Super cute store! It carries everything under the sun, as far as kitchen stuff goes. The products it carries are quality products. Just walking around it was so much fun. In fact saw several items which were unique to this shop. Prices are on the higher side - for those items that you can find somewhere else. Attended a Taco cooking class. It was a demo (I was expecting hands-on). They do have many hands-on cooking classes. You just need to find one which you like. My favorite was the Chicken Taco. It was cold chicken but the marination was super good! I've not tried making those Tacos after coming home. But for those who want to, they were not difficult. Just need all the ingredients.

AVOID: Caught my house on fire…read more Turns out they used unlicensed electrical contractors and didn't pull required permits or get inspections. Per MD State Fire Marshall inspector Patrick McGaha: heated flooring installed by KBS was leaking deadly amounts of voltage under my shower/sink/toilet, and secondly it caught the wiring on fire next to my children's bed due to non-code wiring. KBS owners Paul Panah, Cemil Yilmaz, Henry Yilmaz, and Mahir Zeynalov knowingly put my family in danger as they personally oversaw the construction. The insurance carrier on their contract says they never had a policy, and a valid policy was not provided despite 3 requests. Instead of offering to pay for this to be fixed, they hired a lawyer and cut off communications. Construction with KBS was a disaster. Since KBS hadn't filed permits, they had to hide company vehicles and workers coming and going from our house (this was our first remodel and didn't realize this was strange). KBS had 5 different project managers during the 2 months of construction work, each quit KBS. KBS had 3 unrelated construction crews since they kept quitting too. KBS then made changes to designs that made no sense, like installing a stand alone tub against a wall leaving a 1mm gap instead of a normal wall tub. Cemil Yilmaz tried for 3 weeks to forcefully convince us to accept this tub, making us very uncomfortable with him, despite everyone at KBS stating this was not correct. KBS also installed a heated floor in HALF of the bathroom, and then Cemil attempted to convince us to accept it. Other issues: tile stopped before walls, trim height varies up to 1 inch, wavy walls, faucets had internal damage from install, gouges in tubs, scratches on counters, and cracked cabinets. We made a complaint to KBS Corporate about our experience with Cemil and Henry Yilmaz, so Paul Panah and Mahir Zeynalov personally came out and took ownership over the project. Cemil Yilmaz then began pressuring for early payments, and ultimately overcharged us $2,000 which he did not want to refund. Work was finished but no required permits or inspections happened. Fixing the electrical issues requires the entire bathroom to be removed and redone (since it is under the floor) Multiple quotes at over $80k, and KBS offered me $4500. Expect a similar experience at any KBS since Paul Panah owns them. AVOID.

Based on our needs we requested 2 appliance garages, a large countertop pantry cabinet, an integrated fridge and dishwasher, an island full of drawers--only drawers. The challenge of the project was to create an island that could support the open floor plan and was still functional and good looking. They succeeded. MHCC also designed a trash cabinet, a spice drawer and 4 other drawers with dividers, a cabinet with roll out drawers, a cabinet tower for microwave and wall oven. We wanted painted cabinets and John at MHCC helped us find the 2 perfect paint colors. We are very pleased with the amount of work space we have, the size of the island, the flow from work station to work station, the color scheme and quality of our sold maple cabinetry. A fun and delicious activity! We visited Tastebuds Kitchen…read morein State College to participate in one of their adult BYOB cooking classes (we had gift certificates). We had no idea what to expect, but had so much fun we are still talking about our evening! We registered for the Indian cuisine course (Samosas, Tikki Masala, and naan bread) that took place from 6:00-8:00 on a Saturday evening. This is a fun, lighthearted, and more of a social activity than a hard-core cooking lesson, which we enjoyed. Upon entering the establishment, we were very pleased with the bright, colorful, and simplistic decorations/equipment. Everything was very clean and no extra clutter existed, which is what one would want in a food prep area. For this class there were 3 stainless steel tables (4 people per table) set up with stools, parallel to the demonstration area. We were given aprons to wear and introduced to our assigned station and group members (We had the best and most fun people at our table!). After everyone had arrived and introductions completed an overview of the course and food was presented. Efficiency is best to describe this course. While we were watching the demonstration for one component of the meal, the assistants were placing the necessary equipment and supplies to make that component at our table. After the demo of each course/food we returned to our stations and worked as a group to prepare/cook that item. After we completed an item the assistants would take them from the station to hold for later and we returned to the demo area for the next presentation (the assistants would also clean the area during this time). This process repeated for each menu item. I wish I had this type of set up while cooking at home! After the last item is prepared, the assistants bring each table place settings and then serve all the dishes we prepared family style. I loved the family style where we actually were able to sit and enjoy a full meal of all items we prepared throughout the event instead of just tasting pieces along the way. We had a great time and are looking forward to taking additional courses in the future. Yes, the cost is a bit steep $55pp, but for 2+ hours and a full meal etc, I would go again for a date night/group outing.
