My daughter missed the cut off for kindergarten due to her birthday but she was ready to be social with kids and learn. I decided to have her attend the learning experience for the year. I can't say enough good things about this place. Ashley the assistant director always answered any questions I had and my daughter absolutely loves her. Ms Fatana and Ms. Belsie were amazing teachers. They truly love all the kids and always made my daughter feel safe and welcome. The school does little events throughout the year for the kids and they had a nice pre k graduation at the end of the year. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a step up from a traditional daycare. They have a curriculum that they follow so your kids are learning throughout the year. The only thing I think that could be improved is a little more heads up for events etc. sometimes I felt like things were sprung on you last minute like pj day etc. maybe sending out a monthly calendar etc read more

I have been so happy with my experience with The Learning Experience! My granddaughter attends this school and I have seen so much growth in her in the last 6 months! My Son has been attending this school for four years now and we are completely satisfied with the level of professionalism and dedication from all. My Son love his teachers Ms. Belsie and Ms. Tatana and enjoys the material they give day to day. He has a well diverse group of friends who he talks about everyday when he comes home. The school conducts activities for every age group during every season to include bringing parent for show and tell, they also give the parents a night out with date night when they bring in the kids to watch a movie and eat pizza.. This is the worst place ever! If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The managers are the worst. It must be nice getting paid to do nothing all day. Well, actually, that's not true. They sit behind the desk on their phones, eating and running their mouths. I guess that counts as working. And the owners are no better. When you contact them with complaints or concerns, all they can say is I'm sorry, but never do anything to resolve the issues. They say all kinds of good things during the tour, but once you're enrolled, that's when everything starts. They don't care about your child. All they care about is the money and filling up the classrooms. There are even issues with the teachers in regard to how they engage with the students. I would address the things my child said was going on in the classroom, and again, no follow-up. Learning, what is that? There is no evidence of the curriculum being implemented. My child is not learning anything. This is a warning to all families, please don't waste your time or your money. There are plenty of other childcare centers that are better and charge less. I don't want you to go through what my family and I have experienced. Stay away from this place and tell your family and friends to do the same. read more

It's sad that I haven't even gone for the tour but already crossed off my list. I'm a mom full time, I work full time , have a second job and currently expecting. I understand you want to get me in the door to give me a tour and tell me all the amazing things about the place but if I can't afford it I'm not wasting my time. I first starting texting with someone asking me to schedule a tour etc I said I'm not going to tour without knowing the price they said we can't do that over text I said that's okay thank you. I got a call and I spoke with a nice lady and I said I would love to tour but I want to know prices because if I can't afford it I'm not going to take off work to see a beautiful place that is not a reality for me. School over rated only good for looks/colors..the curriculum and structure they have for kids to learn is mediocre and over rated. The teachers are not hands on everything is through a screen. They act like the care about your children but they don't, they switch staff left and right so there's no consistency. Save your time, money and child. read more

The Learning Experience is an amazing learning center! My oldest son learned to read because of their awesome teachers, and they were able to potty train my stubborn 3 year old right after being home for months due to COVID! We have been part of the TLE family for 4 years and we are so blessed to have them help our boys learn and grow. My oldest loves coming back during breaks and my youngest adores his teachers and friends. They have both learned so much! I have two children that attend TLE Woodbridge and I am extremely happy with their care. My son has been there for almost 3 years, currently in Preschool B, and my daughter, started in the infant room this February. My son has loved all of his teachers and currently talks about his current teachers, Ms. Ingrid and Ms. Crystal, constantly. The teachers are very caring and very involved with each of the students. The center director, Crystal, and business manager, Shawn, are also very accommodating, helpful, and responsive to any questions or concerns. I have never had any concerns about the safety or well-being of my children at this school. They've also taken great measures to keep the children and school as safe as possible during the current pandemic. They do multiple temperature checks for each student and staff member each day, masks for all employees, masks for children over two, distanced nap mats, and more. They do lots of fun activities and they have an app for parents that sends you notifications and pictures throughout the day of your child's activities (food, nap time, potty/diaper time, playground fun, etc). They did small field trips for the older kids (pre-COVID) and have water play days during the summer. Choosing a daycare is tough but I highly recommend this school. read more

I went in for a tour and the lady that gave me a tour was super friendly( it wasn't the director). I loved the daycare and the atmosphere seemed friendly. When I came back to register my son I let the director know (who seemed very friendly initially) that he falls on the Autism spectrum (high functioning just very hyper), but talks, plays and is a hyper three year old. She then said I needed to bring in his IEP, physical and all that good stuff and I paid the $125 registration fee. It wasn't until after I had paid the "non refundable fee" she told me he would be placed in a "trial week" because there main concern was the safety of the kids and because of his diagnosis. I said, "okay, so how often do you tell parents there kids can't stay here because of there behavior" (which keep in mind my son is very affectionate and sweet) and she just repeated the same thing "safety of the other Kids, like if he runs out of the classroom a lot we can't jeopardize the safety of the other kids." So that put me a little tense since my son is very hyper but it's two teachers in the classroom. Anyway, my first day I felt tension and every time we came in she would cut her eyes at me, like it was a hassle for her to get up out of her chair and let me in since I didn't get a key and my code didn't work. I tried to ignore that and assumed maybe she's having a bad day, but then everyday I got the same feeling that she didn't want my son there. By the second day they said my son ran out of the classroom but stood in front of the door and I said why didn't you guys have eyes on him? And that door to the classroom is freaking heavy so I don't know how he ran out? His classroom teacher made me sign an incident report because the director wanted it for her records. I've only filled out incident reports if he got hurt or sick.. so then by the third day she said if he gets one more he would get dis-enrolled from the program and I said don't worry about it I'm taking him out. I'm not bashing this place but don't waste your time here if you have a child with any special need because they don't cater to that. I'm grateful that I wasn't charged for those three days but I felt so judged because of his iep and my son wasn't even given a real chance. And a parent knows when your kid is unwanted here. The director's attitude toward me those three days my son was there, was just unprofessional, and made those three days really uncomfortable for me. My son started daycare here about a month ago. Let me just start off by saying how pleased I am with my decision. Choosing a daycare can be so scary. I realized that after going to (6) DIFFERENT daycare centers in the area, before coming across the "The Learning Experience" which in fact was the 7th one I visited, which is now the one my son is enrolled in. The Staff & the Teachers are just all so Welcoming & Caring. It was my sons first time in daycare and he has adapted so well with all his little classmates. My sons safety was one of my biggest concerns when it came to picking a center & although it is impossible to tell a parent not to worry I feel at ease knowing he is in good hands. My sons grandmother which is my mother, went to pick my son up one day for the first time. Upon her arrival, the director made sure to pull my paperwork out (My Signed documents) to see who my son could be released too. Made her go back out to the car because she needed to see & make a copy of her ID (to make sure the information on my paperwork & my mothers ID were the exact same) which they were .. So after my mother was given the GO, to walk in, she preceded to my sons classroom to pick him up. Once she got into the classroom, his teacher didn't recognize my mother and knew she wasn't familiar(even though my son was very familiar with her) she still got on the phone that's in the classroom, called down to the director in the main office to MAKE sure it was okay for this unfamiliar woman (to her) to pick my son up. Which then of course was cleared and good to go. But let me just tell y'all how HAPPY & VERY PLEASED I am with how this situation was handled. I know they"re just doing their job but it was a wonderful job. They truly care about your child's safety while being there & I couldn't ask for more. Later on That evening I met my mother & she explained what she had to go through to get him and i can't even began to explain how happy it made me feel. I'm so thankful I found this place! I called the center for rates and I was told they don't give them over the phone. I am a super busy business women. I took time to actually go visit the center in between clients. I told them I have a very limited amount of time and I wanted to know pricing and maybe a quick tour. I was given a I pad to sign in and watch a video witch I did NOT have time for. They were very impersonal and cold. I just wanted a quick tour. So I just left. This is not a place I want my child in. They are probably corporate sponsored by some big company. Not warm, not inviting. And over the phone they said they were cheaper then their competitors about 15% cheaper. Well that was a lie or some type of marketing scheme. There rates are actually the highest in the area. $267 for full time 2 yr old. read more

TLE is the first preschool my son had ever attended and I didn't have a great experience for the 3 weeks he attended. Within the first week my son got punched in the eye and bit on his finger leaving a bruise. Everyday he came home telling me how a kid hit or kicked him. Don't get me wrong I know that's what kids do and it's going to happen but at a certain point it makes me wonder where the supervision is. Every time I asked his teachers about it they both would say they didn't see or they have a lot of students to keep an eye on. That's like the worse thing you can tell a parent especially if your son is coming home with marks. Worse of all my son couldn't spend the last week in school and enjoy his Halloween because he got extremely sick by the second week he attended school here. It started out with his nose constantly running and turned into s flu, next thing you know he had a sinus/ ear infection and has to be on antibiotics for an entire 2 weeks. I'm aware that kids get sick when they are at school but I'm am not exaggerating when I say every time I picked him up multiple children would have there noses running down to there chin. Not to mention the teachers would be sitting on the floor trying to get kids to go to sleep and 3-4 3 years old would be in the bathroom doing everything themself. I worked at a Montessori school for 2 years so I'm well aware of how a school should be run and what kind of supervision should take place. I often wonder if it was just my sons class that was unorganized because every day I picked him up right before nap time and every single class had there kids sound asleep and as soon as I walked in my sons class half of the class was laying down and the other half where screaming or playing in the water in the bathroom. I would not recommend this place at all. Take your time and money somewhere else. I'm not one to give a bad review but when it comes to my child I expect much more than what was given at TLE. read more

When my son lights up and gets excited when we get to daycare I know he is in great hands. Yesterday was my daughters last day as we are moving out of the area. I can't tell you how heart broken I was. My daughter is 2 years old and has learned so much! The teachers, Ms. Maria and Ms. Julie, are so loving, patient, and kind. Every time I drive home from picking up my little one she would sing all of her songs that she learned from circle time. I was very interested in this center and the programming that it offered. The manager who answered my call was generally very helpful and gave a great summary of program options and availability for the age range of my children, including upcoming additions and what to expect for transition periods. She offered to schedule a tour or for me to stop by at my convenience. Then I asked about rates, and she cited "corporate policy" saying that she could not disclose any of the rates (other than registration fees) via phone or over email, since they wanted people to come in and visit the center directly. Guess what: If you don't value my time and interest enough to provide this information transparently, then I'm certainly not going to take additional time take time off from my full-time job and commute to come in for another sales pitch. If you play games on the business end, you can't expect people to trust you with the care of their children. Sorry, TLE - you started out strong, but you didn't make the cut. read more

I took her out temporarily for financial reasons and placed her in a cheaper school with the ability to watch my child on camera throughout the day and yet I still felt more comfortable with the Learning Experience. The bright colors make the atmosphere welcoming. The curriculum is very organized. My daughter has learned so much. The teachers are amazing and overall, the school is just fantastic! Our son has been here for 2+ years and we are extremely pleased and satisfied with this center. The staff is LOVING and genuinely seem to care about the children. The teachers are AMAZING! Thanks to the teachers and curriculum used at TLE, our son is more than prepared (socially, emotionally, and academically) to start kindergarten this fall. The administrators (Tara and Shawn) are great- if you have a concern, they will address it. Prior to attending TLE, our son was at two other well-known childcare centers in the area, and neither were as good as TLE- cleanliness was an issue, and the curriculum was not as robust. When my son is at TLE, I do not have to worry about his well-being. I know he is safe, happy, and learning. I highly recommend TLE. read more

To be honest, the reviews on Yelp are what caught my attention and made me tour the facility. The bells and whistles drew us in and the reasonable tuition was also a plus. After a month, our daughter still could not adjust - and she has been in daycare for 2 years prior to this without problems. We equated her poor transition to the new environment, but it never got any better. On separate occasions, my husband and I both witnessed behavior from the staff that really made us question the level of care. If they were willing to act/talk the way they did in front of parents, how were they acting when nobody is watching? The end of the day reports were either not provided to us, or the teacher in the room at the time never knew how our daughter's day was because "she just got there". It was as if nobody was paying attention. The fact that our daughter was new to the facility made us anticipate a warm welcoming and assistance from the teachers in helping her transition. We were NEVER greeted by a teacher during drop off - we had to initiate the conversation. While our daughter was crying and clinging on to me, I would have to ask a teacher to please take her so I could leave. Common sense, to me, means you would know the child needs a little TLC to feel comfortable. I e-mailed some of our concerns to the director and never got a response. Finally, we made the decision to pull her from this center. We just didn't feel comfortable. On the the last day, I went to get my daughter and walked into the room, which smelled horrific. The two teachers were sitting on the ground guessing who the dirty diaper(s) belonged to. Again, neither even acknowledged that I was there. As I bent down to put my daughter's coat on her, I realized she had a dirty diaper, which I verbalized to the teachers. One said, "Oh, well do you want us to change her?"...and then they teased back and forth whose turn it would be for diaper duty. I declined and said I would just do it at home. I wish I had stayed for a diaper change so that they could see what kind of disaster was going on with the result of DRIED poo that was stuck to my daughter. She fought me terribly when trying to clean it off and I don't blame her - areas were starting to bleed from my attempts to get her clean. It was horrible. According to her daily report - it had been 4 hours since her last diaper change. My guess, she made this dirty diaper 4 hours before I got to it. UNACCEPTABLE! Overall, I think the director made us feel like TLE was going to put our daughter ahead by leaps and bounds. In reality, the level of care is minimal, the staff is less than compassionate, and the level of communication is non-existent. I'm happy to see other parents are actually pleased here - I would love to know why our experience was so drastically different. I've been on Yelp for 4 years and this is only my 5th review - the other 4 have been based on excellent experiences. Went to check this place out for my niece who is moving to town soon. The facility is new and beautiful. Playground looks fantastic. And the staff who showed me around were very courteous. They provided me with a pamphlet with a list of activities that the kids enjoy there. The center proudly shows off the works of the kids. Part of the introduction to the center is a video that gives you a clear picture of what the center has to offer. Definitely a top pick. Loved it. read more

I am very happy to have found The Learning Experience! My children have been going to The Learning Experience for the last 3 years. Some would say that I am a bit of an overprotective parent. I am not sure if that is the case, but I do want to feel a sense of comfort and security when i drop my children off for care while i am at work. I am also very big on open and direct communication. When searching for a new child care facility, I toured 7 or 8 of the surrounding area facilities and was not impressed by most of them. There were two in particular that I was somewhat interested in. The main reason I chose The Learning Experience over the other location was for a few main reasons. 1) The Learning Experience has monitoring capabilities throughout the entire building, so you are always able to see your child. 2) The facility is painted with bright colors, shapes, characters, etc. throughout the rooms and hallways that builds on to the already inviting educational atmosphere. 3)The tuition is affordable and meals are included in the price. They also offer additional discounts dependent upon how you chose to pay the tuition each biweekly/monthly. 4) The rooms offered a large selection of activities and the teachers seemed very professional and inviting. I am very pleased with the curriculum! The facilities and the staff are wonderful! The owner stops in from time to time which to me shows a passion for their business, the Director and Assistant Director are wonderful when it comes to addressing any concerns that you may have, and the teachers are outstanding! Even though my office has relocated, I still chose to make the drive for my kiddos, because I love this place, they love this place, they are learning!!--and to me, that is well worth the drive!! read more

My daughter has been with the center since June 2014 and I am very happy with the care she is being given. She was in the summer camp which was great and definitely kept the kids busy with multiple activities/field trips over the course of the summer. Her teachers genuinely care about her and have gotten to know her on a personal level which is more than I expected. She now attends before and after care. They bus her to/from school and I am very pleased with the care she gets. I have not dealt with the owners so cannot comment on anything regarding them because I have never met them. There has not been any turn over in the management since I've had Laila there and I really love Sara and Kelsey's attitudes about their jobs. They are both very sincere and happy to be at work. I've thoroughly enjoyed dealing with both of them. The center is very clean and the halls are filled with the art work the kids have done. Its nice seeing that when you are walking through the center. The indoor play area is probably one of the coolest things you will ever see at a day care. They usually only get to play there when its raining or too cold to go outside which is a bummer because they kids love playing in there. The outdoor playground is really nice as well. The Learning Experience is a wonderful center that is assisting my son as he transitions from a home daycare. The teachers are great!!! They are patiently working with him as he learns the schedule and structure associated with TLE. He hasn't been there long but my wife and I can already tell that he is learning and experiencing great things. The center is decorated with all types of projects from the kids and items from the teachers for each season. The lobby is inviting as well. They offer coffee and apple cider to the parents each day. You can tell that the teachers and center management care about the experience for the parents as well. There are also informative pamphlets and flyers to help parents with knowing what to expect of their child at various ages/stages. The management staff was nice and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions and were attentive to all of our needs. read more
