started opening up walls. Termites, water damage, DIY electrical, and plenty more issues that the seller had just covered up. A lot of contractors will just do what they were hired to do, but this was above and beyond what I expected. Even with all the additional fixes that needed to be done, his crew knocked it all out in about a month. His work is impeccable too. The amount of prep that went into painting was extraordinary. Every single nook and cranny was prepped with high quality caulk (especially where the siding meets the brick). We especially liked that SDH came out to our house and MEASURED for the doors. This makes for an exact custom fit! (Other companies I called have premade doors they they install and they just gave quotes over the phone.) The day of install, the workers came on time and got the shower glass up in no time! Only small issue is there is a bit of water leaking from the bottom. I've called and they're supposed to schedule someone to come out and fix it. Perhaps I'll update once that happens. Price was the same as I was quoted for the prefab doors from another company so we were glad to get custom made ones for the same price. Love the look! Our new bathroom is awesome! Liberty sent Julio out to my house and I met with him. I showed him what I wanted and he gave me some ideas which were included in the quote. I received the quote from him, which was reasonable. My issue was that after I received the quote from Julio, there was no follow up. We were supposed to go and look at some countertops and vanities, but he kept rescheduling and cancelling on me. The last time we were supposed to meet to go and pick some materials out it was a Friday and I waited on him for 1.5 hours before it got too late. I got a little mad and I told him to tell me when he was available vs. me waiting on him. When I didn't hear from him by Saturday, I sent him a note and said, "Julio is my job too small for your company to take on? I'm getting the impression it is and if it is please just let me know." Julio responded back to say the job wasn't too small. "I will get it done for you. I am working on the schedule for this up coming week. I apologize for the set back. I will get it done for you." I responded that I was thinking the job was too small and that he was just being too polite to tell me. He responded back again and said, "No mam. We value all our customers. We will do the project. Please allow me to finish my schedule and I will put you on our list for the week." I never heard from Julio again so I went with ACE Hardware handyman services, who did a fabulous job for me; did everything I asked; and the actual cost came in $1,000 less than the estimate - which was very unexpected and appreciated. As a matter of fact, I think they did such a fantastic job that I am having them come back and do more work for me. So in summary, I do not recommend Liberty Kitchen, Baths and More. Lack of follow up and no customer service. But I do recommend ACE Hardware Handyman services!
