a kitchen with white cabinets and stainless steel appliances

We spent months thinking through different contractors and options for our kitchen. We had a limited budget but a desperate situation with collapsing old cabinets, Lynn put a lot of effort in working with us and suppliers (including IKEA stores across most of the state) to get us a much more modern kitchen while keeping most of our appliances in the new layout. We could not be happier and highly recommend flatrate kitchens for anyone trying to get the kitchen of their dreams but not breaking the bank.

I didn't have much of a budget at all to renovate my kitchen but Lynn came up with a plan and absolutely nailed it. I had total faith in him and I couldn't be happier with my kitchen. He removed a wall and made a beautiful island with quartz countertops. I love it and recommend him for sure!

Can I give 6 stars? 8? I wanted an IKEA kitchen, and went through the planning stage with them. But then I got cold feet using their installers. There was no one to talk things through with, or ask questions, and the idea of getting my own plumber, electrician, etc was too overwhelming. Other kitchen contractors were way over my budget. I found Lynn on Yelp because you have to be able to "speak IKEA". He took the plan IKEA gave me, tweaked it so it maximized my space, and from then on we were in tune! We spent an amazing day shopping for countertops. We went to shop for quartz, saw a piece of granite that was breathtaking, headed to IKEA and chose different cabinets to work with the granite. All of Lynn's suggestions were awesome. The project grew to a redo of a guest bathroom and master vanity. The team he brought in were professional and tidy, and I had no issue with anyone working in my house while I was not there. He has a great sense of humor and dealt with my stress - and my boyfriend - with fun and laughter. I really want to have him over for dinner now Cucina Ribner is working. I love my new kitchen - all the details and the lighting and the storage and the appliances - just amazing.

We found Flatrate IKEA kitchen installers on Yelp. Thank you Yelp and thank you Flatrate Kitchens! Our kitchen has been beautifully transformed and we couldn't have done it without their help. Lynn organized the process and paid great attention to detail. He is creative at design but it also felt very collaborative. It wasn't easy to live in a construction site, but the work was completed quite quickly. We retained some original upper cabinetry to keep cost down, and, used bold pull handles to visually tie these in with the new bottom IKEA cabinets. End result was trendy white and grey bi tonal cabinets, gorgeous custom countertops, sink and faucet. We have a small condo kitchen and our storage capacity has been doubled. Strongly recommend!

We hired Lynn from Flatrate Kitchens to install butcher block for our office & coffee nook. It came out amazing! We really appreciate the extra care he took and advice he gave. He took the time to show us how to care for the wood to preserve its natural beauty. He advised us to choose a bees wax & mineral oil finish instead of polyurethane, would we love. Lynn and his team were a pleasure to work with.

I was looking for someone to remodel the kitchen in my rental property in Weston. I found Lynn on Yelp and I still can't believe my good fortune! Lynn is very professional and easy to work with. I thought this job would be especially hard to manage because I live in California and my condo is in Florida, but Lynn was great at communicating with me by phone, text and email. I always knew what was going on. He did an excellent job of managing my tenants (who lived there during the project), the HOA, nosy neighbors and the problems that inevitably arise from opening up walls and ceilings in a condo built in the '80s! In the end, Lynn remodeled the kitchen and one bathroom. He took down half of the wall that separated the kitchen from the dining and living rooms. Now it feels more open and spacious. He also redid the floors in the dining room, living room and front and back patios. It all looks incredible!!! If I decide to do more work on my condo, Lynn will be the first person I call! Now, if I could only fly him and his crew out to California to work on my home here, then I'd really be in heaven!!!

Lynn is amazing! We just had him install a backsplash in our new home. Challenge YES! Not a single wall, counter top or cabinet was level. He was a perfectionist until I was 100% satisfied with the out come. He even suggested we change around the tiles which I am very grateful he did, the out come was better than I ever thought possible. A little more expensive than I would have liked but it was well worth it. Lynn was punctual, professional, patient and a pleasure to work with. I will hire him for any other work in the future and recommend you do the same! Thanks Lynn!

We give Flatrate Kitchens 5 stars, because Lynn took on a somewhat odd job and delivered excellent results. We could not find anyone who would remove the large builder grade mirrors in our two full bathrooms. We also needed both bathrooms painted and decorative mirrors placed. Lynn was willing to do all of that for us. We are so happy with the paint color and the new look of our bathrooms with upgraded mirrors! We'll be recommending Lynn and Flatrate Kitchens to friends in the area.

We recently totally renovated and updated our Kitchen and Bar with Allied Kitchen and Bath. From the very moment we walked into the showroom until the last detail was completed we had a fantastic experience. After visiting several other places, not one of them suggested the design and layout that our designer Rob Feinberg at Allied did. They completely transformed the flow of our entire house by adding a large central island as a gathering place, work space and storage area. They suggested wall ovens to save space as well as adding a bar to use for mixing drinks and serving adjacent to the island. It is so stylish and we have had so many compliments on the design, material and style we were guided to. They had many choices of cabinets at many different price points, styles and colors, and we were shown and directed to what would look best and provide the greatest value. The cabinets arrived quickly and they had their teams at our house immediately to prep and install all the components. The workers were timely, very organized, efficient and each were long term employees so we felt very comfortable through the entire process. They left the house spotless each day, and took great care in both the demolition of our old kitchen and bar, as well as assuring everything was perfect down to the last detail on the new one. I really had no idea of the extent of what would be needed and felt that using a company with 40 years of experience was especially important. We are so glad we did. We felt very confident every step of the way, and were thrilled with the constant communication from both Bob the Project Manager and Bill Feinberg, the owner and updates throughout the whole project from conception to completion. Allied Kitchen and Bath is an award winning company, and we are thrilled to share how they have earned that and have remained number one in our area for all these years.

They take your money and disappear. One guy wouldn't put anything in writing. He didn't even have a business card. Another "company" gave me a low quote but didn't want to get building permits. He asked me to be vague about the project with my condo management. All red flags. A neighbor suggested Allied. They did great work for him and kept the mess to a minimum by protecting his carpet and hardwood floors. I met with Lewis, a designer at Allied and we discussed options for my bathroom. I had a strict budget and I found Lewis willing to work within it. He came up with great ideas. Allied does things the right way. Designer drawings are done. An architect creates blueprints that breeze through the city permitting process. In a few weeks the project began. Trevor did a wonderful job installing a Schluter Shower System, a product that guarantees no leaks for life! Mark and Angelo were fantastic at setting the fixtures and rough carpentry and keeping dust to a minimum. Adam was my project manager who was available by cell if I had ANY concerns. Chris and Liz were awesome at helping me select tiles and finishes. Everybody was helpful and professional!! I never enjoyed a construction project so much. I found Allied to be top notch. Professional. Helpful. They wanted to be a five star company for me.

Two cabinets were ordered incorrectly, and we're still waiting on replacements. While the backsplash, countertops, and lower cabinets turned out beautifully, the upper cabinets are a different story--they don't align with the ceiling, several are visibly crooked, and one of the side shelves is already drooping and in need of repair. Kimberly assured us over a month ago that everything would be done within two weeks. Since then, nothing. At this point, I have little confidence she'll deliver the kitchen she promised. It's likely we'll need to hire someone else to finish the job and correct her mistakes. I didn't want to write this review, but after months of broken promises and delays, enough is enough.

They promised to build our outdoor kitchen in 6 weeks and in that time frame they did not even pull out permits. The little work done was done improperly and very sloppy. They even put concrete inside the plumbing (wtf?!), we were lucky the the new people were able to remove and it didn't get clogged in the meantime. Everytime we tried to make contact before firing them there was a lame excuse, she lost her phone , her wifi was down, etc. The money that we put as down payment needless to say that lost had to pay others to get the job done. We were lucky she didn't finish our job because everything she and her people did was wrong and if they completed the job, we would have bigger problems in the future. So if you are thinking about hiring them, RUN, as far and fast as possible and save yourself some money and headaches.

I ordered everything for my 2 brand new bathrooms.... from tiles, to vanities, to lighted mirrors, fixtures, etc. I spent almost $9000. Everything that I ordered, and I mean everything..I received...was wrong! He called & switched to tile on me because apparently they were out of stock. Then they delivered both vanities which I didn't order, then he asked me if I wouldn't mind substituting another bathroom shower faucet because the one I ordered was out of stock too. This was nothing but a complete headache! And when I called to let him his response was "just chill".."breathe. Honestly, I'm not one to hurt someone's business, but when I order something I expect to get the same thing that I ordered! I won't tell you not to shop there because he has great things in his showroom and he really gave me some awesome decorating tips too, but triple check your order... Luckily for me they were having a floor sample sale so I purchased a LED Mirror and a vanity. Unable to get it the same day, I was told to pick up two days later. When we arrived for pickup all was boxed and ready to go. When the vendor came over and unboxed both (on camera), the mirror was chipped in the bottom corner. I took it back to the store, receipt in hand to exchange (another of the same was still on the floor). I was told that I would not be granted an exchange and my only option was to purchase the same mirror at full price (not half off like the other). With that being a poor economic option, I requested a refund and was also told that was not an option. However, as a favor, I could get store credit (there was no comparable LED mirrors in that price point). I asked to speak to Manager/owner but was told that is the best offer. I am in the service industry and truly believe they could have simply sold me the same mirror off the floor (which was now a floor model). They had no way of proving to me that they did not break it. Now I am left with almost $400 that cannot be used at another location (I was told), and why would I want to do business with such a company after this ordeal? I would have given no stars, the two stars are for the vanity - she is a beauty!
