When I walked in no one was at the counter to take my order. After standing there for a few minutes I opened and closed the front door which has a chime letting the employee in the kitchen stick her head out in acknowledgment. Apparently if you enter through the patio door they can't hear you in the kitchen. Ordered a Thai milk tea with boba. I was actually surprised to get fresh, warm and perfectly sweetened boba. I ordered my drink at 50% sweetness since their drinks run pretty sweet. Indoor seating was impossibly cold so I set outside and got some work done in their beautiful patio. I love how it's gated and private.
Went a couple times after eating next door at Taegugki to take advantage of their discount when you show receipt. Their specialty drinks are fun and creative but very sweet and dessert-like. I personally prefer a light fruity tea so the Map of the Soul was my favorite. Though both times I've visited had very few people inside, it does look like they are very community-oriented with bulletin boards promoting lots of events and local small businesses. Love that!
Came over after a lunch at Taegukgi. If you bring your receipt, Yu get 20% off! Drinks were delicious and service was super nice! They don't have milk teas like more original boba shops, but their mix drinks are still yummy!
I've been going to the Korean Rose since it's opening! A couple of my go to milk tea flavors at Wintermelon and Honeydew. I love that they offer several alternative milks - almond, coconut, macadamia nut to name a few. I feel like it's definitely lively in the evenings and offers a nice quiet environment in the afternoons if you want to sip on something and work/study. They always have specials, you can't miss them. Like you literally can't miss them they are on a board right in your face when you walk in!!!! I always try to make an effort to stop here if I'm passing by!
I must be spoiled by the KBBQ from LA and Vegas but this place was not at all worth 43.99 per person for AYCE. I would have rather spent that at a steakhouse and not cook lol. The hostess didn't greet us and had no facial expressions, she asked how many and then said "sit down relax and I'll call you when ready", and walked away (guessing it was not her day). Joshua our server was new at serving and very sweet. He was doing his best at attending to all his tables but I think they were understaffed because it would take 8-12 min after asking for the next 4 proteins to receive them, by then our grill would be burning and our vent was not working to top it off so we got smoke inhalation each time we finished cooking. I almost asked for a fire extinguisher :-/ I knew I should have worn a shower cap cuz my hair was not having it lol. They ran out of regular shrimp and ice, so our refills weren't that cold. For an Asian restaurant, they DO NOT serve hot tea which is crazy. The sides were not appetizing except the potato salad and white rice (can't mess that up). Shrimp and chicken were not the best, but I will say the thin cut ribeye and the marinated short rib and sirloin were the only good things we enjoyed and luckily we all were able to get a ribeye each cuz I wasn't sharing that meat, nope! By the last ribeye (you only get 1 at a time) they had ran out so we didn't even get our last ribeye So for $200, my family ate white rice and a few meats. Definitely not returning
This was my first time visiting the Korean Rose, but I follow them on Instagram and one of my favorite things is that they are super community oriented. This cute boba shop is right next to a really delicious AYCE KBBQ restaurant, but they also host a myriad of community events with a focus on uplifting local small businesses and creatives. I love being able to support a business that shares the same values as me and not only do they show so much love for their community, but their drinks are good, too! Next time I stop in, I'll have to order their snacks.
I am not sure how I hadn't come here yet in the near two years they've been open, but wow! As soon as I saw that they make their coffee drinks with James, I was SOLD! I had the honey cinnamon latte with coconut milk and boba and I am OBSESSED. Our lovely worker behind the counter was so kind and patient while my aunt and I tried to figure out what in the world to order. She was available for all kinds of questions and really made this an amazing experience!
After a quick lunch, we decided to use our discounted ticket for some boba. I got the Vietnamese coffee with grass jelly. They allowed me to opt for less sugar at 50% which was just right. Although, I'll admit there was a bit too much ice. My husband's strawberry matcha was good too but I probably would try something else next time. Service was good. Drinks came out fast.
The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. Regular black iced coffee is $6.79 after tax. I tip a dollar so we're at nearly $8 which feels more like a treat to me. Other than that, the coffee is excellent. They might want to add more tables to make it feel cozy since it's pretty sparse, but since I've been there twice in the afternoon I didn't have problems finding a place to sit. Convenient location on Speedway, ample parking, fast service, friendly staff.
This boba place is right next door to Taegukgi so you can get your Lorean bbq fix and then stop by for a boba dessert. I've only been here a few times and have only tried two drinks. Matcha Maker drink is tasty, especially when you add brown sugar boba. The Korean Rose is refreshing with its butterfly pea tea and strawberry popping boba.
I've been to The Korean Rose a couple of times. I don't think their drinks are amazing (they use very generic boba ingredients: fruit syrup, boba pearls, different flavors of jelly), but I do think the owners are creative with the colors of the drinks and the names. The staff is always nice so I guess that makes up for the diabetes-inducing ingredients lol. I do wish the owners would look into adding more fresh fruit or healthier ingredients :) not throwing hate, because.... I get that I'm drinking boba after all. It is overall a super nice and spacious study space if that is what are looking for!
Popped in for a refreshing drink during my weekend in Tucson. They have a much different selection to choose from and I had a hard time deciding what to get! Settled on the Euphoria with yogurt boba. Absolutely refreshing - strawberry and citrus flavors this is part of their K-Pop series of drinks. Tasted wonderful on the hot afternoon day.
We love Korean Rose! We've been stopping at this spacious tea shop on the east side since the day they opened. The menu of drinks is so creative and yummy, and the standard milk used in the drinks is Lactaid, so it is a lactose free base for anyone sensitive to dairy! They also offer a variety of dairy and non-dairy milk options, teas, coffee, matcha, smoothies, lemonades and some decadent dessert drinks. You can customize your drink with flavored boba or jellies, too! (The Strawberry jellies are hearts and the mango jellies are stars, and rainbow jelly is also an option!) It is a really nice place for meetings during the day, getting some work done in your computer, or just spending some time out with friends or family. The tables have so much space between them it feels so comfortable inside, and the spacious patio is the same! This shop is also close to Bookman's, Mostly Books and more locally owned shops, so it makes a really enjoyable destination.

First time here. I had the Thai tea with Boba, and my friend had the honey jasmine tea. Very delicious! Loved the cups! The Staff was super helpful with the menu. Our Drinks were made fast. We sat inside and they had a couple of games to play. (Wish they had more, and some of the games were missing pieces/cards, but we still made due) They also have Wi-Fi. Five stars for The Korean Rose. It was so good, I came twice in one day. We first got a Hokkaido Milk Tea and a White Peach Green Tea. Both drinks were so good, the Hokkaido milk tea was not overly sweet, but definitely had the tea taste. It was the perfect blend of tea and milk with the most delicious boba. The white peach green tea was refreshing, it was definitely a green tea with a hint of peach again with the most perfectly cooked boba. The patio was also dog friendly which was a plus for me, we were able to enjoy our drinks and the weather (and a big big plus, we didn't get bit by bugs at all!). Later that evening, I went back and got the Tucson cooler, again perfection. I would however definitely recommend less ice when you order. The Korean Rose will probably be my go to boba spot in the area, can't wait to try more drinks! read more

I have tried multiple of their drinks. They are mostly good. I would however not recommend the grass jelly nor the boba toppings. They were both off. The grass jelly was not great in taste nor flavor. And the boba was hard in the middle read more
Located pretty deep from the I-10 but it's worth it! The cashier gave a nice brief about some of the drinks. We went with the POG (PASSION FRUIT + ORANGE + GUAVA REFRESHER with PASSION FRUIT JELLY + BASIL SEEDS) and the BLACK / JASMINE GREEN / OOLONG / THAI / WHITE PEACH GREEN Milk Tea (haha sorry for the CAPS, I copied pasted from their menu). The outdoor patio is covered and there's amazing mountain views. There's plenty of parking. I would definitely drop by again when I'm in Tucson. read more
Awesome! Awesome! And really cool design vibe. We picked up the other day between errands and it was the perfect pick me up. Went with classics, a Thai tea with boba and a Thai coffee. Delicious and beautifully orange! It's pretty spacious inside. I got the feeling I would've liked to come snack, chill and study here when I did those things. They did have some snacky foods. Our craving got us the mozzarella sticks, and they were...mozzarella sticks, nothing special, but did the job. There's even a nice patio to enjoy that Tucson weather with your boba. read more
I visited the Korean rose after BBQ (tip if you eat there and bring you receipt they offer a discount). For covid all the workers had their mask on. The tea is very unsweetened and if you are sweet fan like me I would definitely recommend getting the 100% sweetness. However, the boba in it is VERY sweet and even it out and is very soft and fresh. They also, have pastries for display at the cashier. The cup that it is in (as seen in picture) is very cute and even has a lid that resealable. The inside has very open light and even have a well spaced patio. They also have loyalty program just add your phone number. Overall great place to go after BBQ but it's nothing amazing or would remember of the drinks except for the innovated cup. read more
I was so excited to try this place! I met my son for some milk tea and we both really enjoyed our drinks! He had the honey milk tea which I was considering too but instead I selected the brown sugar. It was a bit sweet but that didn't stop me from drinking the entire cup. It's got a super pleasant vibe inside and I'm looking forward to returning and trying more drinks! read more

SOFT OPENING 10/30. Staffing are absolutely great! Super helpful with any questions you have. This would be a great study spot/hang out if weren't for COVID19 but there is some seats for you to sit and wait. I got the Rose Blossom which was super refreshing and my hubby got the Korean Rose that he loves! Not too sweet and hits just the right spot. The total for two drinks came out to be $12 and some change for larges! I think there is only one size for the bobas/teas. They open at 7am for coffee and about 11:30am for the other drinks! Give this place a shot, its great! read more
If you're a boba snob like me then like me then look no further. I've had 3 drinks: the Korean Rose (specialty), taro smoothie, and strawberry cheesecake smoothie. The latter is my favorite of the trio. It's very cream cheese forward with pieces of graham cracker but not overly sweet. Dessert in drink form! The highlight among all drinks is the perfectly cooked tapioca pearls - chewy and sweet. I guess the Korean Rose is a specialty for a reason but I was disappointed that I couldn't adjust the sweetness or substitute the strawberry popping boba. I'm more of a traditional boba drinker so this was my first time trying the popping variety. I must say I enjoyed the popping sensation and it reminded my of eating pop rocks. The price/value and limited customization makes me hesitant to be a regular but I will be back to try the Purple Romance. read more

This was quite a drive from the NW side, but it was nice to have a variety of flavors and specialty drinks to choose from. I had ordered the POG and my daughters ordered the Korean Rose and brown sugar milk tea. I felt the Korean Rose was overly sweet and the POG was also on the sweet side, but the flavor was good. So when you order, just remember you can request to adjust the sweetness level. They also have different cheese cream flavors if that is your thing. They also have a great outdoor seating area to enjoy your drinks. read more

I heard about a new boba store's soft opening from Yelp Tucson, so how could I not come? While entering, my boyfriend and I were very impressed by the interior design. If I were to describe it in a word (or two), I would say BlackPink. There is definitely much influence from Kpop considering their menu items and music played in the store but I'm not complaining! However even if you weren't a fan, you wouldn't necessarily feel out of place either. There's a lot of potential for Korean Rose as a nice study place due to the vast amount of seating and how there's an outlet at every table. On to the actual drinks, I ordered my usual Jasmine Green Milk Tea with 50% sweetness and boba. As soon as I took a sip, I was pleasantly surprised by how true to the taste of jasmine the drink was. I appreciate our server, Lisa, for their sweetness level recommendation! I will say the boba were oddly shaped and had the taste sensation of gummy bears. Not bad but not to my preference either. My boyfriend got the Red Velvet Cheesecake, which was a nicely blended drink and exactly what you would expect from the name. Overall, this is definitely a place I'll come visit again and would recommend to others! read more

Korean Rose is connected to the BBQ place, don't make the mistake I did and go through the correct entrance! My server Bao was lovely. He gave me a great recommendation and explained some of the drinks on the menu that I wasn't familiar with. I ended up getting the Dole Whip which was delicious, sweet, and fresh. We ordered a strawberry lemonade and the signature Korean Rose. The lemonade was tasty and the signature drink was a bit tangy but delicious. It had the popping boba which was also interesting since regular boba is more chewy. This boba you would chew and it would pop with a liquid inside. read more

Love every boba drink I've tried. Taro milk tea with boba at 75% sweetness is my all-time fav. My daughter and I like to get the snacks here before heading to the ballpark for little bro's games. The chicken nuggets are always super fresh. Love this place! Very friendly and helpful workers. The special monthly drinks are fun to try! read more

I've tried Korean Rose twice now and both times were great. They have a big menu so you could probably try something new every time. So far we've tried Korean rose, POG, Tucson Cooler, and Monsoon breeze. POG has been my favorite. It was really refreshing and the basil seeds were a nice touch. We got boba in a couple of our drinks. They have excellent quality boba. They're perfectly cooked and not too syrupy. They have a great patio and a few seats inside. read more
I am a fan of bubble drinks and the Korean Rose did not disappoint. If you are looking for different tasting beverages, then you should give the Korean Rose a try. For example, I have not had taro since living in beautiful Oahu, Hawai'i since 2009. The Korean Rose has friendly and helpful staff and the place is very clean. I had the shmang which is made with Nutella Black Milk Tea and Taro Cheese Cream. I have been here twice in two weeks, and the first time I absolutely would have given the place five stars as the ladies who made the drinks were great. On the second occasion, there was another worker and the drinks were not nearly as memorable. I really hope the Korean Rose is successful and works toward a consistent experience. We will be back as I really want to try Taegukgi Korean BBQ located in the back of the same building. read more

Great service! The place is very spacious, for instance there were 2 groups of more than 10 that they were able to seat with more space to spare. The bar area has sports being played on the television sets. Ample outdoor parking and the servers were very professional, plus the food was great! Highly recommend. read more

The Korean Rose is a welcome sight & friendly space, whether you're here for a quick drink or trying to get some work done. Seating - 5/5 Tables of various sizes to accommodate different groups; indoor table spacing was perfect for social distancing. Menu - 5/5 Large variety of items on the menu, with adequate ingredient descriptions. Taste - 4/5 Map of the Soul was extremely sweet, and tasted like drinking liquid fruit candy (if you're into that, this is perfect for you). Shmang was delicious, and tasted similar to a cake (without being overwhelming). Oolong Milk Tea was straightforward and refreshing. It was a nice break between the two sweet drinks. Service - 5/5 Staff quickly offer to explain & show you anything you might have questions on. They are also very relaxed and friendly, while still efficiently pushing out orders. read more

Been coming to Korean Rose very often since they have opened its one of our favorite and only place we get boba now, found a piece of metal shred in my 3 year olds boba smoothie today. Very upset, please be more careful with how drinks are prepared. read more

One of my top favorite boba drinks ever! My go to is the Shmang.. Taro mixed with Nutella is genius. I do wish they had more than one size available. It's attached and in front of a Korean bbq restaurant so it makes for the perfect combo. read more
Been to this place 3 times and my daughter absolutely loves it. Though she only gets 1 thing she still loves it, its the psycho smoothie. I try a different drink every time. I have so many to go still. I want to try all the coffee drinks as well. The customer service here is great. They all try to help with what to choose or whats in the drinks. Their cups r cool too cuz u can reuse them. My daughter likes to collect them. The vibe of the place is very chill and relaxing. The patio outside is great. Another boba contender in Tucson! Ni Hao and Bing's should watch out (I love them both). Korean Rose's space wins. They have a huge patio and definitely give a cafe vibe. They even have a cute instagrammable spot inside. I've been 3 times and there has been a line each time. The staff are very friendly and they'll give you recommendations. The drinks take a little while (staff are probably figuring out operations since they're so new). I enjoy the boba pearls and the drinks are very creative. This is pricier than its boba competitors and there is only one side drink. I can't wait to try more! read more

This place has flavors I've never heard of before, as well as the classic milk teas. My husband (native Hong Konger) had the mango pina colada 2 weeks ago and he is honestly STILL talking about it. I decided to be adventurous and get the psycho. It was so different from any boba dessert I've had before, I loved it! It was so difficult to choose because they have so many fun and creative flavors, I can't wait to go back. read more
During the COVID pandemic, I avoided coming here because it's new, allowed indoor seating, didn't have online ordering and didn't offer drive-thru or curbside pick-up. But after getting vaccinated, I immediately visited. It turns out it's very safe with stickers on the floor for social distancing while ordering. The inside is very roomy because every other table is sectioned off for seating. The employees wore masked, and there is contactless payment. I tried many Asian-type fresh fruit teas before, but this is my first time trying them in Tucson. The menu offers a nice variety of iced teas, milk teas, smoothies, coffee, and lemonades. It's challenging to decide what to get because everything sounds very delicious. I tried one of their blended house specials, the Purple Romance: a taro-coconut smoothie with lychee jelly. I love the combination of flavors, and I will get it again. The colorful aesthetics of their drinks are incredible. Additionally, they serve snacks and bulgogi fries here as well. They were out of fries at the time, so I ordered a morning bun. Next time, I will eat next door at Taegukgi Korean BBQ and top it off with a drink at the Korean Rose. read more
