Went there today for a really good hot dog. I brought a friend (first time) who ordered a cheeseburger. Her burger was spot on. I was so disappointed in my hot dog. It was so different from the other two I'd had there before. The "wiener" used to be a really tasty "sausage type" link. The chili was thinner & light over the dog & the u could find & taste the meat. Mine was covered in about an inch of thick, cool, disgusting chunky "chili" with bacon crumbles smothered over a Luke warm regular type frankfurter (like Oscar Mayer) & American cheese slices ( only one on the foot long dog). First time customer. I had a Dirty South combo and added a Chili Cheese dog on the side. The food was great. I ate the combo and it was so much food, I had to save the chili cheese dog for later. The Dirty South and fries were amazing. I was really surprised how much I like the fries. The chili cheese dog even heated up later was very good. The total bill was $27. That seemed high to me, for a burger and a hot dog, so I don't know how often I'll be going back. But if you're willing to pay a little extra for some good burgers, hot dogs and french fries. The food is very good, but after a few visits I asked for the receipt after consistently getting charged much more than the menu reflects. Please update the prices on your menus to reflect the actual prices. It would also be nice to let customers know that you will also charge a service fee and that drinks are extra even after getting a combo. Short answer is this was one of the better burgers I've had but not for the usual reasons. The bun... you could tell it wasn't just a run of the mill bun. Sometimes you let the burger sit and all that grease loosens up the bun. This didn't do that... could mean next to no grease but the burger saw gooey for the cheese and just tasted ohh so good. Great place to enjoy a locally owned and made burger. My favorite part is the slightly sweet bun. The meat is so juicy and packed with flavor. But the fries? Man they were the star of the show. I have tried both a burger and hot dog at this new place. First the burger: it was a bacon cheeseburger combo with fries. The patty had good flavor and texture. Better than the frozen patties you get at other places. Unlike the strip bacon you get on other burgers this had bacon bits. My only complaint is it came with ketchup on it. I prefer mustard on a burger. Leave the ketchup for the fries which I must say were good. Now the hot dog: this was a chillidog combo also with fries. It came with chilli, cheese and diced onions. It needed more chilli than what I got. Also like the burger it came with ketchup. I alwys prefer mustard on my chillidogs. The hot dog itself was about a foot long. Longer than the bun it was in. I ate the excess before diving into the whole hot dog. Overall it was a good meal. I would come back to try the other items on their menu. read more

Chili cheese dog: pretty good. The "dog" was great, had a nice snap to the casing; texture was a grind (not smooth) which was good; slightly salty but not so much that it was distracting. The bun was too small (I mean, Sonic can do a foot-long bun, come on!); the chili was mediocre at best. Had a slightly greasy mouth feel that was a little off putting. Quesadilla: HUGE -this is easily a meal for 2 people. Taste: ok. The beef seemed to have no seasoning and it was really overloaded with cheese, so much that the thing was dripping with grease. The pico and guacamole were very good and fresh, the cheese sauce was thin but tasted ok. The tortilla was really good, had a nice chew to it and held up to the cheese very well. The loaded fries: again, the beef was way under-seasoned. Other than that they were pretty good. Time waiting: was long. It was about 20 minutes and cars were piling up in the drive-through. I'd advise going inside to eat if you can for this reason alone. We will try them again, maybe a burger since they seem to be the stars according to the reviews. read more

Long John Silvers turned smash burgers and hot dogs. Nice change to the out of business LJS building that was here before. I had Footlong Chili Cheese Dog with Onion Rings ($1.50 upcharge & no homemade). The dog was bigger than the bread, not a fan. But overall it was a good dog. Onion rings were just like any other frozen battered onion rings. Will get fries next time and pass on upcharge (don't mind paying extra for quality). Burgers form other customers did look good so maybe I'll try one in the future. Not a bad place, nice decor inside.
