Yesenia and her team have provided my son a safe, LOVING, and fun place to explore, develop, and create friendships while my husband and I worked our long (more than 8 hours) hours. It always felt like every team member knows every kid and their parents regardless of whether that kid was in their class or not. You can see from their profiles that many of them have worked there / with each other for a long time. They reminded me all the time that they work with kids for such a long time that changing their soiled underwear while potty training is not a big deal. For awhile, my son kept asking about his 'red daycare' and his 'old friends' as we painfully transitioned to the new daycare. He still remembers Ms. Patty loving a song as it comes on the radio and he enjoys reading the Pete the Cat book that Ms. Angelica read. Our new daycare has great, friendly kids and the staff is reliable. But nothing can really fill the shoes of this daycare. They were such a big part of our lives and I will miss them dearly.

Helena was shy of two years old when she started attending Stepping Stones. One of the things that stood out for me how she was treated with love since day one, and nurtured in ways that allowed her to grow and develop secure attachments. Although she was saying a few words here and there, it wasn't until she started going there that she began speaking full sentences. We were highly impressed with how quickly she adapted to her environment and thrived with the help and attention of the staff. I am sure this would not have been possibly at home, not even with the encouragement we gave her. Another thing I liked was the student to teacher ratio. Because of the reasonable numbers, our daughter was able to get a lot of individualized attention. Not only was she nurtured, she was also disciplined accordingly when needed. The constant communication we had with staff during times she acted out was reassuring. She was held accountable and it was done so with love and care. Overall, I am highly satisfied with the service rendered. I would also like to add how reasonably priced they are in comparison to other facilities. I have met some of the most wonderful teachers here and would encourage anyone to send their little ones here. The structured classes, amazing teachers and prices make this place a 10 in my book.

The staff was friendly, especially the ladies at the front desk. Those were two very big positives. They also fed the kids which was nice. However, my child kept getting incident reports, multiple a day. I started to feel really down on myself as a parent. I didn't know what to do because the behavior wasn't the same at home because she's an only child. I got calls to pick up my child, but I was at work. It was hard. I understand safety is important but my child was not even 2 years old yet. She had to be taught and sending her home wasn't teaching her. She never bit a kid. She was rough or ran from teachers in the class and on the play yard. I feel like that's normal behavior for not even being 2 yet. She needed exposure and to be taught the expectations. I don't understand how she could be doing such bad things to be sent home. I finally ended up pulling her because my husband was told she was sitting in the office for an hour crying the whole time. My husband took off work and picked her up and she was sobbing and couldn't stop. He sent me a video and it was awful. Toddlers should not be treated that way. I didn't feel comfortable. That was not appropriate punishment for her age. I teach 5 and 6 year olds and we don't have them sitting and crying for an hour. I never took her back. Safety is important, I know. They said they were following rules, okay. I completely understand them having to follow the rules. It was just not for my child, so we left. She was there about a month. I waited to review because at the time I didn't know if my child was just THAT uncontrollable. No. I feel like she needed to be taught and needed AGE appropriate redirection/consequences. She's at a new daycare now doing great for the past 8 months!

Now that I work an 8am to 5pm plus, caring for niece and some weekends I work long hours, I haven't had a chance to volunteer my time as I would like. However, during my time here I mostly made sure the families who were here had everything they needed to be comfortable whether it was home cooked meals to gardening. I love gardening so I would plant flowers or make sure the weeds are pulled so families can go outside and look at a well kept garden. Even small stuff like that definitely goes a long way and even the little children love it and sometimes the little ones would want to help out. I helped put on a movie night in which at the RMDH I watched Frozen for the first time so this place will always be special to me. I cannot wait to come back and volunteer my time here. If you have the opportunity to do so I would highly recommend. I love Valley Children's hospital and what they do for our kids because you never know when you will need RMDH. Right now its about to be December...and its frigidly cold! E X P E R I E N C E: I recently joined the competitive Break the Barriers Archery Team. I used to shoot archery when I was able-bodied, yet I had to overcome some life-changing hurdles to relearn my beloved sport of archery after a freak occupational accident that caused severe vision loss. Through the coaching services at Break the Barriers, I was able to enjoy this sport again. Presently, I traverse my world using a guide cane while being supported by adaptive technology, four acute senses, and random gourmanding blunders. Overall, I have enjoyed the camaraderie that I've received from both my challenged athlete and able-bodied teammates. Everyone from the BTB archery program, staff and participants have been very respectful, supportive, and sometimes hilarious. It's nice to feel like I'm a part of something where "disability" divides us apart.

Having been through the public school system here, it was an easy decision to choose this school for my children. No racism, no drugs, no woke agendas. All stuff I had to deal with growing up in public schools. The kids are confident in their faith and represent the ideals and purity of Islam as Muslims.
