The staff / team has been very responsive to any questions and relaying information There are primarily two types of activities / events to do monthly: food delivery and a birthday luncheon. Volunteers can sign up for as much as they want to do, or opt out for that month; the online portal makes signing up very simplistic nowadays. There are more activities throughout the year (e.g. holiday parties and visits) that are available, which means more options to volunteer. The staff and fellow volunteers are very friendly and range in age from teenagers to retired adults. Lastly, the elderly that we volunteer for are always appreciative, grateful nd love socializing, which makes volunteering that much more fun and rewarding.

Between the time you call to inquire about the program until the time you successfully graduate from the program you will feel the professionalism, compassion and love. If entered into the program they will partner you with people who will help you with your career, finances, budgeting, education, health and so much more. It is a wonderful place for women who are looking to make a difference in their community. I was a member of this league for 2 years and they were phenomenal. I had the opportunity to work on committees within and outside of the League. I recommend this group for anyone new to Chicago or anyone looking to pick up a few more girlfriends. I've made lifelong friends from this group and look forward to joining the League of San Francisco. While I understand that the League is not for everyone, I do know it's for me. I will be a member of the League for a very long time. It is truly an organization that grows with you.

Our little one LOVES coming to school- she squeals in excitement when we pull up, and rushes to the door to see Ms. Karen and Mr. Paul in the morning. She giggles and is so proud of herself in the afternoon waving goodbye to Ms. Serenity and her teachers, with her little "bye bye". Ms. Sheila and Ms. Tamilla in the infant room take such amazing care of her, that most days she doesn't want to come home! She absolutely loves being at school with her teachers and friends, and that says SO much about the staff and their dedication to the children. We can't imagine a better place to take care of our little girl as she grows up. We have gotten so many compliments on how well socialized she is- and we credit LKLC and their amazing team every time. We couldn't have been on this journey without you! They threaten pretty much breathing so, if you want food and shelter and hate breathing, this is the shelter for you. Edit: they are pretty much run by incompletent staff, and they are about as useless as space matter on planet earth. Making threats and acting like no one else is allowed to make any decision. No bathroom, no water, no food after a certain time, it's run like prison.

I've volunteered for countless field trips for my 3 kids over the years and Cradles to Crayons is…read moremy personal favorites. My son's class came here to help sort thru the many many bags of donations they receive. I thought the staff at Cradles to Crayons did an amazing job explaining to a group of 3rd graders how this was an opportunity to help those less fortunate and love that they also got to help with the process. We spent a few hours sorting thru piles of clothing and dividing them into different categories (winter coats, girls short sleeve shirts, skirts to name a few). The kids had a lot of fun and even got a few chuckles when they came across things like bras and thongs, which were thrown in the "recycle bin." After a few hours of work they took a tour of the amazing facility, ate lunch and the Cradles to Crayon staff wrapped it up by praising them on their hard work! My son mentioned it was a super fun day and I think he enjoyed it more than the other field trips we've taken this year (ex: Chicago History Museum). I've now been here 3 times for field trips with my kids and each time I make a note that I need to come separately of school. This time I'm determined to make the time to donate my time to this amazing organization and great excuse to clean out my closets ahead of time to make a donation!
