I have two of the toners, the eye cream and the hydrating serum. I get SO many compliments on my skin! Bethany is a warm, wonderful, knowledgeable person who really, truly cares that she gives you the best possible experience she can. Her presence during treatments is very calm and you can barely hear her moving around. She has everything prepped ahead of time, so there's no fussing with product or messing around with extraneous things. Every single contact that she makes with you has a purpose and a reason. From brushing your hair out of the way to start a facial, to doing a hand massage while a masque sets - nothing is rushed. Skin Esteem has such a great, calming vibe to it, that you can't help but be relaxed when you walk in the door. The colors and tones that Bethany has chosen are beautiful. The waiting area is bright, airy, and welcoming, while her treatment room has an earthy, warm, calm, luxe feel to it. I've been to spas in really expensive hotels (Ex: The Mandara Spa @ Atlantis in the Bahamas) and the service I get from Bethany blows them out of the water. It's not even a comparison. My eyebrows were long overdue for a touch up. I haven't waxed them in years as I have been having them threaded in New York for a long time now. I quickly realized threading services certainly aren't as common in NH/ME so I started looking for viable waxing services and that's what led me to Aviva. Alisha was so warm and accommodating immediately, and the space is beautiful, clean and calming. Alisha and I chatted throughout my waxing and she's incredibly friendly, interesting and kind while not getting distracted from giving me truly impeccable eyebrows. She was gentle and meticulous and made sure I knew what she was doing and was ok with the direction she was taking with shaping my brows the entire time, which I really appreciated. I have naturally very thick dark eyebrows and they really do make such a difference on my face depending on the shape so I'm particular. Everything was perfect, virtually pain free. She used an antiseptic first, then some powder and then wax. And then repeated the same in reverse order after she finished waxing me. Very quick and not too painful. It's a small little place but has the usual salon services at the usual prices. In case you find it difficult finding the salon, it's on the 2nd floor of a building that has a better store on the first floor. There is paid metered parking outside the salon. If you don't find enough information online you can leave her a voicemail. She responds pretty quickly. Do try this place out. She's really sweet :)
