    Walking up the sidewalk

We so enjoyed our class! I ran across The Learning Kitchen and found that they had a Indian Cooking class. I have a friend who loves Indian food. This was a couples class so I called her up to see if she wanted to be my other half in the class. So we signed up in October for a class in January. Now I am glad we signed up early as we found out that there were 80 people on the waitlist for the class. They told us it was one of the most popular classes. Class was for two hours 6-8pm and I arrived pretty early at about 5:20pm and they were getting everything ready but still greeted me as I came in the door and showed me where the aprons were, the restrooms, the complimentary water, and the wine & drinks available for purchase. I did indulge in a Riesling. They also have some kitchen items, olive oils, butter bells, etc for purchase. I washed up and put my apron on and it smelled so good in the kitchen already from all of the open pre-measured spices. My girlfriend arrived and we filled out a name tag and got ready to cook! There were 14 people in the class! It was a very friendly atmosphere and for some it was not their first time. Each couple had a cooktop with pans, a cutting board, spoons, forks, chef knife, mortar and pestle, tongs, a spoon for stirring the sauces, and pre-measured spices. Under our station were our dinner plates, naan dough, aluminum foil for the naan, gloves, and our prepped ingredients including marinating chicken. They led us through each cooking step and explained about the different spices, the cooking was a breeze really. There was conversation through-out and really a relaxed, fun, well planned class. Also there was an added bonus at the end when I purchased an item from the shop of 10% off the day of class. Everyone finished at the same time and plated their food. We plated Saag Paneer, Chicken Makhani (butter chicken), Jeera Chawal (cumin rice that was pre-made), and Naan. We enjoyed our meal and decided we would come again for another class. As we walked out a couple from the restaurant next door stopped us and asked us how it was and if we thought it was worth it. We answered that we had a fun night and learned a few things and that we would recommend trying it.

Our journey to The Learning Kitchen was to learn how to cook Chicken Saltimbocca, an Italian dish made with Chicken breast, thin sliced prosciutto Ham, Fontina Cheese & white wine. Sometimes following a recipe out of a cookbook doesn't get you to the finish line. That's where the Learning Kitchen comes in. In a single class, Gayle our instructor taught us to make our own salad dressing, a creamy risotto (without cream) and our main course of Chicken Saltimbocca. This was a fun learning experience where you get to eat what you cook. They won't make you a chef but they will definitely upgrade your culinary skills. You get to interact with other students and share cooking ideas. We found the class to be a very enjoyable experience, the food was delicious and we learned some tricks of the trade.

Learning kitchen is a great place to go with a friend or significant other. They hold many classes and you don't have to be an expert to try. First time we went we made Paella and Arroz con Leche. I very much enjoyed the experience of learning how to make these dishes and found out I like Arroz con Leche. Highly recommend doing this if you're interested in learning something new. Instructor's were friendly and helpful.

been coming here for two years now so my 11 yo can take cooking classes. This place is wonderful and do a really great job with young children. Chef Ramon is very good with children and really is engaging. Highly recommend parent child date night and check it out.

Had a great experience at the learning kitchen! Our chef Kevin was awesome at explaining each step of the process. We did the homemade pasta and meatball class!

Came here for a work event and really had a hands down awesome experience! We decided to do the Homemade Corn Tortilla Street Tacos as a group. We had a couple vegetarians and we were able to sub in Beyond Beef instead of Carne Asada. Upon arriving we were offered beverages right away - we all opted for water while cooking and beers while eating. The set up here is great - each person gets their own cook top and makes all portions of the meal. Each cook top was set up with ingredients in the correct portions - we were taken through them all before starting. The chef had pre-chopped some of the ingredients for the taco slaw, but others we were left to chop and he instructed us through holding the knife correctly and how to chop each item in the correct way. After making the slaw, we moved onto the taco shells - we made our own taco shells from scratch! This was probably the coolest part of the experience. After the shells we learned how to cook the meat and then finally got to enjoy our tacos! We made 2 tacos with Fish and 2 with the Carne Asada and had cilantro rice, chips and guac and other toppings on the side. The entire meal was delicious and our chef was super nice and attentive. I definitely learned a lot about basic cooking skills and techniques, as well as tacos. Having the ability to make all portions of the meal makes me feel more confident in trying to reapply at home. I definitely recommend The Learning Kitchen if you are looking for a cooking class as the set up is one that can't be beat!

Best Date Night Ever! What a blast! My wife and I had so much fun at the Homemade Pasta Marinara class! We made a homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing on a fresh green salad, followed by homemade meatballs, and pasta from scratch. All Super Delicious! Our Chef Ramon was amazing and very patient with everyone no matter the skill level. He made it very fun! We cant wait to go back again.

This was such a great time. I loved the small class size. The food was easy to replicate at home and absolutely delicious. Chef was funny and super helpful with instructions. Great time! Highly recommend

My aunt and I booked a class for the 2 of us. Upon arrival we were welcomed to sit and have snacks as well as a drink. The cooking class came with 2 drinks. They had fantastic non-alcoholic options. Mocktails that weren't an afterthought. It was fantastic! Our instructor took the time to explain how everything would work and then we were told to find our pre-assigned stations. At our stations, a lot of the prep work and measuring of ingredients was already done for us. This taught me a lot about prep work and successful cooking. I am not a very good cook and between my aunt and myself, we stayed at pace with the instructor. Absolutely friendly for beginners or those without cooking talent. When we finished cooking, we sat down back at our seats to enjoy the food we had prepared. I couldn't believe that I cooked what I was eating! We were sent home with their in house cookies and the recipes to what we cooked. Not only were the food choices delicious and awesome but the experience was so much fun! I highly recommend.

There were only eight people in the class and we were separated into two tables of four, so we did everything with another couple. A pro of this is that you don't have to do ALL the work - you can split tasks among people in your group and have time to watch/listen/learn/enjoy. However, that may be a con for people who want to do every step of the recipe themselves. A con to this could also come if you get paired up with people who are taking it seriously when you want to have fun or vice versa. Luckily the couple we were paired with were cool and liked to have fun and joke around, just as we did. Our chef/instructor was Rebecca and she was the best part of the class! She was very knowledgeable, engaging, and made us laugh a lot. She will even photobomb your pictures (she did warn us at the beginning haha) - photo evidence included! A big con for us is that they do not serve alcohol during cooking classes. However, you are technically allowed to bring in your own if it is not in the obvious wine/alcohol bottle. We brought wine in Yeti tumblers and they did not mind at all. However, it felt kind of odd because the other people were not drinking. In cooking classes we've done t other places, wine and beer was served throughout the entire class and just about everyone was taking part. Still, it's nice that you can enjoy some wine if you know this beforehand and remember to bring your own. The food was incredible!!! We made salads and lobster ravioli. It was my first time making any type of homemade pasta and now I'm set on getting the pasta making attachment on my Kitchen Aid mixer! The portions were not the biggest and there was no dessert (I have a HUGE sweet tooth so this was a disappointment for me). Still, all in all it was a fun experience. We will not be rushing back, but we're open to trying it again.
