I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with The Learning Tree and with the director, Latasha. Latasha and all of her staff are nurturing, dependable, trustworthy (I could go on and on about their positive qualities), etc. I heard about Latasha's program through a parent and because I was pressed for time, enrolled my son immediately. As this was my only child and I had no prior experience with centers, I did not know what to expect. Once he started, I quickly learned that had I had expectations, they would have easily been exceeded. Yes, The Learning Tree provided quality care to my child. I felt comfortable dropping him off every day and I could tell that he felt safe there and enjoyed his time at the center. But.... my child's experience as well as my own went so far beyond that. My son and really, myself also, became a part of The Learning Tree Family. Latasha and her teachers made up a whole new group of people that cared for my child as much as I did. My son attended The Learning Tree in through Kindergarten. By the time he started Kindergarten, he was reading perfectly (I'm not exaggerating) all because of the time and effort the teachers at Latasha's put in with him. In addition to teaching him, they ensured that he learned life lessons and that he had a good time. They went on numerous field trips, some educational and some for fun. They participated in various community service projects such as backpack drives and feeding the homeless. When they did these activities, Latasha made sure that they understood the reasons why they were doing them and why service to the community is important. Although my child has aged out of The Learning Tree, this program is still a part of our lives. If ANYONE asks for childcare recommendations, I send them to The Learning Tree and from these people, I have heard nothing but positive experiences. Both myself and my son visit the facility regularly and Latasha and the teachers have become a part of our extended family. Latasha and The Learning Tree were a huge factor in my son's early learning and development and to this day, I know that a contributing factor to his success in school and really, the way he goes about his life, is because of the skills he was taught and the experiences he had while at The Learning Tree. We are so lucky to have found The Learning Tree! Our first child has been with them for almost 3 years and our second child is attending now, she goes home with laughs every day. This is a caring child center and is very patient to deal with my child for any special need. She keeps kids busy, always doing crafts, activities. They always update us with messages/pictures, so we won't miss any special moments of our child. Also, this place is the cleanest center we have ever been to. We absolutely LOVE you! read more

The other negative reviews here are spot on. I only wish I had read them prior to enrolling, it would have saved our family a lot of unnecessary stress. This facility is in complete chaos. I just wanted to express my gratitude to my Learning Tree Family. You are more than a babysitter. You are more than a daycare. You are family! Thank you for believing in LaTasha's vision and being on board to see it through day to day. Thank you for being a partner in the community who truly loves and cares for our children or as Mrs. LaTasha calls them "our friends". My child has been with LaTasha since the age of 6 months and has unfortunately aged out at 7. She has had several other children that have been with her since infancy and aged out. That alone says a lot. Please believe if she had not aged out she would still be attending The Learning Tree. Of course the childcare is a business and it has to be about money to a certain degree any mature responsible adult would understand this. However, I can assure you that's not the main and only focus here. LaTasha truly loves and cares for her friends. It's not often that people are able to mix profession and passion. This is LaTasha gift, her passion, and she's great at what she does. I have witnessed her not giving up on a child when several other childcare's did. Needles to say the kid ended up thriving in her care. Everything isn't for everyone but I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

WARNING! Take heat to these negative reviews because they are accurate. I am going to keep this as short and factual as possible because I want people to read it. This facility pushes their limits right up to the state laws in order to maximize profit. Who suffers the consequences? Our children. Day care facilities are aloud a maximum 12:1 child adult ratio. At nap time, they are allowed a maximum 24:1 ratio as long as all children stay on their cots. The learning tree has 24 kids in each class with with 2 teachers. They have 4 classrooms with different age groups. I can only speak specifically to the 3 - 4 year old classroom because this is the class my son was in. I sat in to observe this class and am only reporting facts. This facility forces the children to stay on their cots for 3 hours so that both staff members can take an hour lunch. The staff then have an hour or so of paperwork to complete before they let the children up. They can only take children that are easily forced to cooperate because they have so many kids. I was told my child was terminated because he had needs that the facilities staff could not provide. This is accurate because this facility is NOT nurturing, caring, or educational. There is no one on one time to support development and your kid will be just a number. This place should not be called The Learning Tree. They do not have a curriculum that they teach the children, they can barley keep them on task because they are so overwhelmed. The name of this facility should be The Money Tree. I went to enroll my daughter at this daycare last week I spoke to the director and teachers about my daughters needs and how she need more attention because she is going thru a rough time with her dad recently left the house , she reassured me that they were going to be willing to assist her needs . Well they called me on the first day after 4 hours before nap time that she was acting crazy and I had to pick her up ( my daughter has been terrified lately to go to sleep ) well I went to get her that day upset and frustrated . The second day when u dropped her off I asked to see cameras on the previous day to see what she had done ? They said that they would arrange a meeting for that . 4 hours later again nap time they start sending me videos of my daughter running around the class and not wanting to lay on the cot for nap time . The worst part was hearing their voices so cold with no compassion to her feelings at all !! There was no reassurance at all .. my daughter starts crying at one point after feeling cornered and forced to take a nap in a new school with people she doesn't know. Terrible experience .. that day the director told me they could t help us anymore and didn't want her to come back ..and returned me the enrollment fee. Very poorly handled from both the teacher and the director ! She is a 4 year old going thru emotional pain missing her dad and she wasn't treated right from people who should be able to assist young children and comfort them while their parents go to work ! read more

We had a wonderful 3-year experience with The Learning Tree. The Directors and Teachers are not only extremely nurturing but truly play a meaningful role in the children's overall development. The curriculum is stimulating and gives the children the foundational educational and social skills as they move on to kindergarten. Our daughter is thriving in kindergarten and The Learning Tree played a vital role in setting her up for success. I don't usually write reviews but I came on here to write a review for the Learning Tree because I've had such a great experience with them and they have gone above and beyond for my son. My son loves Latasha and her staff. They make sure to provide me updates throughout the day or if I call to check in, they are always willing to take the time to talk to me or let me say hi to my son. My son loves going here and he always shares the fun, meaningful activities they did each day. I have visited many times and I am very pleased with the care the kids receive. The Learning Tree has accomodating and attentive teachers. The school is very clean, and I always notice at the end of the day (I'm always one of the last parents for pickup) they sanitize and clean very well. My son was never sick during his pre-school time except for a few sniffles. My son always tells us he had so much fun when we picked him up at the end of the day. The kids are taught how to be respectful and to have proper manners and it shows in the behavior of the kids in the school. Miss LaTasha is a genuine person, she would not hesitate to discipline kids even when parents are around. Miss Shanu and Miss Maica are awesome and our son loves them. When asked who is his favorite teacher, he would say all of them. He cried on his last day since he will be leaving Learning Tree to start kindergarten; however, we will bring our son back for the summer camp program! read more

The teachers are amazing with the kids and really knowledge their feelings and help them to work it out when an issue arises. This place is awful. They are understaffed & the staff that are there lack experience, leadership & confidence. They do not care about your child, their learning journey or specific needs. The lack of professionalism is appalling. Matters that should be handled by the Director are passive aggressively communicated via a phone call from the receptionist and when questioned I was stonewalled unless I forced them to speak to me. They say the right things up front & then do the opposite, complete bait & switch. I was considering enrolling my infant & on a waiting list but every time I peaked into the infant room they were out of compliance with the child to staff ratios, babies were crying unattended, left unattended on the floor & snotty. We have requested video from the facility and still have not received anything...shady! We entrust people like this with the lives of our babies and for this to be taken so lightly is extremely irresponsible and reckless. My son started at the Leaning Tree in August and in this short of time, he knows his ABC's, he's counting, recognizing shapes, colors, writing his name, and etc... all the instructors are great, the encouragement to the kids and parents to be on the same page is a wonderful for the kids to strive.
