Our 7 month old daughter attended this location for 1 week and we had several concerns. The first was child to teacher ratio, though we had been told they complied to the state mandated ratios, more than once in less than a week we found more than 4 babies per teacher upon pick up. The second was how a lock down was handled. We received an email first thing in the morning that the daycare was on lock down and children couldn't be accepted. When the all clear was given, there was no context provided and upon calling we had to make multiple phone calls to get through- and did not get a clear answer as to why police had directed the lockdown. We thankfully had not yet brought our daughter in, but I can not imagine my panic if this was how poorly they had communicated danger and she was already in the building. When I called to express concern, I was told this is how they "usually communicate lockdowns" and did not seem to understand my concern.

Our daughter has a speech delay (nothing more, we checked) and her ASQ scores reflected as such. All of a sudden, the Early Learning Center's attitude changed. They suddenly had to "double check" if there was an opening and also wanted to add an interview step before we could enroll. The ELC director was not comfortable with our daughter's position and wanted to "see if [name] was a good fit for the school." If they did decide to enroll our 2-year old daughter, they wanted to see her speech therapist notes regularly. Good grief. These kids are 2. Not very "Christian" to size up a 2-year old and discriminate against a little girl who is a little behind in talking... Doesn't really say much about the ELC teaching staff either if they can't support a very small delay. Cascade Christian's attitude toward our daughter and her abilities made my family feel very unwelcome. Unbelievable and gross behavior from a "Christian" school.

After my daughter had been enrolled and several phone calls throughout the day to finalize the process she called me and said she had decided to change her mind stating "this is a family daycare and you are not a good fit for us ". She heavily discriminates against single households as well as young mothers. She gave strong insinuations about my morals and principles being a reason my child could not be enrolled speaking as though i should be disgraced for my family because it did not fit her guidelines as "this is a FAMILY daycare." Maam my child very much well should not be treated differently because of your uncomfortable nature with young or single moms! Very gross unprofessional behavior that has left a scar over several months. The employee i worked previously with was Abagail. Overall very relieved my daughter did not end up enrolled here given the nature of the director and questionable morals.
