I didn't know this place existed until I happened to come across it on Yelp! I am Vietnamese and grew up eating Vietnamese meals, including delicious desserts. I'm so happy to have found this place ! You order at the counter and there is plenty of seating. I ordered the tri-color Vietnamese dessert called Chè Ba Mau, which translates literally to tri-color dessert. Chè is a traditional category of Vietnamese desserts that can range from sweet soups to puddings, and it often combines various beans, jellies, and fruits with coconut milk and shaved ice, traditionally. This particular one here consists of coconut milk, pandan agar jelly, red beans, and water chestnut coated in tapioca. The hubby ordered the grass jelly and coconut milk dessert. The grass jelly has a mild herbal depth and it is balanced beautifully by the smooth, lightly sweet coconut milk. Both are equally refreshing and sweet, with quality ingredients that really make it satisfying on a hot Tucson day. I absolutely will be returning here for future Vietnamese desserts!! read more

My friend recommended me to try this place, and I ordered their iced Taro coffee. First, I'm not usually a coffee drinker, but I enjoyed this drink honestly. It was moderately sweet, and the coffee was not overpowering. Second, I had their waffle pops with cheese and bacon, and it was decent. The barista was quick with my drink order, and they have a good amount of seating if you want study or do work in the shop as well. read more

Cafe Thắng is a hidden gem! I got the plum iced tea and my friend got the strawberry iced tea both were SO good. The plum had that perfect sweet-tart balance and was super refreshing over ice. The strawberry was fresh, fruity, and not overly sweet at all. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Everything tasted authentic and made with care. The drinks were beautiful, refreshing, and perfect for a hot day. Friendly service and such a cute spot for Vietnamese coffee and teas. read more

initially i though cocoa coffee ment chocolate so it was a surprise to me when the actual flavor was coconut. I didnt plan on loving this coffee flavor but i did! Im a mocha girl but trust me when i say their coconut flavor is bomb! this little shop is very cute and elevated. definitely be coming back. The restaurant was bright, clean and friendly. So many interesting drinks and desserts. We tried the oolong tea, Thang's Salted Cream Coffee, Tri color che. Grass jelly coconut. Everything was so good and flavorful. The coffee was strong and the salted cream was wonderful. The desserts were not too sweet and they were refreshing. read more

This is a pretty good size café right off the freeway. There's a lot of natural light that shines in and the aesthetic is very cutesy and put together. I came with a friend Wednesday around noon to do some remote work, so I immediately noticed that there is not very many places to plug-in if you need an outlet. I was however able to find one spot at a hightop table. It was pretty empty while we were in there as we were the only table who dined in for the approximately two hours we were there. They have a lot of different drinks on their menu, including Vietnamese coffee, smoothies, and milk teas. I ordered a taro smoothie and it was pretty light... I could've used a bit more of the flavoring. It also seemed to be more of a slushy, If that makes sense. There are just a few food items on the menu. My friend ordered the bacon and cheese bubble waffle snack. I thought it was going to be a bubble waffle, however, it was actually multiple small sticks of waffle bubbles with three bubbles on each stick. They came out hot and steamy. They were very soft and once we bit into them, they had the cheesy bacon flavor. It was a good amount of them so I would say they were a good value. read more

Cafe Thang is a very authentic Vietnamese coffee shop in every sense, even a bit comically and stereotypically so. It is very clearly family owned, as the child took my order at the counter. Very cute and he was so polite and professional! There is a mild smell of incense and traditional Vietnamese music playing over the speakers. I say all of this endearingly, as it pleasantly reminds me very much so of my childhood! The drinks were very tasty and I need to go back to try others. Fun Fact: owner was a former nail technician. Seeing that Tucson had no Vietnamese coffee and tea shops anywhere, he decided to open one up. Oooh I was excited to check this place out. My son without hesitation ordered the Pandan Milk Tea. As for me I wanted the Grass Jelly with Coconut Milk. The owner said it would be a 15 minute wait because he had to make the coconut milk. I don't know how he made it but it was bomb ass sipping yummy!! Perfect on this 105 degree day. Love all the cute little Vietnamese decorations around the shop. Their seating matches the color of their pandan drinks. Definitely come check this place out to get a taste of Vietnam. Wished we had a place like this in New Jersey. read more

I came here to try the newest drink pandan drink. Think of it like matcha's cousin. Super tasty drink! They also make a waffle out of it! My all-time time favorite is the Vietnamese coffee though. The vibe inside is casual and spacious and they are located right off the freeway which makes it super easy to get too! Cute little café with great drinks and great hours! Café Thang has a nicely decorated interior with plenty of seating, a great menu with so many delicious choices, and they close at 6:30 on weekdays. I had the Salted Cream, which was so smooth and the coffee was nice and strong. The serving size was good and the price was comparable to other places with similar menu items. The menu looks fantastic so I will definitely be back to try the some of the other offerings. I also like that they offer some Vietnamese desserts so you can eat something with your drink if you'd like. I also wanted to mention how accessible the place is. There are a few handicap parking spaces right in front of the Café and the seating inside makes it easy to move around whether you're in a wheelchair or walker or use a cane. The walk to the counter is also easy and uncluttered. Really appreciated this! If you haven't tried Café Thang, our rising temps are the perfect excuse to head over and cool down, while supporting an authentic Vietnamese hidden gem in Tucson. read more

This place is kind of a hidden gem. It is located in the old Food City shopping center off 6th Ave. it is very inviting to sit and chat for a while as you enjoy your drinks. Iced Salted Cream Coffee (Ca phe kem muoi): 5/5 This high-quality Vietnamese coffee, nestled between two layers of salted cream foam, is one of the best in Arizona, surpassing many in the Phoenix area. Its taste and quality remind me of Da Vien in Westminster, CA--a popular spot for Vietnamese coffee. Sugar Cane Juice (Nuoc mia): 5/5 This well-made sugar cane juice with kumquat strikes the perfect balance of sweetness and sourness. Each sip carries a hint of kumquat fragrance, making you forget any guilt about the sweetness. I also tried the Sugar Cane Mixed, which includes peanuts, durian, coconut jelly, and other toppings. Unfortunately, they were out of durian when I ordered, so I can't comment on the drink yet. Pandan Iced Tea (Tra la dua): 5/5 It's rare to find a restaurant offering an exotic tea drink with freshly extracted pandan juice mixed with high-quality steeped tea. I've only seen this in authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Los Angeles/Westminster and Vietnam. It's a treat to find it in Tucson! This drink is as authentic as it gets. If you're looking for something new and refreshing, give the Pandan Iced Tea a try! Trying out a new place. I have been craving pandan coffee and Vietnamese coffee. And I heard this place has fresh sugarcane drink. And I always get passion fruit tea when I can. That's what I ordered at this place and I will be coming back. It's a little far for me but I will trek my way back here with some friends to get some more. The service was great and it is relaxed here if you want to just hang with friends and get a nice cold drink. Mmm mmm mmmmm! When my friend, Thỉnh, showed me a TikTok about a Vietnamese cafe in Tucson, we both said in unison, "We gotta try this place out!". The cafe is a great study spot, with plenty of seating and a still ambience. They also have karaoke and arcade machines if you want to take a quick study break. As for the drinks, we had a tough time choosing between all of the drinks that reminded us of the motherland. The flavors and tastes were authentic and you can't beat the prices! This cute little shop was right off the freeway, and had amazing service. I ordered the original milk tea and it came out fast, and was delicious. This place has a wide variety of drinks that you don't see elsewhere, like Vietnamese coffees which aren't common. A delightful surprise! Tried my first egg coffee and it's going to be a thing! Creamy and delicious... not eggy! The coffee was potent and together with the egg cream foam -a great mix. I got mine hot and because they make their stuff fresh and to order it takes a little longer than the cold drinks. But who cares? The very short wait gave me the time to take in the cute cafe and catch up on some messages. Ample parking. Super nice service. read more

Friday afternoon, there were no customers. Yet I walked in with 4 behind the counter and not one greeted and/or acknowledged me. I also had to ask who I order from. Deco was nice. No airflow, no fans made our stay not too pleasant. 2 stars for my Salted Cream drink. My friends hot coffee was cool to the taste. Won't return. read more
