This salon is quiet and is very relaxing. The employees are polite , talented,friendly and accommodating.

Most comfortable waxing experience ever! I was nervous going into to see a fairly recent graduate as I couldnt keep appt with 12 yr veteran pro Ashley. Anna P confidently assured me I was in good hands and she proved it. Lets face it waxing isnt fun and she made me as comfortable as possible. I was so pleased that I booked a pampering facial later that day. I received a thorough and relaxing facial with ocean wave background sounds. Anna topped it off with an upper body massage. OMG when someone shows up in your life and pour great energy into the service they provide, I pay attention, recommend and come back. There is only 1 reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars is residue wax seems to have stained my dress. If I can get it out I'll upgrade this review to 5 stars!!! The Spectra Salon has been around for a long time and has a really nice vibe. Brief convo with Owner tells me she's hands on & cares. Her approach to supporting new talent by employing them seems to be a winning recipe for client satisfaction. I highly recommend Anna for waxing and facials. read more

Great experience! Just moved to NH so I needed a new place to go. Found them on Yelp and hoped for the best. Had a cut and Brazilian hair treatment with Carol. I wanted to treat myself while on vacation, so I made an appointment to get a facial. I've had facials many times before, but don't do it very often. I got Katie and will ask for her again. I'd never been here, but read other reviews and decided to give it a try. On appearances alone I'd give this place 5 stars. Very clean, well equipped, and exactly what a spa should be. Katie was very thorough. I've been breaking out for no reason lately and I have some allergies to certain products, she was very careful to choose just the right products for me and explained the purpose of each part of the treatment. She was very relaxed and made me feel very comfortable. My skin looked so much better when she was done. Best facial I've ever had. No question about it. On the way in, I broke my nail and asked if they could squeeze me in for a shaping and polish change. No problem. Ashley did my nails and she was great. I have natural nails and have them shaped stiletto style, she fixed the nail I broke and had me re-polished in no time. Everybody at Spectra was friendly and professional. Honestly, one of the most well organized spa/salons I've ever visited. So good in fact, I think it's worth the drive to have all my future facials done here. read more

It's hard to find a hair stylist when you travel for work and have curly hair. I was in a bind, needed a late afternoon cut and dye for a trip to New Orleans. My roots were about 2 inches long (it had been a WHILE) so my hair was light brown/grey at the roots and dark brown everywhere else. I wanted short to medium layers and dark brown dye. Pretty simple. The stylist, Jessie Hicks, was extremely friendly (which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1), but when she was shampooing my hair, she acted like she was afraid to touch my head. I usually love this part, but it was uncomfortable instead of relaxing. When she was finished cutting and dyeing and started blow drying, she kept running her fingers thru my hair, which would have only frizzed it out, so I gave her a $20 tip (making the total wasted about $120) and left. The next day in the sun, on my way to the airport, my girlfriend asked, "What happened to your hair?? I thought you had it dyed?!?" Looked like it hadn't even been dyed and the top layer I don't believe was touched. It was AWFUL. Bottom lawyers were ok with a very long lawyer on top. I looked (still look) ridiculous. When I returned to Massachusetts and was finally able to reach Jessie, she seemed to blame me and was completely unconcerned. Very blasé about the whole thing. It was insulting. I even apologized to HER (my bad), saying I never complain and that it really DID look terrible. I'm back in Seabrook living now and even tho I lost $120, I have no desire to speak to someone who can't be the slightest bit concerned that she pretty much ruined my trip home. A week vacation and I don't have a single picture I would show to anyone. If you do go here, make sure uour stylist is anyone but Jessie Hicks. read more

I went in last minute, I called at 5 to see if they could do a full set. I went in and instead of trying to rush because they close at 6 on Sundays they gave a true royal treatment. Linda gave me the best pedicure I've have in a long time. Kimmy came over and started doing my nails and it was just fabulous. My nails came out so elegant and classy. They were both so attentive, I had such a long week and it was exactly the reset for a new week that I needed. Since coming to NH eight years ago, I have gone to Julie, who now works at Spectra Salon and Spa in Hampton. She is a wonderful massage therapist who listens to what you need and fine tunes your massage session to fit your needs! I always feel comfortable with Julie and feel great when I come out! Had a very bad spray tan done here. They were overbooked so tried to get me to book 45 minutes later. When I couldn't wait that long, they were annoyed. Front desk girl, blond and young, had an attitude. The girl who did my tan, Katie, did it so light that it didn't look much like a tan and then forgot to do my hands and feet. I went back the next day to "fix" the hands and feet problem and that woman was extremely nice and spayed my arms over just so it would look more like a tan. I have had my hair cut there before and the hair stylist was good. I would just never have a spay tan done there. Forgetting the hands and feet? Really? Also, would recommend replacing the blond girl that greets you at the front desk. read more

I had an ok experience here, it was efficient and my nails came out fine. There was a great color selection and it was super crowded when I was there during the summer. My service was quicker than what I'm used to and there wasn't the full service experience. The prices were ok so it kindof balances out. They get the job done and I don't have any complaints. read more

I love Spectra!! They are always so accommodating and great with squeezing me in if they can when I call last minute! I'm not sure why people are saying they're overpriced - $10 for an eyebrow wax compared to $13 to $15 at other local salons seems pretty amazing to me for what you get! (I have never had a bad eyebrow wax here EVER!) The only downfall is that they're closed on Mondays - which is when I have most of my free time!!! :) read more

A couple of weeks ago, I booked a facial, manicure, pedicure, and haircut at Spectra. It was all pretty expensive for this area. The facial was quite ordinary. I wanted to have it because of winter flakiness -- and was just as flaky after the facial as before. Pedicure was very nice -- and the manicure, a gel manicure, looks as good now, 12 days later, as it did the day I got it, apart from a small amount of nail growth. The gel manicure is more expensive than other places, though (and I'm not referring just to the Asian salons which are less expensive in all categories). Haircut was good. The overall feel of the place is pleasant. I'll be back for haircuts and manicures. read more

When I asked for a breakdown on costs, they got defensive telling me about why they are expensive, I merely wanted to know what I was paying for. I was vacationing for the week and found Spectra through a Google search and made an appt for a much needed pedicure. The woman who answered the phone (I think it was Louise) was SO friendly and inviting. I got there and the place was so warm and clean, the pedicure chairs were nicely spaced out, not on top of each other like is typical in NY. I put on the back massage feature and Jen gave me SUCH a good foot massage and a beautiful French pedicure. I had such a relaxing time and was able to catch up on my ipad reading. They have so many cute scarves, jewelry, etc, for sale, I also got myself a new pair of earrings. I'll definitely be coming back here each time I'm vacationing!! :) read more

We went here for a spa day the day before my sister's wedding--we were a party of 9 people. The staff were exceptionally friendly and nice. Everyone said the massages they received were fantastic. It was my first pedicure and I can say that I enjoyed it. Even on our way out the owner gave us a little gift of maple scrub and lotion for each person. I love Spectra salon. it is close to my house and yet feels like an oasis. I have had a manicure, pedicure, massage, and my hair cut here. The message was great and my nails came over amazing and lasted a long time. Every time i get a manicure here, my nails stay long a hard for a long time after i even remove the nail polish because they shape them correctly. This is the only place i get my hair cut and it always comes out looking great. read more
