I had watched a number of videos on YouTube about getting a keratin treatment on my naturally curly hair that enjoys volumizing itself in humid conditions. The process looked easy enough, however, because it was my first time I wanted to go to a professional. That's where Lindsey comes in. She is one of the senior stylist at Clipzone and is as knowledgeable and skillful as she is friendly. She explained herself every step of the way, and she even had an apprentice at her side that she was educating. Promise was also kind and jumped right into the process as well. I expected great things for my outcome. What I had witnessed on YouTube was nothing short of amazing. Lindsey and Promise did not disappoint me. Honestly, my hair had never looked better. It was smooth, beyond silky, and practically weightless. I couldn't believe the hair that was on my head actually belong to me! It was as if I had had a hair transplant. That was seven weeks ago and my hair still looks fabulous. In fact, my sister who has twice as much hair as me went and had the same treatment with the same two professionals at Clipzone. They were so kind they really went above and beyond to make us comfortable, welcome and confident. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. I went in for a Dermaplaing facial and had been in several times. This visit when I got on the table it broke and I fell into the wall before catching myself. I over heard the chatter between the girls working and how the table had broken before. Then they tried to cancel my appointment saying there wouldn't be time to complete it after resetting the room. When I went to leave the esthetician seen that I was crying and ended up doing my appointment. When I went to leave the lady at the desk body shamed me and said from now on we will make sure to have tables for body types like you. I did go back once more but was treated the same and body shamed again. No one ever asked how I was or filled out a report and my arm is still messed up from falling. I've been going here for about 3-4 years now and really enjoy the salon overall! The staff is always nice and kind plus the salon is super cute inside. It takes a bit of getting used to because of their level system (levels increase based on experience and pricing) with the different stylists they have working at any time. I'd say a solid 4.5! The only reason for losing .5 is that, I've had 3 different stylists due to what I think it's the level system as well as stylist just leaving for different opportunities which is completely okay just kinda stinks! Posting again because some reason my original post was taken down, but I feel like its important for people to know this before going there. Worst experience ever was treated with complete disrespect. I went in for highlights and my layers trimmed up. Ended up with a balayage and a very damaged, choppy, and uneven haircut. Was told multiple different prices and was told my estimate would be around $130. I ended up paying $217 before tip and my products I bought. The owner told me my stylist charges level 1 pricing but I got overcharged from what level 1 starting price is. The stylist was still in training and not very experienced. Not once did anyone come over to help or guide her through when I was her first balayage ever. She told me I was her guinea pig for the day, but I still had to pay level 1 pricing and got overcharged to level 2 prices. She kept asking me to guide her through the whole time since I'm a hairstylist as well, however in this situation I'm a client. My hair was very damaged and falling out from having foils left on for 3 hours (normally it would take 20-30 min since I'm a natural blonde and already had previous highlights). We had to cut length off my hair which I didn't want since I'm trying to grow my hair out and just had it cut a month ago. The owner Heidi was very rude and showed no compassion whatsoever. The owner who is a level 5 stylist told me she couldn't tell that my haircut was uneven or choppy. I told her I understand about the extra color bowls and I'm fine paying that I was just confused on why I was overcharged on the starting price. Eventually I was able to get the cut refunded ($32), but Heidi refused to give me back the extra money I was overcharged. My hair is not even close to what I was wanting and it was a very nerve wrecking experience. They handled the situation very unprofessionally. I've never been treated with such disrespect. read more

Made an appointment three days ago. Had a wonderful time I figured I'd bring my daughter in, created an appointment for her to come back in an hour and a half to have her haircut and just slightly curled,an hour into the appointment we were told that the next client was there for our hairdresser and that we had to go after the haircut they didn't have time to press and curl her hair Now is it because my daughter was the only black woman in there because she was black and I am a white woman and they took the time with me so that's kind of really leaning towards being racist and I will not frequent this business ever again, nor do I recommend it to any person that is going in to get their hair done. The hairdresser was willing to get her hair finished but the front desk told us that we had to go and they could not finish it because the next client was there. I am very upset for my daughter she deserves to have a pretty day. They had multiple hairdressers in there and I am sure that any one of them knows how to press or do a blowout and could have finished her hair. This is not professional and they have lost 2 clients today. We were not offered any kind of compensation for this issue. I am upset and very disappointed with this salon. read more

I had a horrendous experience. I have never written a bad review for anyone. I have never had a bad experience with ClipZone and I have been a loyal customer for many years. I scheduled an appointment for a haircut and chemistry treatment. My stylist, Kaitlyn, began by cutting my hair even when I asked her to show me how much would be taken off. I asked for two inches to be cut and it was closer to 4. She cut my hair before even doing my hair treatment. I have never had the treatment done after the haircut. She did not take her time to properly do the treatment. The whole process felt rushed and did not feel like she cared. Every time I have ever gotten a treatment done it is followed by a hot towel. Kaitlyn did not do this nor care to ask how I liked my hair. She left my hair noticeably uneven and all I asked for was to get my hair straight across. It was the worst experience. read more

First time ClipZone guest and SUPER satisfied! I have been looking for a stylist for the few years I've lived in Anderson and no one could quite get it right for me... I was given an appt with Paige and she knocked it out of the park. I have a LOT of super curly, blonde hair and it had been over a year since I had anything done. Needless to say i was a hot mess. She helped me achieve my hair goals and it looks flawless. I'm usually super picky and I felt 110% at ease the whole time she was working. The boutique is adorable and I LOVE that they carry imagine skincare as a former esthetician. The service was top notch and the pricing was reasonable for the outstanding value I received. 10/10 would recommend the salon, especially the amazing Paige!!!!! read more

I've never actually recieved a service here but I go with my significant other frequently. He is loyal to this place and doesn't trust anyone else with his haircuts! They have many services they offer, including hair, nails, skin and now Botox (limited availability). I love their selection of knick knacks around the front of the store. They are cute and witty, including signage, jewelry and an abundance of hair and nail products as well. If I didn't already have someone I was loyal to, I would definitely come here. read more

Amazing service, amazing people, amazing place. The only thing that I would prefer is that the prices were to decrease. I paid over $200 for a trim and partial hair dye with my makeup done. I feel like it was pricy, but that is the only thing i have to complain about. read more

Got my hair cut here for the second time since we've moved here. Great service and a very stylish hair style. The shampoo is a experience you have too get too understand. Head massage and they use this shampoo that makes your scalp all tinglely and it feels like it's having a party up there. Not the same salon it was 3 years ago or even before Covid. Dont do it!!! Went for a hair style and to have my makeup done. Drove an hour and a half on the day of this event because of how much I used to LOVE this salon. The hair stylist was no older then 20 and I wanted a half braided crown. She said she could do it, after trying to get two equal braids for 20 minutes she completes a do that's not at all a braided crown and tells me she can't do it. Another stylist sees, comes over, does my hair and teaches her. Whatever. It looked more like I was going to prom verses being nearly 30 but I'm running out of time at this point. Now the makeup, god lord, the girls makeup was so thick it was peeling off an 1/8 inch completely under her eyes. I'm thinking 'well maybe she's not good at her own makeup but surely with this professional products and airbrushing mine would be better. Nope!! she applied sooo much, and I wear a crap ton of makeup. Almost no primer, she powders my entire face 3 separate times! It looked nothing like I asked for. And the wings she did like comma marks like i did when I was 14. So she gets done. I look in the mirror and I as soon as I begin making an expression on my face the makeup cracked! That's how thick it was! So I told her I'd still pay but I did not like it, told her why, and washed it all off. Left with a red bare face. Had no time to do my makeup myself. My hair lost its curl about an hour later so my sister redid it. Tipped everyone. Will never be returning. read more

I don't usually give bad reviews but I thought I would share in hopes that the owner would pay attention to it. First let me say that from the amount of business they have, they must do something right. Always busy. That being said, this is the second time I've gone in for nail services, which the regular nail girl was not available. The first was a pedicure in which the girl was inexperienced. It was quick and not pampering at all. The second time was for a manicure. My nails are in bad shape so they definitely needed a good soak, file, etc. Again, while the girl was totally sweet, she was very inexperienced. She said they don't soak hands there. She didn't know how to use the cuticle scissors as my cuticles are very sore. I still have hang nails and dirt underneath from gardening. Just because they learn all fads of work done in a salon, doesn't mean that is what they've chosen as their field. While there, I observed a couple of stylists doing pedicures. I would have been better off if they told me that they didn't have anyone available. I would also like to add that I have had other services there such as facials and waxing which I have no complaints. read more

I have had manicures and pedicures at Clipzone for a few years. Kaitlin is the person I prefer. She always does an incredible job. In the past I always requested my favorite shade of teal. The last one I had there I had to choose a different color. They had reduced their color choice from 70+ to about 30. They changed companies. Once again, Kaitlin gave a great manicure. However, the polish is inferior. My thumb peeled back within an hour. I, then, noticed I could see brushstrokes. The other polish was perfect. Many nails have chipped within a week. My precious gel manicures lasted for almost three weeks. By the way, I had tried other people for manicures and pedicures and most were incompetent. My nails looked like I had had three weeks of growth when I left. They should not have let anyone do nails unless the managers have tested them. Awful experience. I went for acrylics and eye brow wax. The nail girl didn't talk at all and did an absolute terrible job on my nails. They were coming up after about 2 days. As for my eyebrows...I can't even begin to describe how embarrassed I was. I gave her specific directions on how I like my eyebrows done. I'm very particular about them. She completely disregarded what I wanted and did what she wanted. I was left with gaps in my eyebrows from where she wasn't careful with the wax. She had to fill in bald spots she left with an eyebrow pencil. I left in tears and I'm currently still trying to get them back to normal. Please be cautious. I'm new to the area and didn't know where to go or who to trust with waxing so I thought I'd give them a shot. Huge mistake. read more
