This is a great little motor lodge. Don't expect the Marriot and you won't be disappointed with this small town motel. My king room was spacious enough for myself, but the bathroom is small. Shower is small (knocked the knob a few times while turning around). The innkeeper lives on site and he was very friendly and welcoming with my late check in. If you're looking for a great, comfortable place with a bed and a shower, look no further than the Lake Pleasant Lodge. Oh, and the view is spectacular across the lake. Addendum: On a clear night you can step right outside your room and see the entire starlit sky; an absolutely breathtaking sight!

This is a reasonable place . It has a beautiful view and close to the eateries , store , and new brewery. Rooms have a microwave and small refrigerator. There's a beautiful outdoor fireplace overlooking the Lake and mountains. I loved the experience of eating my lunch in the gazebo surrounded with flowers by the water !!

Newer room, pleasant decor, micro, fridge, small TV, clean and quiet

Right on the shore of Lake Pleasant, with a gazebo, Adirondack chairs and lawn area overlooking the beautiful lake. Rooms are modern, have a bit of a view, are clean, with pleasant woodsy decor, a microwave, fridge and small TV. A one story motel with parking outside your room, it's my favorite type of stop-great location, solid rooms, quiet and helpful front desk, even if they didn't have ice!

We stayed in one of their efficiency units-- which had a small kitchen stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans-- there's also a BBQ available if you want to grill something. When we stayed there back in August, there was a little farm vegetable and fruit stand in front of their place--which was terrific, because we were able to get fresh veggies and fruits to have for with our meals. We also rented a canoe and a kayak to spend time in the evening and morning on the beautiful lake watching and listening to the loons. Additionally, there's fire wood for sale if you just want to sit by the fire pit in the evening while gazing at the stars. We highly recommend this lovely place.

We were able to ship supplies to them for restocking for our hike, and upon arriving early (before 1) we found our room ready and waiting for us and our package already in the room. The room was clean and fresh, not in the least musty like many motels can be. There is laundry service on site, as well as grills and picnic tables, boating options and firewood. We spent a pleasant afternoon sitting on the porch. The next morning the owners were there early with fresh coffee and homemade coffee cake still warm from the oven. A wonderful family run motel that makes you feel at home.

After 42 miles on the trail individuals in the group had some equipment issues that needed immediate attention before committing to the next 45 mile section of trail. We were not anticipating staying in Piseco but it was a must. We approached this picturesque historical Adirondack property (not far from Piseco Bob's and the NPT trailhead) after 4 days on the trail... without a shower... to inquire about rooms to sort our issues in a dry place. We smelled like a gang of wet bears that just emerged from hibernation... wandering a hot landfill for food; absolutely repulsive. The inn keeper, Jen, is very accommodating to hikers. She was able to rent us 3 rooms (cheaper than any mainstream hotel ...anywhere on the planet), offered us hot coffee, and assisted us in finding laundry services to clean our heavily punished clothing. We were also invited to the $12 breakfast buffet and told to make ourselves at home while on the property (kayaks, beach, porch, etc). Jen and her staff are amazing humans and infinitely accommodating. They are truly the unsung trail angels of the NPT.

Initially, we had a little trouble getting a hold of them to make the reservation, but once we had that taken care of it was pretty much everything we could ask for. We arrived later on in the evening the first night, so we couldn't actually see much around the B&B and went to dinner. We came back, opened a bottle of wine, sat on the back porch, and stared at what was probably the most stars either of us had ever seen. Then we went to bed. When we woke up, we were not expecting what we saw - shrouded in a morning mist (sounds cheesey - but this is the real deal), the back of the place overlooked the Moose River, a calm portion that almost made up a small lake. It was really amazing, and as it cleared up we were just thrilled to have chosen the place. Access to free canoes and kayaks - which we took full advantage of. The landscaping and area leading down to the river was very nice, a great place to relax after a day of being a tourist or after some light kayaking. The river was very nice, meandering with houses here and there along the shore, perfect for a lazy canoe or kayak trip. Also lots of turtles, water birds, etc., I'd imagine the fishing would be pretty good too. They also have a sweet, sort of vintage tandem bike - good times. We went to have breakfast - a really nice continental - and the owners were really lovely. Super friendly and helpful re: getting around and finding things to do, Stuart and Jimmy were really great. They weren't obtrusive, but made sure we were well taken care of. The room was very nice, everything was sort of an Asian/Northwoods/Antique-y mixture that wasn't too gaudy but you still knew you were in a B&B. If you're planning on hitting upstate New York and you want to stay some place affordable (it was $79/night for 3 nights during the week - you can stay at a crappy hotel for that much or more), this is not to be missed. Friendly, beautiful, and really close to perfect to be totally honest - we were fully satisfied and talk about going back whenever it comes up.

I am so glad we stayed....the location is amazing, and the view from our room was breathtaking. We actually arrived after dark, so we didn't really have an idea of the surroundings when we fell asleep but the inn is just charming inside, so we knew we'd found a gem. The B&B is situated right on the Moose River, and we awoke after a restful evening to birdsong and a clear, lovely day. We stayed in the Farquharson room; it featured a private bath and a large, comfy bed. The picture window was an ideal foil to the morning mist that was just clearing from the Moose River, and once the drapes were drawn back we had a gorgeous, sweeping view of the river and the lush backyard. After getting ready for our day, we headed downstairs and were pleasantly surprised to find several small, cafe-style tables in the dining area. In most B&Bs that we've experienced, there is one large table that can make for a great or horrible experience over breakfast, simply depending upon your table mates. With the small tables, we could choose to talk with our neighbors or not, which is great for one who is not completely sociable prior to her first cup of coffee in the morning. Breakfast was delicious - we started with fresh fruit and yogurt, and then moved on to an amazing, golden-toasty-brown quiche and yummy potatoes. The rates are beyond reasonable and this inn is not to be missed - if you're in the Adirondacks (or just pining for a weekend away), you need to stay here!
