I've eaten my fair share of Kolaches, and this place beats them all. The Kolache Shop in Clute, Texas is a must ! I tried the cinnamon roll and a jalapeño sausage and cheese Kolache. Yes & Yes !! The sausage is a real sausage, not something you find in other make believe so called Kolaches. Real meat Real sliced jalapeños Real cheese Great breading The ladies working were very friendly. I definitely will return and probably get the same thing, it was that good. If you haven't been, what are you waiting on ? Go get Full

Another great kolache shop on the Texas Kolache Trail. I love supporting small businesses like this, and it is even better when their product is as amazing as this! I tried an apple kolache and fajita kolache - both were yummy! Come early if you want the best variety - I came around 11am and they were out of most of their offerings. This place is popular!

Strawberry and Cream Cheese Kolache: The bread was delicious, but a little dry. I enjoyed the sweet and fresh tasting strawberry compote with a sprinkled on sugar. Sausage and Cheese Pig: Great flavor, link style sausage cut into two halves with a slight pepper finish. Taking a bite into this roll, I got meat and cheese with every bite- great balance/ratio. Overall: I liked the quality of the bread, which is key to a good sweet and/or savory kolache. The filling in both kolaches was sufficient and enjoyable. If the flavor want so good, I would have said they were overpriced, but luckily they were good.

    Cute takeout box.

This place is awesome! One of the best kolaches places I've been. The best thing on the menu are the cinnamon rolls but they are usually sold out by 7ish. The pigs in a blanket are so good too as well as the fruit kolaches! Don't expect hot dog sausages they won't be here. They have good customer service and they don't charge taxes if you buy over 7 items! Enjoy!

Hands down best kolaches I have ever had!! I was lucky enough to arrive as a fresh batch was being brought out. At first glance, I thought the medium brown treats might be a tad over cooked but to my surprise I was soooooo wrong! The tender dough tore apart effortlessly revealing a perfect wedge of polish sausage wrapped in cheese. Sausage and cheese kolache had the perfect ratio of meat to bread. To think it couldn't get any better the fruit tarts take you to another level of satisfaction. The fruit filling is the ideal balance of sweet but not to the point where you can't taste the fruit flavor and then surroun0ded by buttery rich dough that brings it all together. Definitely a MUST try if you are in the area.

Hands down the best kolaches I've had. I absolutely love their pigs - with real German sausage wrapped in their delectable bread! My personal favorite would be the Jalapeño sausage and cheese! Also, gotta for for some of those kolaches as well - of course! The cream cheese is my favorite, but the fruit ones are great as well. If I had only one complaint, it would be the coffee. Come on folks - fresh brewed is the ONLY way to go with coffee (but decided no to hold that against them). I've had other kolaches from around TEXAS, many of the places top rated, but these are still my favorite - truly a great find. IN final closing, I must say you have to try the cinnamon roles. Ooey gooey greatness :). Big enough to share with a friend (preferably one on a diet so you get more :D.

They have the best cinnamon rolls. And they are huge. I ate off mines in 2 days that's how big they are.

I've been to Asiel's twice this month…read more The first time, I went with my husband. We got there on a Sunday around 11:30am, and it was packed. We had to wait about five minutes for a table. Our server was very nice. He came to our table not long after we sat down and took our drink order and brought our drinks out quickly. Then he took our food order. My husband had a party melt and I had the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. I also ordered two scrambled eggs. We did not have to wait too long for the food. A young male server brought us our food, and I told him I was missing my eggs. He said he'd check on that and never returned. By the time our server came, I was done eating so I said no to the eggs even though he said he would go get them. He also apologized profusely, and he seemed genuine. The food was good. It wasn't the best I have had, but it was decent. The prices were decent as well. The second time I went to Asiel's, I went with my 10 year old daughter on a Friday around 11:45am. It was't at all busy. There were maybe like three tables with two people each. My daughter and I waited almost five minutes for someone to come seat us, but no one ever came or even acknowledged us. I won't go back to Asiel's after this last time. First forgetting my food and not bringing it to me after I let them know I didn't receive it and second because we were not acknowledged at all even after waiting close to five minutes to be sat.

It was no problem! They took my order and the cake was ready to pick up by 10am. The cake was not only delicious, it also was beautiful with plenty of fruit on top. I took a bite myself and realized the taste & texture was that of a regular cake. It was most definitely NOT a tres leches cake. I took the cake back to let them know I did not receive a tres leches cake. The employees were adamant that it was. They said it just wasn't moist because I didn't ask for it. Sorry, but a tres leches cake is a tres leches cake & anytime I've ordered one from different places I received what I asked for. I let them know I did not know I was supposed to let them know I wanted a moist tres leches cake and the person who took my order didn't mention at the time my order was placed. You'd think that would be something they'd let their customers know. They said they can't make the big cakes like their individual slices they sell because the milk from the cake would run out of the container. They did not offer a refund or to fix it. I know it's because they feel they sold me the correct thing and they did nothing wrong. I left the cake there and left. It sucked paying $40 for a cake and having a certain expectation just to be let down. I went to them because they are a small business, close to home, and because I've had their individual slices of tres leches cake and it was good.
