We had a GREAT experience at The Lash Boutique! Sylvia was the best, she asked what we were looking for with lashes and explained everything she was going to do. This was the first time my sister and I have had lash extensions and we will definitely be back to Sylvia. The process took about 90 minutes, we didn't wear eye makeup there so that helped. When Sylvia finished she asked how we liked it and if we wanted anything different. We LOVE this look and appreciated the little starter kit for taking care of our lashes. The starter kit had cleaner, a wand, etc. The location is convenient as was parking. There were many other services provided here too (waxing, microblading, etc). I went back and forth on writing this or not because I have been a client longer than Sylvia had even been there and started the business. I was a client with the prior lady who started the girls up on lashes named Lori and she was so amazing, I have to be honest Katelynn is amazing as well and this review is not pertaining to anything with Katelynn at all. My experience with lashes from them has always been amazing as far as the quality lashes they do, however the level of rudeness and unprofessionalism is beyond what I could have imagined it to be. I am honest and will say that I was tardy by 5-10 minutes is a normal unintentional issue that I do have so I am trying to be fair when writing this review. My story is in the almost 8 years on getting my lashes done here, there was several occasions where I would be running 8 mins-10 mins behind, I would always send Sylvia a text and let her know I'm running behind and to make sure that it was still okay for me to come, if I didn't hear anything back I would go on in as usual. To my surprise, there was 3 different times where as I was pulling into the parking lot I would see Sylvia leaving in her car Without sending me a text that we would need to reschedule, no text nothing just show up to a scheduled appt and see her leaving. As a client, I never understood the level of unprofessionalism that it took to do that to a client and without a care but since I had been going there for so long I sadly let it slide. The last straw was when I was scheduled for a mini fill with Jalyn Moore and had an emergency with one of my horses (I have ottbs) one who is 21 years old and had severely choked on his morning grain that am and the vet had to be called out that am. Between the emergency and the chaos, I did not get to my phone until 20 mins after the appt to let her know what had happened after having thankfully saving my horses life. I apologized let her know what had happened and asked if we could reschedule. She replied the next day and got me rescheduled as usual. The day of the appt, I went in as usual, sat down in the chair, laid back with Sylvia across the room lashing one of her clients. Jalyn then says I'm just letting you know that I'm having to charge you for yesterday since I've had a lot of clients in the past that have missed appts and for here on out it's my new policy. To be honest, I was caught off guard because there was nothing said about her charging me for the emergency when we rescheduled until I'm at the appt and sitting in the chair. I told her I had an emergency and it was out of my control. Sylvia chimed in across the room and they both teamed up against me in what I felt like got heated. The worse part besides the rude and unprofessionalism was that this happened in front of the client she was lashing! Believe it or not, a few days later after things cooled off, I apologized to Sylvia. She responded that everything was okay no hard feelings but I needed to sign a new policy waiver and that I would need to apologize to Jalyn before any would lash me again, I said okay and I explained that I would do that but I do wish it was handled in a more professional way than in front of another client. About an hour later I received this message ...Tracey, We have valued you as a long time client. The Lash Boutique can No longer accommodate you as a client. We will refund your deposit for tomorrow.. to say the least, this has been very hurtful for me as I have been going to them for the longest time and spent thousands of dollars at the boutique. I hope this review isn't looked at as a way to humiliate or bash the lash boutique because they do amazing work but only to serve as a review of my personal story for others to read for testimonial purposes only. I wish Sylvia and Jalyn all the best sincerely, I just wish things weren't handled as unprofessionally and hurtful as they were. Best of luck read more
