My experience at Floor & Decor was very nice. My occupation takes me away from home a month or so at a time. But I was eager to purchase some flooring I'd found at sugarland Floor & Decor, my first encounter had been with Nelson one of the managers. Since I'd already had a shopping list of what I needed he dived right in, took his time to explain every item I needed and even suggested other material similar on my list but at a cheaper price. Then there was the associate Elisa, she was amazing with her Patience throughout my whole shopping experience. She walked the floor and pointed out other items that would accentuate what I'd already purchased. Now mind you, she wasn't looking for an extra sale, these were ideas I'd wanted to get more info on and she was more than happy to go with me and give me her input on my project. During my time away, Nelson made sure I'd have a smooth transition of receiving my order once I returned home. Of course returning home I'd encountered a few bumps in the road with the order due to the affects of Hurricane Beryl and in steps the store manager Carol ufffff, what an amazing team. Between Carol, Nelson and Elisa they came together and made sure I'd received everything intact and offered any assistance I'd need in the future because of my work situation. Should be a 0 star! Spend lot of money at this place lately for remodeling the houses! When there this morning and return the materials that left over to the store. Ran into the Associate in the front check out her name is Donna was so rudest I ever seen as a customer service like her! While she checking the items that I return and she said these not belong to the store! Then told her yes they are please check at the receipt and the bar code! And then told me move out of her way so she can take care the customers! Yes I am a customer at the store that spent money! I hit up 3 different, yes 3, Floor & Decors across Houston after missing boxes (listed as in stock when they weren't) led me to multiple locations. Maaaan I was pretty rattled until I came to the Sugarland location. Dariana and Craig took unbelievable care of me and had me in and out in minutes with an added discount on top (open boxes in PERFECT condition)! What a way to go from pretty aggravated to extremely grateful, great employees truly make all the difference in a world of "I want it, and I want it now" A big shoutout again to Dariana and Craig, a couple of truly delightful people to have you taken care of. This place is lovely they have so MUCH to look at!!! I seriously can get overwhelmed when shopping. I was looking at backsplash and shower tiles and they just had an array of patterns designs and colors. The associates at the store were very helpful and went over which grout to chose with the tile and floors in order to get the best results. The store was big too which gave more room for getting a bunch of other ideas. I will be coming back for more ideas and remodeling, this place is dope. read more

Nelson quickly solved the grout question and offered to help the with the other elements of my design. He was patient and easy to talk through my concerns with. I had ordered some Carrera Marble 12x24" tile from Floor and Decor, but you wouldn't believe the issues I had with this company! First, the site sold stock they didn't have, but I didn't find out until a month after I ordered, at which point I finally called them when it didn't look like it had shipped out. The automated phone system is ridiculous. I had to go through 5 different lines to get the person I needed to talk to in their warehouse located in Sugar Land, TX. Then, I was put on hold for 10 mins. Next, an agent supposedly ordered some from a store in El Paso, but the agent never followed up with me to let me know. I had to call back in, stay on the line for another 20 mins until someone could assist me. Finally, I learned that the tile that came in from that other store was broken, mismatched, or turned in from previous customers for a refund. This is what their customer service agent told me! 5 weeks from my original order, I finally requested a refund and ordered from Stone Tile Depot. Stone Tile Depot, by contrast, shipped out the tile very quickly (maybe in a week and a half from when I ordered). The tile is beautiful and says 'Made in Italy' on the sides and on the packaging. So far, they're all matched and on the lighter side, which is what I requested. The veins are long and pretty. I'm excited to install this in our bathroom. Thanks, Stone Tile Depot! I do not recommend Floor and Decor, at least for the Carrera Marble tile. read more

I have shopped at the Sugar Land Floor & Decor for a long time. I think the selection is great and there is always employees available to answer questions. It is a very customer service oriented company which you don't often find these days. And today was no exception! I had the most helpful and knowledgable employee assist me during my visit. .. Alan! he helped me with the tile selection and loading it up on my cart, and find the thin set, grout and spacers I needed for my project. He was patient and seemed to enjoy his work. UPDATE: I was recently contacted by floor & decor and HSS to rectify the horrible situation the contractors left us with. They immediately sent new contractors out to finish our floors and they did an outstanding job. Thanks floor & decor for making this right! MY ORIGINAL EXPERIENCE: Ok, my bad experience was not necessarily with Floor & decor specifically, but with the installers and third party 'contractors management' service they use. Unfortunately, since Floor & Decor is the face of any home remodeling you do with them, they earn the 1 star. Since this is how they do business. So, they way it works is that you buy 'high quality' products from them at lower prices. Once you purchase their products, they set you up with a third party management company, Home Services Solutions (or something like that), who gets you in touch with a contractor. We revived a bid from P&B Lonestar for installing our floors. During my consultation with a lady named Teri, we discussed an issue with my current transition from the living room to kitchen, where the carpet meets the tile, which was shaped in an S pattern. We determined that the installers would extend my laminate floors further into the kitchen to have a straight transition, and we were quoted for it. I don't hear from the actual contractors until 2 days before scheduled install, after several emails beforehand. This was AFTER I have paid for the product and half of the labor. My inexperience in home remodeling left me in a sad situation. Lesson learned! Once I finally spoke to Patrick, he expressed he was not happy that he had to pick up my products from two different locations(something that F&D offers all their customers) saying that it was a waste of time having to drive all over Houston to get my products. He also had NO IDEA where I lived, about 30 miles SW of Houston, which I discussed with both F&D and Teri, the lady from P&B. He went on about how if he knew where we lived and that IT was ONLY a floor install, he would of never accepted the job. He was rude and went on about how rinky dink our job was, it wasn't worth it, because does $100,000 remodels, and so on...I had a gut feeling to say 'forget about it' but just pushed it aside and moved forward. Fast forward to install. They wouldn't extend the floor more into the kitchen like we discussed originally because it wouldn't meet the cabinets right. So instead of figuring out a way to make it right, they told us that we would have to fill in the tile ourselves and glue in the last of the transitions. So they basically left us with a job that WE would have to finish. I was not happy but I have a soft husband who said it was alright. They would not help us with the tile bc 'they don't do that' and it would take more than two days, and it wasn't worth their time to come out a third day. Now we have unfinished floors, and everywhere that I've gone to look for tile to match, has been APPALLED that ANY contractor would leave a job like that. Even if it was 'small'. I have discussed this with F&D, who sends me to HSS, who wants me to work it out with the contractor. I've tried that and he was so rude and disrespectful, I don't want to deal with him anymore. I will NEVER do business with Floor & Decor again. Even though it wasn't them directly, they apparently don't have the power to ensure a quality installation with the way they do business. read more

Whatever you do, do not use Installation Made Easy. The simply hire local subcontractors thereby adding unnecessary markup and they do not respond when the installer does a very bad job as they did on my LVT floors. My LVT floor has loose planks throughout the installation and it took almost one month to get repairs that did not solve but about a third of the problems. read more

I'm happy to say that Chad was terrific: I was late to the appointment and he didn't miss a beat. He was a great listener, extremely helpful and creative and professional. He's got a very good eye and we completely designed the space in 1 sitting! Yahoo! I also would like to give a giant SHOUT OUT to Adrian. I hope his title is Consultant and not Sales, because he is certainly incredibly talented and covered the aspects of the order that I would not have considered myself, such as the use of Mosaic mortar. Ok, let me preface this by saying we did NOT want to purchase anything here. We had a horrible previous experience at the Almeda location with them improperly ringing up our tile, and selling our tile to another customer later, tile we had already bought and paid for. Lost 3 days of rebuilding due to that. However, unfortunately we needed more tile ordered to complete our flooring. Avoided the Almeda location, and found the matching tile online at Floor & Décor. We searched each location's inventory until we found it in stock at Sugar Land. We placed the order before 10 am on 10-19. Had a contractor ready to pick it up, since they "guarantee" same day pickup for orders placed before 2 pm. Waited for the email saying it was ready. The email never came. We called to find out where our tile was and when it would be ready. We were told that now our tile had to be sent from their Distribution Center. Clearly, not what inventory showed online. Now, here it is 4 days later, and still no word from Floor & Décor. We called them again today. This time we find out that our order will not be in until 10-30. We have a contractor who has been waiting to pick this up. We will lose 11 days of rebuilding, as we wait for this order which should have been in stock. We were told they were negative 400+ boxes of this particular tile, so we are not the only ones this happened to. Sadly, their customer service was lacking as well. No communication was initiated by them, and should have kept us informed. And here we are...still waiting... read more

We were a bit overwhelmed by all of the choices. So many options! Thank God that Adrian agreed to help us! He coached us through choosing tiles for a shower and tub surround, as well as selecting an appropriate grout. He even helped us pick spacers, caulk, and other accessories we needed. I didn't give 5 stars because my back hurt for 3 days after loading the tile on the cart! Yes, it's a warehouse store, but that tile is heavy! read more

My mother in law & I were selecting laminate floors for our homes. Chad & Jesse were extremely helpful, then there's John who went above & beyond & cut some shoe molding for us. Then there's Jay with his very helpful self making sure that we got everything we needed. Overall experience shopping here was great, very helpful staff except for one, Craig. He's just so arrogant & made us feel unimportant. When asked if someone was available to cut shoe molding for us, he immediately brushed us off saying no one was available to do it. The manner in which he said it really hit a nerve with my mother in law & she was so upset she wanted to complain to the manager. But I insisted that a review would be a much appropriate alternative. So if you need help with a home project or business, come by here & make sure to not ask for Craig. He's in the wrong line of work. read more

For the first time I had a problem with my online order. Its always been my experience that at that time you know who you are dealing with. Well...I'm dealing with the right people. I went to the store and Nelson greeted me. He listened and he helped immediately. He was not trying to pawn me off on someone else but rather he jumped into action. We came in to the Sugarland location with a non-standard project, with a rough idea of how to accomplish it but a number of difficulties in the detail. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful but A representative called Tommy went above and beyond to answer all of our questions numerous times during our visit, even though he was doing other things. This store exceeded our expectations. My husband and I are currently renovating our master bathroom. We're working with a contractor and needed to select tile. This location has a wide range of great products to complete any project but with so much to choose from it can get overwhelming. Alan was extremely friendly and helpful. He answered all of our questions and he was very knowledgeable about each product. Adrian was also very helpful when it came to selecting the right product for our project. I had never heard of this place until a month ago when a company recommended we see what time we would want to use for our renovation. Wow. What a place and so many options. It took us a couple visit to narrow down our search and on our last visit, we came across Adrian, a decorator and amazing help at this business. He was able to help us and guide us within our budget and show us how it could look like with their simulator demo. He was capable, patient, understanding and an outstanding guide. He also had Dari provide an extra knowledge on the marble floor we opted for but needed minimal maintenance in the future. Anyway, needless to say those two made a great resource and team. Floor & Decor is lucky to have such skillful employees. Thank you Adrian & Dari and we have decided to redo our floors and you will see us again soon. Thank you Floor & Decor. After considering Home Depot and Floor & Decor for white subway tiles, I decided on the latter. Home Depot was a few pennies cheaper per tile but the ones at Floor & Decor had the built-in spacers. I'm glad I picked the Sugar Land location too because not only did they give me a discount, the entire staff was extremely helpful. If I had a question, someone was always there to answer it. I never had to look for anyone for help. Bryan was excellent, he walked around with me, loaded my tiles for me, and was very knowledgeable about all the products.
