In the last few months multiple teachers have left and they've brought in multiple new teachers with limited experience. My child has been hurt there a handful of times in the last few months as well. Through covid they have also closed at times and did not refund any of the missing weeks to the parents (Thousands of dollars)... there's been multiple small issues over the years. I cannot speak for ALL Malvern schools but this location has blamed most issues on "corporate". I'd look elsewhere for solid child care.

I repeat I do NOT send my child here. I was specifically looking for a prek program for my child. At first glance the upstairs where the "older kids" are taught is really nice. Colorful, lots of computers, games, art displayed, well lit classrooms with sunlight. Then I toured the rooms and "met" the "teachers". The first room I saw kids in disarray- some coloring over themselves with markers, some fighting over toys, some begging for the potty, WHILE THE "TEACHER" SAT IN THE BACK SIPPING ICED COFFEE ZONED OUT AND HAD HER PHONE OUT. (I use the term teacher really lightly here- bc I have family who are teachers and are amazing and care so deeply about their job that they would be so upset about what these "teachers" we're doing). Upset and disgusted could be the polite way of putting it. Your trusting your kids- the most precious people in the world- with someone who couldn't have paid less attention to them. Never got up once to help the gets let alone acknowledge me a prospective parent. Ok bad experience but there's a 2nd room- that one must be better. No. I walk into a room where a little girl was struggling to open a book bag as the "teacher" glared at her and told her to hurry up. A boy then runs up to the tour guide and announces he was a good boy today, to which the teacher growls "yeah for the first time". My jaw dropped. Again, teacher couldn't have been bothered to even smile a hello. I mean this kid- who couldn't have been more than early 20s and same as the other one- just looked so miserable and disgusted to be at work with your children. Really a shame. When the tour guide/ site representative asked what I thought and if I wanted to sign my child up I couldn't hold back. I told her everyone of my observations and asked her if she noticed them too most importantly. She admitted she did and was embarrassed and planned to speak with them, especially coffee teacher. When I point blank asked her why would I send my child here after what I saw- what could she tell me to erase this experience- all she could muster up was "well my child went thru here, and now is doing good in 1st grade". Awesome. Oh and that the miserable teacher also tends to buy school supplies for the kids with her own money. Awesome. What's a shame is that the small child programs looked good- the 2 year teacher was amazing- Kind to the kids, so cordial, engaging. Constantly had a smile on her face, helped wash hands, cleaned- I mean she was great. So if you have a 1-2 year old maybe check it out but honestly beware of 4 year plus range. It was terrible. I hope this helps. As a parent your not looking for a perfect program but you are absolutely looking for a program where the teachers are caring, attentive, hard working, happy, nurturing. Maybe I caught them both on an off day which is what the representative tried telling me. You be the judge.

As a parent, the most important thing is knowing your kids are safe, happy, and well cared for, and I've always felt that way here. The teachers genuinely care about the children, and it shows in the relationships they build with them. Some of the teachers have been here for many years, which I think says a lot about the environment and the consistency they provide for the kids. Any time I've had a question or concern, it's always been addressed quickly. I've always felt like my children were in good hands. Choosing a daycare is one of the hardest decisions you'll make as a parent, and I'm so thankful we found this one. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy place for their children.

They were in an in home childcare prior & briefly at the YMCA but Kiddie academy is such a blessing in our lives! From the first day to now they rave about all of the fun activities they do there. I receive ample updates and can tell the teachers REALLY care about my girls. Meals are included making it easier on me as a mom as well. This summer they had many guests come in - zoo animals, a magician, theatre shows, kona ice, scientist, art bus and more. My 2 year old has started talking way more and my 3 year old is now able to write her name and starting to sound out words. My dream was always to homeschool but life had different plans - however I can not stress enough how happy I am that I know they are loved and learning everyday here. Additionally, I love the fact that they go outside often as in previous childcare locations this was so limited. I have toured many of the childcares in the area and I just want to say that this one is truly a gem and I would highly recommend to anyone. The kids here seem happy every time I come in - not just mine but almost all. Daycare is expensive no matter where you send kids but with lunch included this is still cheaper than many neighboring. I have so much good to say and my only complaint- which is not really a complaint- would be the hope to meet other parents more often as my kids go on and on about their friends at school and I wish I could arrange playdates for them at some point.

Most daycares in the area do not offer 2 day or 3 1/2 day options. I was glad to hear that it was offered here. The price was higher than its competitors, like St Matthew's school in Chester Springs. I met with Dawn and she was very informative and gave us a wonderful tour. My daughter was there as well and she just blended right in! She was super comfortable with all the teachers. The favorite thing I loved learning about the preschool was that it has been around for over 40 years and all of their teachers have been there over 5, 10, 15, 20 years. Their church has been around for 275 years! We are definitely considering coming here next year!

My 4 year old loves going to school. His teachers have all been great. He struggles with fine motor skills and his teacher takes the time to create special homework assignments for him that will help increase his abilities. I am enrolling my 2 year old in the fall. The office staff are extremely friendly, supportive and understanding. The only drawback for working parents is pickup is by 530 and typically there are fewer than 4 students remaining at this time. I don't mind it because I like the attention my son receives, but my husband would prefer more kids to play with for him at the end of the day. Prices are the best in the area for what you get. Definitely send your kids! Best preschool experience!

I had several academic weaknesses that I believe would have landed me in special ed if I had attended public school. Going to Kimberton allowed me to grow into myself in my own time. I *highly* recommend it. I teach at an afterschool program in NYC's Chinatown, and I see stressed, overworked children daily. Their parents hold the attitude that if they constantly study (after school, weekends, vacation, 24/7), only then will they succeed. I have observed several develop anxiety, and too many of them lack the ability to truly think for themselves. My point is, I did not even receive homework in lower school at all and still managed to grow into a capable, college educated adult. KWS (and Waldorf ed in general) actually puts careful thought into the development of children instead of treating them like mini robots. In response to Michael D: All schools have "risky social aspects", but that is due to the students, not the school. In my time at KWS, those who "indulged in pretty much all of it" were strongly dealt with by the school if the incident was on school grounds. Anything else is not the responsibility of the school, but your own, Michael. If you are concerned about what your kid is getting up to, perhaps take a look at your own parental discipline methods?
