I didn't know this place existed until I happened to come across it on Yelp! I am Vietnamese and grew up eating Vietnamese meals, including delicious desserts. I'm so happy to have found this place ! You order at the counter and there is plenty of seating. I ordered the tri-color Vietnamese dessert called Chè Ba Mau, which translates literally to tri-color dessert. Chè is a traditional category of Vietnamese desserts that can range from sweet soups to puddings, and it often combines various beans, jellies, and fruits with coconut milk and shaved ice, traditionally. This particular one here consists of coconut milk, pandan agar jelly, red beans, and water chestnut coated in tapioca. The hubby ordered the grass jelly and coconut milk dessert. The grass jelly has a mild herbal depth and it is balanced beautifully by the smooth, lightly sweet coconut milk. Both are equally refreshing and sweet, with quality ingredients that really make it satisfying on a hot Tucson day. I absolutely will be returning here for future Vietnamese desserts!! read more

My friend recommended me to try this place, and I ordered their iced Taro coffee. First, I'm not usually a coffee drinker, but I enjoyed this drink honestly. I always come here and the older owner is super nice, he makes it an amazing experience all the time. I came today, and some other younger guy was working who I've never seen til today. He was SO rude. I ordered and he kept giving me the dirtiest look, and told me if I ordered it this way it won't be good. I said I order here 24/7, I don't see the issue. This is a pretty good size café right off the freeway. There's a lot of natural light that shines in and the aesthetic is very cutesy and put together. I came with a friend Wednesday around noon to do some remote work, so I immediately noticed that there is not very many places to plug-in if you need an outlet. I was however able to find one spot at a hightop table. It was pretty empty while we were in there as we were the only table who dined in for the approximately two hours we were there. They have a lot of different drinks on their menu, including Vietnamese coffee, smoothies, and milk teas. I ordered a taro smoothie and it was pretty light... I could've used a bit more of the flavoring. It also seemed to be more of a slushy, If that makes sense. There are just a few food items on the menu. My friend ordered the bacon and cheese bubble waffle snack. I thought it was going to be a bubble waffle, however, it was actually multiple small sticks of waffle bubbles with three bubbles on each stick. They came out hot and steamy. They were very soft and once we bit into them, they had the cheesy bacon flavor. It was a good amount of them so I would say they were a good value. read more

Cafe Thang is a very authentic Vietnamese coffee shop in every sense, even a bit comically and stereotypically so. It is very clearly family owned, as the child took my order at the counter. Very cute and he was so polite and professional! There is a mild smell of incense and traditional Vietnamese music playing over the speakers. Fun Fact: owner was a former nail technician. Seeing that Tucson had no Vietnamese coffee and tea shops anywhere, he decided to open one up. Oooh I was excited to check this place out. My son without hesitation ordered the Pandan Milk Tea. As for me I wanted the Grass Jelly with Coconut Milk. The owner said it would be a 15 minute wait because he had to make the coconut milk. I don't know how he made it but it was bomb ass sipping yummy!! Perfect on this 105 degree day. Love all the cute little Vietnamese decorations around the shop. Cafe Thắng is a hidden gem! I got the plum iced tea and my friend got the strawberry iced tea both were SO good. The plum had that perfect sweet-tart balance and was super refreshing over ice. Cute little café with great drinks and great hours! Café Thang has a nicely decorated interior with plenty of seating, a great menu with so many delicious choices, and they close at 6:30 on weekdays. I had the Salted Cream, which was so smooth and the coffee was nice and strong. The serving size was good and the price was comparable to other places with similar menu items. The menu looks fantastic so I will definitely be back to try the some of the other offerings. I also like that they offer some Vietnamese desserts so you can eat something with your drink if you'd like. I also wanted to mention how accessible the place is. There are a few handicap parking spaces right in front of the Café and the seating inside makes it easy to move around whether you're in a wheelchair or walker or use a cane. The walk to the counter is also easy and uncluttered. Really appreciated this! The cafe is a great study spot, with plenty of seating and a still ambience. They also have karaoke and arcade machines if you want to take a quick study break. Trying out a new place. I have been craving pandan coffee and Vietnamese coffee. And I heard this place has fresh sugarcane drink. And I always get passion fruit tea when I can. That's what I ordered at this place and I will be coming back. It's a little far for me but I will trek my way back here with some friends to get some more.
